  1. Its possible. Google it
  2. Grave digging this thread as semi relevant to what’s going through my head. MP7 GBB. Do you need to have a NPAS installed when running via an airtac adapter? My understanding on GBB is limited but I understand the NPAS for GBB primary function is to keep the FPS within site limits. That being said something similar can be achieved via the chosen PSI. However, does cranking the PSI have any negative draw backs, faster detection of parts and so fourth. Welcoming some nerdy answers.
  3. Bringing this thread back to life. They are still impossible to find in the UK any one have any joy or better at internet searching then me
  4. I play Phoenix regularly as its pretty close to me, that Sat/Sun option just makes it accessible. It has its good days and its bad days. Recently I've had mostly good days. I prefer it over Skirmish round the corner; just prefer the actual site. Feel free to drop me a PM should you wish to shoot.
  5. Mostly the exact same by all accounts. Just new ownership and rebrand. I think they have plans do away with that awful dusty floor and change things around a bit. At the end of the day, only so much you can change there without a complete rebuild.
  6. Just a direct motor replacement?
  7. Hey Team, Bought myself an old ICS MP5. Pretty happy with the deal I got but wanting to tinker with it. What I want out of it. A snappier trigger really. I put a 7.4V Lipo in there last night and it was rather sluggish, well very. But that's okay, I wasn't expecting much. My logic is to try and get this suitable for a 11.1V Lipo, I have loads of those that will fit therefore I don't have to factor this into the cost. In order to do this I believe I will need/should have a mosfet. Now I'm not really after anything fancy, something no more then the £25 mark, taking up 50% of my budget. I've seen the Gate Nano Mosfet that has AAB, active breaking. Which I presume is going to help. I think I know the answer, but do I need active breaking? Logic to me says so. Following this I was thinking just short stroking the standard gear set by 3 teeth, if someone could clarify if this should be done off the pick up release side that would be great. Will need to then shortstroke the piston by the same amount of teeth, on the release side. The rest of the budget will most likely go towards the hop up. Any suggestions for this? Maple leaf rubbers seem to the best but I'm having a tough time finding the macron rubber and nub both in stock. I'm thinking perhaps just a cheaper but none the less viable option. Having said this, I have yet to shoot into anything that isn't a cardboard box. Hopefully that will give me close to the results I'm after. I'm not really looking for anything mental. I'll also be testing airseals, I have spare O-Rings should they need to be replaced. I've think I've read in the past about polishing the inside of cylinders... Any real need? If you have any advice about low cost improvements I can do feel free to let me know. I'll try and get a video of it firing at some point. At present, the estimate build cost is only £35.00 I'm going to see if I can get it performing better for that. Failing its still a bit eh. Would it be better to opt for 12:1/13:1 gears or a higher torque/higher speed motor? TIA.
  8. From Nottingham. I travel all over playing though. Let me know if you ever need someone to go with ?
  9. Hey dude. I’m in the East Midlands. Often go myself. Feel free to DM me. I usually go by myself or one other.
  10. Has anyone just tried Lonex 200 round mid caps?

Never seem to do anything logically I’m afraid ?

  11. On this topic, is there a point of diminishing returns for upping the weight used? In terms of range. Always used .28s and thought this was considered the "sweet spot" but is it a case of your sacrificing a few M for a much higher effective range?
  12. Out of curiosity; what other events are similar to this that aren’t run poorly?
  13. Ok - legend thats easy enough to change.
  14. Hello All, I bought a Krytac trident SPR cheap off the forums. When I got it it, it arrived fairly hot. So I paid the onsite tech at the local shop £20 for a quick spring change to bring it down. However, since then it just sounds rather.... Twangy. Thought it might be a good opportunity to learn some very basic tech work. I presume the twang is coming from the spring / spring guide. Do krytac trident series accept most upgrade/replacement parts? I had a look at the disassembly of it online - doesn't look to complex. My main goal would be to sort out the twang and reshim the gearbox, should it need it.
