Its a tiny mark...you will get bigger ones so whats the big deal :)

Mine arrived today, a bit of heatshrink (can be shrunk or left as is). Put it over the rear part.

Use the torx tool to punch a hole. Take the heatshrink off and enlarge the hole slightly so the screw fits nicely. Heatshrink back on and tighten down. No excessive pressure on the catch and it will not scratch the upper receiver.

Not too obvious unless you look up close.

why didnt you shrink it too so its even less visible?

I just put mine on, sure its marked but who gives a toss..its a gun that will get smacked about. You making a showroom piece or a tool for a job? :)

Thank you, yeah had I known I would need to grind down the rail, I might of saved  a little more  🤣🤣😅.

Oh well, I do like the rail I got so it do for now and in a few months get longer version.

They are different rails too. Yours is a mk8 replica, HAO ones are the MK16 which is a lot more stable when mounted.

I was more talking about the tiny rail and a long range scope lol all kinds of frankengun going on. Keep doing you lol.

Fyi buddy, those anti rotation screws are supposed to be metal. Just use them, mark the body..it don't matter..its gonna get dings anyway.

Still on the plastic buffer after two years with no problems. With regards to upgrades if I could go back and tell my younger self I'd upgrade the hop nub (six g) the lightweight bolt catch and green gas mod the mags and save the money for externals as I've tried most 'upgrades' and found for me anyway that there a disappointment and had to spend money reverting to original parts and I now hit a crouching man size target at 60m at under 350fps.

listen for the ting of the hits - 2x sprayed joined metal plasterer's hawks targets 325x650mm in size shooting 0.30g Geoff's super natural bio bb's on a windless day.

You should be able to lift .46 with the brass nub and reach 70m. Worth trying.

Okay I got the rail on now but I had to file down area where the front take down pin makes contact and the area where the pin goes passed the anti rotation screw block or I could not connect the upper and lower together.

    IMG_20210515_172135148_HDR.thumb.jpg.f9955a5d589950c7b1dc049c63a0873b.jpg

Now I did try with my 7inch inner barrel but the fps was bit low with .25 from 200 to 236 FPS on 134a gas so i will wait till I get hpa so I can bump up the PSI aa little.

    830541534_IMG_20210515_1532595682.thumb.jpg.2e33b069d0293d41a62f4ccd391f26f4.jpg

So I added the stock inner barrel back and used extention barrel bit for now but I think the stock outer barrel would be shorter so I will change it again later.

I don't know if it's because I have brand new magazines but loading them with the m4 style speed loader feels impossible :(

The tube loader that comes with the gun is really good but I can't carry that around with me in field lol.

Are you using a genuine TM speed loader?

I have a nuprol one which is next to useless and my TM one works perfectly.

Any one have any experience with the Angry Gun Steel Bolt stop?

    https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/angry-gun-steel-cnc-bolt-stop-for-tokyo-marui-m4-mws-gbb---maritime-version

I have unfortunately broken my stock part (entirely my fault) and I can't find an OEM one in stock in the UK. I know Angry Gun parts can be hit and miss (with more misses than hits), but how badly can they screw up a bit of shaped metal provided they too the measurements from an original part?

If needs be I can fine tune it with a file I guess.

It's a difficult fit but goes in. I have one for sale in the classifieds if you want one.

I think we can all agree that Angry Gun QC is very hit and miss!

My clone Surefire suppressor from them is fantastic and I haven't had any issues with it, and works perfectly with my Acetech Lighter-S tracer unit.

The Milspec Buffer Tube also fitted without issue and definitely took the slop out of my Car-15 Stock.

However their Maritime Bolt Catch is utter garbage! I initially fitted it to my URGI-1 build as it's part of the Geissele package.

But with the bcg in the rearward position as soon as you press the mag release to put in a fresh one, it touches the bolt catch on the other side and throws the bcg forward... 😂

I had to use a dremmel and remove material from the underside so it no longer made contact...

Mate of mine just bought the l119a2 ambi mag release from them for his mws and it flat out doesn't work whatsoever, there's not enough material to hold the mag in place.

I mean look at their latest release, the A2 Outer barrels...

Who releases a product, that is not fit for purpose and then announces that with a post on Facebook and tells everyone how much material they need to remove with a file!?

To make their shitty product fit! 😳

    They are absolute shit lol.

I have had loads of AG parts, all but one of them have problems..they clearly test nothing! There is no other explanation for it.

Ag nozzle, weird full auto so removed.

