  1. This. To quote Obi-Wan, "who's the the biggest fool, the fool or the fool who follows him?" Pretty sure you'd need to be dreaming or high to think £25 less than retail for a broken gun is a good price
  2. I think the produced under licence which has now expired is the most likely explanation. This wouldn't be the first time WE have parted ways with another company before slinging mud and creating silly drama on social media. Anyone else remember the WETTI/WE Europe spat? I guess a gbb one doesn't work in the cold and will only hold 2 pairs of socks and a t shirt
  3. So WE, a company which made it's name in airsoft by cloning other guns, is getting upset that someone's copying their product. Didn't Alanis Morissette sing about this in the 90's?
  4. No worries, my reply wasn't serious either. I know what you mean about the goontoobers and their bullshit clickbait videos, if I ran a site I'd seriously consider banning anyone who puts up those cheater exposed videos
  5. We all know why that is Sunday's trip down to Ambush started off badly as the gods of public transport were clearly in a bad mood that morning. One bus that was replacing a train was a no show and another train being 25 minutes late meant that I missed the first couple of games. Fortunately things did start to pick up and the rest of the day went well with some well fought games and no obvious cheating or people playing silly buggers. To top it off I also managed to get caught on film by the site photographer so that's always a bonus
  6. That sounds oddly specific. Are those words of experience?
  7. Beat me to it. I could yeet mine further than it fires
  8. I was thinking leave the mats hanging loose at the bottom to allow some movement, but the car mats sounds like a better idea. They'll take far more abuse before failing
  9. I'm guessing site owners and insurers wouldn't allow it due to the increased fire risk. Yes disposable pyro and BFGs can and have started small fires on sites, but when something sends sparks out over a bigger area that risk increases
  10. I would think you'd want the strips as wide as possible to absorb the impact with them moving as little as possible, especially if you're firing bursts
  11. Very nice, I've been looking at doing something similar, even down to using yoga mats for the backstop
  12. This is a common rule with halls of residence and as frustrating as it is, I can understand why it's done
  13. My girlfriend said she'd leave me if I didn't stop making bird puns Well toucan play that game
  14. I find that often the ones who cheat call the most are the ones who need a few extra shots to encourage them to call the hit.
  15. Claims only the Laylax shop have it in stock but 10 seconds on google shows patrol base also have it in stock for half what he wants
  16. I had the same problem my ICS MP5SD5. They never seemed to be held in place very tightly so I went through a couple of replacement sets in the 6 months or so I owned it. Mind you this was over 10 years ago and I don't know if they changed the design since
  17. Welcome back. As others have posted not much has changed since pre covid days What's the Honey Badger like? I've heard it's a pile of crap 😁 I can understand why sites have stuck with pre-booking as it makes setting up for the day a bit less stressful as sites have a clearer idea of the numbers so can plan games around it. I'm sure everyone's regular site has games which work really well with the right numbers, but go to shit if numbers are too high or low.
  18. As above. IIRC airsoft monkey is the tech Combat UK use so you won't need to take the poorly gun far
  19. There's also the grin factor. GBB pistols are way more fun to shoot. Do you find yourself in situations where a pistol is needed often, eg tight spaces where moving with a rifle is difficult? If not then you might find it more beneficial to carry something which will be more useful like a pouch with an extra mag (plus it'll be easier on the wallet). Let's face it, the majority of airsofter's pistols spent 99% of the game sat in a holster.
  20. Fixed. If its only fired 300 shots before shitting the bed then it needs to go back (assuming the OP hasn't done anything to void warranty, eg opening up the gearbox)
  21. What gets longer when you jerk it, fits between boobs, slides into a hole and loves to be pulled? A seatbelt you pervert
  22. That's what I heard although I don't know how true it is. Makes sense though Mind you, there is part of me that thinks if you're dumb enough to use airsoft parts on the pressure bearing bits of a real firearm then you deserve what you get
  23. I'm guessing 2 reasons. 1, he's delusional about how much it's worth. 2, lazyness as it would involve some effort
  24. Going by the scratches and black tape on the fore grip of the AK they must've been some rough 5/6 games
  25. Welcome Electric pistols tend to be more reliable than gas ones, especially in colder weather, but are usually underpowered compared to the gbb ones with them firing at 220 - 240fps.