  15. Can I ask how much of it is in play? Looks like the building has at least 4 floors/levels. are they all in play?
  16. I had read this myself before going. In the view of being open minded and all the jazz. Can honestly say I didn't experience the issues they did. I've had several amazing days there. Sure, there may of been a minor incident here or there but nothing I've ever looked back at and thought it ruined my time. EDIT: Sorry thinking about it; smoke inside is stupid. I remember the first time it happened to be and being totally unware. They may of covered it within the safety brief. Still think its great place. Worth a go! Lots of people have come out saying bad things about it but I enjoy it. I'm at phoenix saturday if you're visiting?
  17. Hey dude, Semi-related. I see you're based north east midlands (ish). I've been to Campa Sparta a few times recently had great fun. They operate as standard close to Battlesim, only breaking for lunch. If you haven't been I would check it out.
  18. Traveled to Oakham to visit The Gaol. Was fast paced CQB with the least amount of moaning I've experienced at any day of airsofting. Extremely enjoyable. The venue is great with it being a disused prison. Plenty of buildings to navigate through, some light, some pitch black (or close to). Outdoor areas were interesting with just the right amount of cover in each area. The owner of the site is what I believe made it so great. He switched up windows that were open, access around the site and through buildings in-between all games. Kept you thinking throughout to prevent yourself being shot in the arse and thinking about how you can be sneaky-sneaky. Looking forward to going again in the future. If anyone is around the East Midlands area, I would highly advise doing so. I believe they used to operate with around 100 attendees per game day, however they restricted number due to covid and have decided to keep it that way permanently even if they cannot afford to do so (the words from the owner himself).
  19. I have indeed, had good results. Ive also tried intermittent fasting on 8 and 6 hour eating windows. But similar, i wouldn't suggest them to the average joe trying to loose 2 stone. When I say I don't agree with it, I dont agree that you should have to make such a huge change in lifestyle to achieve a more healthy weight / view on yourself / whatever the goal is. If someone is trying to loose weight and opt for healthier life styles, I don't think it should be the go to option. People should focus more on there relationship with food. Knowing how many calories are in your meal, being able to deal with a bit of mental hunger cravings because youre frankly bored. I just think there is more sustainable choices for the average person; not disputing it doesnt work. I feel that most people with a bad relationship with food will struggle to see if through. The most important thing is just doing what works for you and what you enjoy as ultimately that will be the easier to sustain.
  20. I personally don't agree with cutting out carbs, they are far more filling then calorie dense foods such as fats. For me its as simple as calories in vs calories out. Don't get me wrong, I still eat fats as part of a balanced approach. There are 'naughty' foods that you can snack on that are low calorie dense foods, personal favorite is cheap microwave popcorn. One bag, which is a pretty large bowl is around 150 calories. You can't out train a bad diet however. Cannot recommend doing what others have suggest, martial arts, boxing ect to loose weight. Its fun, engaging and you burn bloody loads of calories doing so. Oh, and hiking/walking. Not like 20 minute walks, 2-8 hours of walking (if not airsofting at the weekend) is fantastic. I am however, 25 and have never really been in a position to loose weight but have achieved 'good' levels of conditioning.
  21. Its an cyma M14. I just wouldn't know where to start (I think i've read your guide briefly). I've just never teched on guns. I've tried and run out of patience.
  22. After having researched a little bit on it in the last month I really do see the appeal. To me its the silence they operate with. The idea of HPA taping my m14 and turning it into a dmr appeals to me. Just a bit outlay on cost!
  23. All in all, I've probably had more 'negative' experiences with none HPA users since coming back then HPA users. You're very much correct, its about the person on the other end. Was just stating I hadn't met the stereotypical HPA user before.
  24. I stopped playing for around 5 years. Got back into it around March. HPA. HPA everywhere. Up until Sunday when I played Camp Sparta I had no issues with it, other then the occasionally pen-arse showing off there silly ROF while the marshal is doing the game brief. Thankfully, didn't happen to me but to my friend who is just getting into the hobby/sport/money-pit. Camp Sparta is a single shot site everywhere, but someone was hiding, proceeded just to let a flurry of around 7-10 shots off, all hitting the mark from no more then 10-15M away. I've been reading about the stereotype HPA w*nkers on here but was yet to fully see it in the flesh. Completely uncalled for, all into his back too.
  25. He's took down the ad now. Explained to him how ridiculous he was being