Ag bolt (sf version) piston wouldn't fit, also spring retainer wouldn't go in without modding.

Ag outer barrel, hop issues when installed

Ag maritime bolt catch, sticks out about 3mm more than a real one, so you cannot wind the mag release enough to seat it properly. They even admitted to me they screwed it up!

Ag mag release, fell in half first use lol..pin just fell out!

Ag charging handle, roll pins just fall out

Ag lightweight bolt catch, needed heavy filing to move freely.

Ag urgi v2 rail, will not fit an mws without their adapter ring which only comes with their outer barrel set which causes hop problems! The v1 rail was fine and had a more durable finish.

Saying that, my flash hider is perfectly fine, even they would struggle to fuck that up.

They clearly make things based on pictures on the Internet, this is why everything is out of spec..then they clearly do not test finished products on a base mws but on modified ones made from their parts.

I hope they go out of business.

Taking inspiration from RMDavis's URGI build I bought a TM MWS M4A1 as a base for my own URGI build (was gonna get a CQBR but couldn't find one in stock). I have a Z-PARTS MARUI Mk16 DD GOV 10.3'' Steel Outer Barrel (MARUI-M4-030), Z-PARTS MARUI M4 URG-I Airborne Charging Handle (MARUI-M4-028) and a HAO MK16 M-Lok 9.3" handguard which I bought from from J.K.ARMY (as HAO isn't shipping to the UK right now), but they sent me the wrong barrel nut, so I'm gonna send that back.

I've decided to buy a Zparts MK16 handguard instead, and possibly get a HAO one directly from HAO at a later date if the Zparts one isn't very good. I was gonna buy the Z-PARTS MARUI Mk16 9.3" Handguard-DDC (MARUI-M4-012), but Zparts said that I needed the Z-PARTS MARUI Mk16 9.3" Handguard-DDC (FOR ZPARTS) (MARUI-M4-017). I guess it's because I'm using the Zparts outer barrel, which is different to the stock M4A1 outer barrel.

I'm fairly new to all this, so I wasn't sure if the Z-PARTS MARUI Mk16 9.3" Handguard-DDC (FOR ZPARTS) (MARUI-M4-017) would fit on a TM M4A1 upper receiver, or if it was just designed to fit on a Zparts MARUI M4 MWS Forged Receiver Set. So I asked them if they could confirm that the handguard would fit on a TM MWS M4A1 upper receiver.

I got two emails back from them, and in the first one they said that the handguard can theoretically fit on the TM M4A1, but they don't have an M4A1 to test.

And in the second email they said that their MARUI M4 MWS Forged Receiver Set is the same spec as "TM MWS M4", they also went onto say "So the rail and barrel can fit on as well. But we’re not sure is M4A1 same spec as M4. Please ask airsoft shop for further info.". I don't know what they mean by "M4". Perhaps they're referring to the TM MWS CQBR?

This really confused me, as I thought the receivers and internals of the TM MWS M4A1, CQBR, MK18 and the M4A1 Carbine are all the same and that the only differences between them are the handguards, barrels, stocks, and iron sights.

I decided to order that handguard today as that particular model seems quite hard to get hold of.

I'm just worried though that I may have completely screwed up and bought the wrong gun for a URGI build and that the handguard that I just ordered won't fit on my TM M4A1.

Hopefully someone can put my mind at rest. Are all the receivers and internals the same on the various models of the TM MWS? Do you think that the parts that I've bought will fit straight on my TM M4A1?

The z-parts urgi rail 100% fits the mws perfectly. Look at groots Post a page or so back. I installed it and it fits perfect.

  9. Hi all,

I have just put on a 14.5in outer barrel and want to get an inner to match. Any recommendations? and will it lower the power a bit putting a longer inner barrel in? as I am pushing it with the power even with an npas.

  10. What I was lead to believe is...

If you have first gen mags, you cut the pipe and no o-ring. That allowed a decent volume of green gas.

For gen2 mags, tm modified them to stop green gas being used due to power limits in Japan. You no longer need to cut the pipe but need o-rings to allow a fill.

