Welcome to the madness. There's different types of eye protection available and unfortunately it's one of those things where which type is "best" is down to personal preference. Personally I don't like mesh as not only does it cut down the amount of light getting to your eyes, but I found when looking down optics I would sometimes get a reflection in the glass of the sight messing up the sight picture even more. Another issue I've seen with mesh masks is that some of the cheaper masks are simply not safe with the mesh popping out of the mask after a few hits or even the mesh itself bending or breaking. To me it's not worth risking my eye sight for the sake of saving a few quid I use glasses treated with cat-crap (this stuff, so leave Tiddles' litter box alone https://www.amazon.co.uk/EK-Crap-Anti-fog-Treatment-Paste/dp/B003RLJ6UE/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=27A9YTWQA2TIK&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.bkx18YS-RG2MFcFDW6VKLe7UKLigP3-_gYO2Wgi-nB01sNlHUx2D9jgLKhrCsa-_oyRZs5_JbFMcaficu1-cT3q733OPEmqCcHAwCnSYCO4ZiUoLgRCEW_TVVp5rMuw5h5t-ezvaUID-JV4AvQ8WxXS3KjJCM0m6kx2e9MeXFFE.HmuqbAM-cSGylDSPrh4k2cte7FC_8QSt3BlsTYLMduE&dib_tag=se&keywords=cat+crap+anti+fog&qid=1719597381&sprefix=cat+crap%2Caps%2C556&sr=8-1 ). While it may look a bit on the expensive side compared to other anti fog treatments you only need to use a small amount and a tub will literally last years. Whatever you go for just make sure they're of the correct safety rating EN166 B. This is a good write up of the different types of eye protection for airsoft https://safetyprotectionglasses.com/2020/08/safety-glasses-for-airsoft/

Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread

If you're going to be a scamming twat then don't post your advert on the same site as you're stealing the pictures from The same photos as here -
Many older posts will have had the pictures deleted as the forum limits the number of pictures members can post so, as mentioned above, try going to the newer posts. Alternatively there's quite a few painted guns in the gun picture thread

I have a two tone airsoft rifle can I cover the blue without ukara?
Cannonfodder replied to ThomasH9's topic in UK Law
That would be fine as the tape is temporary, I'd recommend the self adhesive stuff as it won't leave a sticky residue when removed. Something like this https://www.military1st.co.uk/28301b-mfh-fabric-self-adhesive-camo-tape-5cm-x-4-5m-od-green.html?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwydSzBhBOEiwAj0XN4F76tE9X9PqYJAF1BRYZY-iqKCJ2CljeG7VIk4CILjWGaylylL3iqRoCumAQAvD_BwE Personally I wouldn't paint the parts as the blue will start to show though when the painted parts get dinged and scratched through normal use -

Welcome to the forum Nobody has a ukara licence, they don't exist. Now I've got that out of the way on to your question. By cover the blue do you mean temporarily while playing or permanently? The former is absolutely fine and can easily be done with a roll of sniper tape. If you mean permanently then IIRC it's technically illegal but if you can show you're using it for playing airsoft (at a proper site, not dicking about in a mate's garden) and don't do anything stupid with it you'll be fine -
Chemical Airsoft, Ashton-under-Lyne
Cannonfodder replied to DanBow's topic in Skirmish Sites, Stories & Reviews
I don't know about any of their other sites but when RIFT ran The Village near Royston it was policy that dry firing in the safezone would get you sent home. This might seem a bit harsh but IMO you can't be too careful when it comes to preventing injuries caused by negligence -
Getting to Black Site ftom London before games start on a sunday is possible. Granted it's cutting it close though as the train arrives 5 minutes before they shut the gates

Sounds like it was a good night overall apart from the last bit. This. It's one thing for a player to be dry firing in the safe zone, but for a member of staff to do it is worse as it sets a precedent for others to think it's ok and is a negligent discharge waiting to happen -
Edit: ignore me, I didn't read the post properly

Waco’s guide to field sustainment
Cannonfodder replied to The Waco Kid's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Depending on what it's going on I recommend either brown or chilli mayo -
The first things to try are making sure the barrel is clean and then try heavier ammo. It's surprising how much extra range you can get from simply using different weight bbs. If this doesn't work then my next step would be to swap out the hop rubber, I recommend a Maple Leaf macroon 50⁰. This is a cheap and easy job (even I managed it without a problem and I've got the tech skills of a drunken chimpanzee)

Job lot of all my guns and gear

Tbh you're probably going to have better luck breaking it up into several sales as larger bundles don't tend to sell as quickly, if at all. -

Another excellent addition to this guide. However I'd like to just make one little caveat. Try to avoid using camouflage kit for DofE or hiking in general. Yes you loose the tacticool look but if things go tits up then it'll be far easier for mountain rescue teams to find you if your rucksack (and other kit/clothing) is a bright colour -
Snow Wolf PPSH-41 not firing after 2 days of use

This. Maybe if more people were to exercise their consumer rights, rather than accept faulty goods and try to fix them at greater expense, then shops might actually be forced to up their game when it comes to customer service -

Yes. Infact I'd recommend trying different sites if you're lucky enough to have more than 1 locally.

If you mean tell ukara you're going to play at a on dates x,y, and z then no, just book the games with the site. Sites will keep records when you sign in (either paper or electronically) and some will use these while some will give you a separate sheet to be signed. It's best to ask on site No. I didn't have a site membership for a couple a couple of years till last week but I was still playing

Shotguns are fun, I use one in cqb, but you do need to adapt your playing style and, as already mentioned, the spring ones can be a lot stiffer to cock. Gas guns are far easier but those cost more. A second aeg is always a good idea for those times you fancy using something else, or if the first gun starts playing up.

Not quite right. You need a defence, being on the ukara database is just one such defence. It's certainly the easiest to use as it's accepted by the most shops but it certainly isn't the only defence
