  1. To add to this I wouldn't put much faith in reviews from shops. They're not going to tell you if it's shit when they want you to buy one. Good to hear
  2. This. Case in point, my GE gas shotgun. Performancewise it's pretty mediocre and I tend to do better with my pistol but it's still my go to primary for cqb. Why? Because it's so much fun to use
  3. Usually I'm not much of a fan of guns dripping with RIS rails but when a a quad rail fore grip plus a pair of rail covers for an M4 is only £12:50 it's hard to say no
  4. Because growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional
  5. From what I've heard it's the same guys running the place, just under a different name. I don't think they'll be closing any time soon as it's a popular site. Compared to other mid week games I've been to elsewhere they had far higher numbers (23 IIRC).
  6. I've only played there 3 times over the past 18 months as it's a bit of a trek for me but I definitely recommend a visit
  7. When I first started playing I used a hard gun case with a padlock. I quickly changed to a soft bag as I found the case attracted more attention
  8. If you mean just the gearbox, ie this then I can't see why not
  9. Yesterday took a trip to Incursion Airsoft at the Epsom tunnels and it was one of those days with ups and downs. Fortunately most of the negatives were nothing to do with the site as one was delayed trains and the second was that one of my post game cans of beer had a tiny hole in it so my plate carrier stank of Old Speckled Hen. Games were varied with almost perfect hit taking. Unfortunately one rental was a little reluctant to call hits but a word from marshals (and maybe a couple of extra shots) soon sorted that. The only other slight negative was that some of the gaps between games could've been a few minutes shorter but they didn't feel excessively long All in all I had a great evening and I'd certainly go back Guns used: GE 870 shotgun WE P99
  10. Not me. Like @Colin Allen the more I read the more I'm avoiding the mess of a site
  11. Tippman do a range where either the bottle is part of the stock or the buffer tube holds a couple of 12g co2 bulbs
  12. 10 seconds on Google shows this is bollocks This Ollie bloke sounds like a bit of a twat to be honest. Does he have anything to do with running the site or is he just a regular player?
  13. IF this did happen then why didn't the marshals step in? Stopping incidents like this is part of their job and if they witnessed it but did nothing then it's on them. As for the mortar, that's just a lawsuit waiting to happen. I just hope the owners see sense before it comes to that.
  14. This. To me a good measure of how well a site is run is how they act when things go wrong. The fact that the staff did fuck all to address any of the problems they were told about, and a lack of any real response to the review by the owners make me think once they've gotten your money they stop giving a shit
  15. ⁸Umm. Freshly signed up and their only post is to claim a negative review posted by a known and respected forum member is bullshit. I think I'll take what they post with a massive pinch of salt. I think this should be enough While vandalism of a site is never good it's no excuse for a poorly run site, hell my go to site has suffered from vandalism repeatedly (even worse is that it appears to be done by another nearby site) and they're still able to run a decent gameday.
  16. Thanks. Mine is this one with the valve in the end of the grip. If it's just a case of drilling a larger hole that won't be a problem @The_Lord_Poncho not yet, I've had to put it on hold till next month as I've had some stuff come up but I will update here when it gets done
  17. I've had some pistols with barrel extensions and I never used them as they ruined accuracy. I don't know if them being GBB rather than AEGs makes any difference but I guess not
  18. I looked into it for my well mp7. From what I read it's alot of work for little if any gains so not really worth it
  19. Gas rifles are expensive to get set up, with mags costing from around £40 to £50 a pop and only holding up to 50 bbs you'd need a few. Also with GBB guns you need to be far more proactive with maintenance. However they more than make up for this by being more fun. This lower capacity mags means you've got to pick your shots rather than dump rounds into every bush that moves so hits are far more satisfying. As @pyromancer6posted GBB pistols are a great way of getting into gas guns. They're also extremely useful in cqb or thick bushes at woodland sites where their small size is an advantage when moving through tight spaces.
  20. I've owned a few cyma guns over the years and the internals have all been great. Unfortunately the plastic bodies of the cheaper models can be a bit crap though but the platinum range are good.
  21. Welcome to the money pit that is airsoft😀 Nice to see someone going with something different to an M4. There's a reason they're called the airsoft clitoris (I'll let you work that one out) AK mags are easily available and some are metal if you're worried about plastic mags breaking. Are you wanting a rif with a metal or plastic body? Bear in mind that some of the better plastic bodies can be just as strong as the cheaper pot metal ones. Cyma make some good value AKs. If you want to spend a bit more I've heard good things about LCT guns (never owned one though). E&L guns are also not bad