  11. 23 minutes ago, TadsJ2 said:

Okay, I get the theory behind  TM valves, but it literally vents liquid green gas all around when i am trying to fill it with WE 2x or SMART GAS gg  and it is definitely not even close to being full then... With all stock and silent fill mod i also get to shoot ~85 shots which is 2,5 magazine, so you are suggesting me not to modify anything and spit liquid green gas? I've read here in this thread that someone changed the inlet valves to Laylax inlet valves and it solved their similar problems... Could you tell me what manufacturer's green gas are u using to fill your MWS mags and maybe someone could make a video how does the refill look like , maybe its the same for me as for you and I am searching for problems which isnt really the problem :D

Also how does one take the o-ring off when its already applied? :D

I had the same. Some cans of gas just vent when filling. I wasted over half a can just filling mags. I fitted silent fill o-rings and now I waste no gas and its still pretty consistent on all 6 mags.

  12. Offset mount arrived at last. Waiting on a 1.93 mount for the vortex in black and a 13.5 urgi rail. Decided to go long lol..

So if anyone is after a 9.7 geiselle rail it will be up for sale shortly.

It sits too low and I have realised the piece of material I thought I should file will just end up meaning that it will slip back down overtime

There is no way that is slipping back down over time. Mine has not moved since.

I think if they did an actualy IUR for airsoft I'd probably be more interested to get one, but I'm not into the faux rail offerings I've seen so far.  I heard Archwick were thinking of CNC'ing a solid billet integrated upper receiver, but I'm not sure if they'd do an MWS version.  HAO might do one for the MWS?  I also heard an unobtainium RS version will fit the GHK M4?

HAO already did one and its available for sale now

So plan B then; if I wanted to fit the angrygun handguard below am I correct in thinking I need either the PTS adapter ring / a mil-spec outer barrel?

    Handguard: https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/angrygun-mk16-m-lok-rail-93-inch---gen-2-version-desert-dirt-color

    Adapter: https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/pts-adapter-ring-for-marui-m4-mws-gbb

    Outer barrel: https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/angry-gun-milspec-outer-barrel-set-marui-m4-gbb-mws-2018-version

with the V2 angry gun rail the PTS ring will not fit. I tried and failed. they have changed the profile of the inside of the barrel nut. the v1 rail fitted fine.

you will need the mil spec AG outer barrel set which comes with an adapter. the guy I spoke to at AG said it will be included in the future with the rails...but that was just BS to get me to leave him alone.

They are the worst! I would personally just wait and get the HAO.

  16. If you wanna make your MWS suuuper heavy, go get yourself a Vortex! Christ it adds a chunk..I need to start doing pull ups!

I HATE the tan (rose gold) mount so have another on the way and an arisaka offset to mount my t1...then I am done! maybe...kinda...ish.

AG do make great suppressors (I have one) but of course you need to use their flashider which actually is pretty decent.

Same, I have one. the fit to their flash hiders is a little loose but workable.

But you're still missing outer barrel, hop chamber, dust cover etc. Also I've see Angrygun have a new gen 2 of their MK16 (which honestly looked horrific before) and it seems promising!

Edit: now I think about it, taxes would kind of suck... I think international shipping is free with orders over $150 though so that's not a problem. It's probably not even worth trying to build an upper and instead pick up a boneyard MWS but they're so rare 😔

dont do it. the Angry gun MK2 rail is dogshit. they have changed the barrel nut so it only works with Angry gun spacers which you can only get with their outer barrel kits and do not include the spacer (they claim they will in future when I complained) The finish is crap, it scratches super easily. the bolts are still wobbly . I mean, it looks OK...but HAO is cheaper and waaaaaaaaay better!

Both good points guys. I just needed it for a game in December so it was easier to shove the Marui BCG back in.

I will have a look at it next week, I’ve recently got my hands on a Angry Gun high speed buffer, so that’s something else to mess with. I love tuning this gun, it’s much more rewarding than an AEG in that department.

I got an AG high speed bolt...returned it. Junk like most AG parts. TM Piston wouldnt fit without modding as the body was too tight. AG piston was also tight but not as bad as the TM one. The key (the bit that holds the piston in the BC) wouldnt fit without modding.

AG only test their parts with their parts. They do not check against stock parts. I have bought soooo many AG parts in the last few months. Only the flash hiders are any good, the rest (bolt release, mag catch, bolt catch, bolt etc etc) are all shite in different ways.

I managed to get a RS Magpul QD plate to fit on my MWS with no mods.

The only issue is that it is slightly larger than the TM buffer tube so it rotates slightly as you tighten it up.

Just requires patience turning it in the right place to set it in the right position.

Here's an older photo of my URGI build that shows it fitted.

Works perfectly with Ferro Concepts QD loops. 👍

    20200919_133827.jpg

i got the same one. A little bit of dremel work on the inside and it fits perfect and holds the buffer tube properly.
