I've been looking at them but was concerned about the BB capacity. The Tapp was is 1500 but will I ever need that much in 1 game?
-
I've seen Mustang has just been sent one as well so look forward to his review!

Looks like Runcam have just released a Scopecam 2! https://shop.runcam.com/runcam-scope-cam-2/ Full metal, water resistant and a 4 hour battery life! Glad my PayPal went wrong and I didn't buy the lite now.

It's all @Steveocee's fault! 2 Hadron H keys ordered, along with an Autobot 50 for my "pistol" and a Decepticon 50 for my "cqb pistol with stock".
-
@Steveocee You've gone in two footed now haven't you!!
-
I'm running both of mine totally standard. I do intend on getting a couple Autobot 50/60's to have just incase I want to tinker. I've only used one as a side arm when my M.E.D got breached, but hopefully after we can play again I'll use one as a primary. There's a new CQB site opening up in Sinfin, so I'll get test it out there at some point!

Leadly's Mtw Build Thread - a Dive Head First Into HPA
leadly replied to leadly's topic in High Pressure Air
Fixed it! The phoenix hop unit has a collar inside it that adjusts bucking lip tension. This collar had jammed forward, making it incredibly difficult to poke a BB through the bucking. So after a strip down and rebuild, I adjusted the tension and got a nice steady FPS with only 2-3 FPS variance. No jumps in FPS and no need to double tap! Very happy! Game on!! -

I'd like to assume (I know, I know) that's it's not the mags as it does it with both my MTW mags and both my cheap nuprol ones. The FCU has all of the settings. Dwell, Rate of fire, semi / fire selection I'm going to have a gander at the lip tension and try to re-adjust. After that I'll max the dwell out and see if it's gone away then adjust to suit. -
Leadly's Mtw Build Thread - a Dive Head First Into HPA

Managed to have a play around with the MTW again over the past few days. I've had a few issues: ° The need to double tap to get it to fire a BB every 5 - 7 shots ° Inconsistent FPS °Irratic 20FPS jump up then down again Stripped the engine and gave it a clean. It was pretty grubby to be fair. Re-lubed with some Zues Juice. Tested again and the 20FPS jump has gone but I'm still left with a double tap needed every now and then and a variance of about 10 FPS. So as suggested in the MTW discord I've got to have a play about with the lip tension of the phoenix hop. That's my job tonight with a lovely can of ale! -
I've been watching quite a few videos myself. It does look like you can get a bit more out of the quality from the scope cams when editing. A YouTuber called AKAStaten did a comparison of 2 Runcam Scopecams which had some useful info. Apparently he makes music videos and things like that for a living and his own videos are all very well put together so his opinion floats with me. For the money he advised on getting the Runcam lite. Which is the way in swaying at the moment.

Yes I think I read your thread all about it. Does your SJ cam capture a BB's flight path at a decent range? I expect to be engaging the baddies from around 50m + with my VSR and MTW.

I wasn't too sure about using eBay to get one as I've read about folk selling inferior Chinese knock offs.

Well that made the back end of this night shift pass a bit quicker.... Might try and find a way to Incorporate "checks and balances" into my handover for the morning shift! Either that or "narwhal tusk"!

Hello all. I'd like to start recording some airsoft footage, should we get to play anytime ever. I've got a cheap SJ cam from some years ago that I may run on a head strap just to capture footage of me and my friends but I wanted a scope cam to capture the actual BB flight path. I play sniper bushman so mid to long range is what I'll be shooting at! The obvious choice is one of the Runcam scopecams. Silo is selling the lite version with a weather cover for £89 which seems pretty reasonable. I'm not intending on becoming a YouTube sensation. I'll most likely just upload some of the most savage and most brutally brutal savage head shots onto Instagram to share with my friends. Budget is around £100 for the camera plus an extra £30 for "bits". I'm aware I'll need either extra batteries and a power bank, which I do currently own (I just need to find it). So, any recommendations? Cheers, Rich

I started a thread for my MTW, it involves some of my ramblings and reasoning behind why I chose what I did.... eventually!! I'll put a bit more content into it now I've got my VSR finished again.

My mates got a couple at his shop! https://www.ukfob.co.uk/index.php?route=product/category&path=119_158

Yeah I can feel myself getting annoyed just at the thought of reading what has been said. So wound up that I wrote a big rant.....and then deleted it. Unlike some people on Facebook and other platforms don't realise, just because you have an opinion, dosn't mean you need to share it with everyone!

Well, it was a lot of pissing about during a planned late night "tech session" as I'm on nights tomorrow / today (Saturday), but after installing 6 power up washers and replacing the hop rubber (Autobot 60°) I now have..... **Drum roll please** My limit was 329.7 FPS with 0.46g so I'm as close as I'm willing to get. Obviously it'll drop a bit once the bucking has bedded in. It turns out my air seal was perfect all along, the only issue I have is that the barrel I've got sits behind a thread adapter for the supressor. So when the gun is built up I can get my thumb properly over the end to create a good seal. A celebratory rummage in the chocolate tin is in order now I think! And yes that is a baby milk powder tub I've got my chrono housed in! I'm aware my hop will need sorting again but I'm hopeful I've got as much out of it as possible. Until next time!!!

Now I would absolutely love to see someone rock up in an MDF / Tiger Stripe mash up!!! I get where the OP's question is coming from. I frequent outdoor sites dressed head to toe in leaves, bush and hours of crafting so having perhaps a dedicated CQB "outfit" might be of some use. I've settled with some black boots, Polish woodland trousers as I already owned them and a black hoody. My chest rig is heavily crafted but I can remove all that as it's done in sections with Velcro attached. I do like buying new things though and there is a new CQB site opening up near me soon. A 20 minute drive in my classic mini is a lot nicer than the usual 45min to an hour + for my usual sites.

From my experience, unless someone told me they were currently serving or had served I'd probably not know. Everyone, runs off one way and I skip off in another dressed like a fucking bush! My mates ex army and he finds it cringe to wear his old issued smock. But each to their own. General consensus seems to be, you can be in the SAS or be a dentist, it doesn't matter as long as your not a dick!

My 2nd pistol arrived a few days ago! The camo pens have been out!! I'm pretty chuffed with how it came out, time will tell how well it lasts!

https://www.bespokeairsoft.co.uk/ctm-holster-for-action-army-aap01-pistol-lightweight-nylon-tan-ctm-aph-de That seems to be very popular! I've got one of these, but you'd not get a flash light on as well I don't think. https://www.skirmshop.co.uk/universal-tactical-holster.html

Hey guys, I keep on seeing people on Facebook and Instagram selling 3D printed short stroke kits. Some sell just the spacers, one website sold the spacers with different rated springs. Is it wise to change anything else when short stroking other than just pop in the spacers? It's not something I'm dead certain on doing, just curious really as to any negative effects, excessive wear etc. Cheers

Finished work early so went into the garage like the good husband I am instead of waking the family up at 5am! I managed to get my hop set up about right when I last played. Just chrono'd it and it's sitting 295 - 300 FPS on 0.46g and around 1.9j so I've got a bit to play with. I'm not happy with my air seal so my plan of action is to get that as best I can, might even break out the dental floss. I've marked the hop wheel so I can reset my hop to where it was and then see if I can get as close to 327 FPS which is the limit for 0.46g. To do this I've got some power up washers and a sorbo pad to fit to the piston. On a side note my mates bought a cheap cyma VSR10 so I'm quite looking forward to sharing what I've learnt with him!
