  1. I've purchased another AAP-01. This time in tan to make slapping some camo pen on it a little easier.
  2. Airsoftworld have just added loads of the two colour pistols. Just picked up a 2nd to camo pen up!!!! So I'll be sticking an Autobot in and using that as my "oh shit" pistol when sniping. Then my black one will have the stock fitted and my 3D printed supressor / maybe a tracer. This will be my running around fun gun, with extended HPA tapped mags inside it!!
  3. I've heard the fire selector is very poorly made. There's issues with screw alignment and holes not being tapped out very well. Someone on the Facebook group said they were on their 3rd one as they keep breaking. I nearly got one myself but decided against it after reading what I had. Plus they don't work with the stock on so that seemed a shame!
  4. Sounds like I'll be holding off buying a run can then....anyone's magically get any better?
  5. Unfortunately my dreams were shattered! 😂 I had grand plans of running a semi only MTW with no M.E.D......but it wasn't to be. 80 P.S.I is the minimum operating pressure for the Reaper engine, which put me around 365 FPS. The above, plus issues with the reaper engine not resetting sometimes for upto 5 seconds I took it back to Paul. He kindly let me borrow a Forged / Inferno to try out. Took it to Skirmish in Nottingham for a day. It started off well enough, then the issues began. The first problem probably being my own fault and not having the dwell or anything set correctly. I'm new to HPA and MTW'S so I had no clue. The 2nd was it became increasingly difficult to engage safe and actually started firing by itself. Resulting in me shooting my mate in the leg. Went back to Paul, found the trigger pull had adjusted itself to pretty much "engage semi and the it will just fire by itself" so re adjusted that played about with the dwell and got it hitting trees at 65m. This is the part where I became a bit of a pain in the arse. The bad experience put me off so I took home another Milspec / Reaper M. 2 days went by and I went back and swapped it for the inferno! Paul again was fantastic and very understanding that my lack of knowledge was probably putting me off the better choice. And here we are..... The above with an ASG Strike Short dot and QD KAC supressor And then I spent £15 on a Lee's Precision Engineering adapter so I can fit my MK23 Silverback supressor. Resulting in this... Honestly, it's ridiculous how quiet it is now with that on! I'll do a comparison video soon! Oh and I also got a 3litre dive tank. Not the biggest I know but I only live 2 miles from Go-Dive who are still open. I wanted something I can easily carry and fit in my classic mini!
  6. Quite edit because that was a bit long winded. Basically, I got a HPA starter kit from my mate Paul at http://www.ukfob.co.uk stuck some taps into my MK23 and AAP-01 mags and off I went. Paul ordered 7 of the new forged / Milspec MTW's. I took home a 10" Milspec with some heavy discount attached!
  7. I've been meaning to put together a build / life with an MTW thread for a while now but have never gotten round to it. So let this be the first step of many. I'll try to detail as best I can the general faffing and me being a bit of a pain in the arse (more on this later). Why I chose to spunk a wedge on HPA stuff and just general thread that might perhaps help others decide if this is the path for them! More at some point soon (probably when the kids have gone to bed), I'm typing this now while I'm supposed to be tidying up play-doh!
  8. My Lee's precision engineering adapter came today so I can fit my MK23 silverback supressor to my MTW!! I'm quite pleased with how it looks! A bit different to the KAC one I've been using! That can be my CQB one 😂
  9. What Steve said! Sort of gutted I sold my ARP9 as it was such a fun little gun, especially with the drum mag!!
  10. Go dive are open to fill by appointment if you have one near by! Ah, think it might just be a Derby shop!
  11. Thanks for the reply. So I'm better off topping up the tank that connects to my RIF little and often, makes sense to me! The reason I asked was just to make sure the 3litre tank will be sufficient to last me long enough for a decent "setting up" session and a couple of top ups on a game day. I live about 2 miles from my local go dive so getting a refill isn't an issue. Portability and space saving is higher on my list than overall capacity as I will only be using the gun in anger at most, once a month.......which will probably be even less once my wifes maternity leave finishes in March!
  12. I've scrolled through all the topics in here but can't find any info.....however it is late and I am tired, apologies if this has been asked before... I've ordered, but not yet collected a 3litre scuba tank from Go Dive, how many times would that likely fill my 48ci tank? Cheers Rich
  13. Any idea how heavy the scuba tank is? Go-dive have go 20ish % off most things including tanks at the moment! It's payday on Friday and I did a lot overtime!!!
  14. Either sell the tan one to me or run one as a pistol and one with the stock etc. I'd obviously prefer it if you sold me the tan one! It'd get a lovely camo pen job and my black one can keep its stock on full time.
  15. I've just ventured into HPA and I'm sure I was running my AAP-01 and MK23 at 60 P.S.I which got an average of 300fps on 0.2's. It's all trial and error I guess.
  16. I suppose you could just chuck everyone a cheap spring shotgun and just go for it!
  17. It would be interesting to see how a game would pan out if everyone had exactly the same stock RIF. I know not all guns turn out the same, even from factory but if you could guarantee a certain standard and left it to individuals to adjust the hop. I imagine you'd see plenty of people stood at 60m emptying mags at eachother without hits landing.
  18. A few of my mates are guilty of either sqwarking "take you hit" or heading back to the safe zone early in a strop because of none hit taking. It didn't take long for me to realise that this was a regular occurrence. Makes me want to buy a range finder just so I can call them out!
  19. The first time I played a Leicester Gaol, pretty much a CQB site, I couldn't help but be lured into a bush with my ARP9 and drum mag. I was holding off the other team quite well when I noticed a marshall stood 10ft away from me. I thought I was being accused of cheating, but he was actually staying there for my benefit to stop the other team claiming they hit me when the bush was eating all the bb's up! Puts a smile on my face to see BB's falling short, especially a few mags worth when I've been spotted lurking with my VSR!
  20. I know I shouldn't like it but.......
  21. All of the TDM got a bit boring for me at the last site I went to. The marshalling was a bit lack luster in the fact that they just seem to stand about and watch. From the other sites I've been to they have been full of encouragement and really helped push the pace of the game. I probably wouldn't go back either as some parts had clearly been left to ruin for quite some time and no effort was going to be made to repair them. But enough moaning.... More in depth game modes would be nice, capture this, push back to here, defend X amount of time before pushing forward. Giving the players more of a choice in the direction of the gameplay rather than just kill the baddies until they have no lives left and then swap sides.
  22. My most recent purchase! A Wolverine MTW 10" Forged edition. After a bit of swapping about between this and the Milspec, I opted for this in the end. Will make a build thread at some point!
  23. I've message my lot to see if they fancy it. Will let you know once I get a reply.
