I saw a video review by Airsoft Mike of some posh BB catcher which was essentially a big plastic box with spare targets (loads as a matter of fact) and the bbs were caught by some dreadlock style rope things dangling in it. I’ve got the said TM RMR site myself. It’s ok for what it is I guess. It’s the only non RS site I have as a matter of fact. It seems to work fine on a standard pistol but to be honest I don’t use my pistols much as I’m mainly woodland and it’s there as a last resort when a target is within the MED.

Talking of science..... check this out... on my quest to see what bb is favoured for blasting a watermelon I've just come across this... it's a salt thingybob 'shotgun'.. I mean who actually buys this stuff? And it's like £50!! I mean it's 2 tone... so no UKARA defence will be needed I guess?

Now that is really taking things a step too far.... in fact that's crossing the line... asking someone to try Nurprol bb's in their gat... #shockingsir

Ahhh yes I saw that video... what a waste of a good melon... Although it's got me thinking.... maybe I'll do an educational video along the lines of which brand of bb's is preferable to explode a melon...do you think I'm onto something here? All those clicks and thumbs up?

I find melons fascinating, they come in different sizes too which is handy! The true test of a good melon is if you can get your teeth into it and bite off a decent watery chunk.... Back too the topic of BB's Has anyone used a melon as a BB target? I reckon it will make a great BB catcher too.... wait wasn't that a different thread on here?

I'll give you the mango juice..... I'm also partial to some melons too come to think of it.... But like BB's it's got to be quality fruit (see what I did there?)..

I was gonna say exactly the same. Phone Fire Support and speak to them. Tell them what’s happened and ask if they can fix it. They are a nice bunch of guys and they will sort it out. The MWS is quite robust and this behaviour is unusual. Hell you can power it up to 450 FPS if you want to and it will still work albeit wear a few components out more quickly. But the point is take a step back. Send it back to Frank and let his tech guy sort it.

Crikey fella! Did you eat too much spinach or something? Sadly TM will not cover that. In fact you can seldom make a warranty claim as the RIF would only be covered by the retailer if it was indeed a manufacturing error. Luckily I believe someone is selling a lower receiver in the classifieds on here. I suggest grabbing it if it’s available.

Crikey! that's bonkers... I've never known anything like that.... My case was that I had a Nuprol BB jam as one shattered with the force of the bolt and then I ended up with a BB train which culminated in a puff of gas (quite dramatic as a matter of fact). I had bb's stuck in the hop unit in fact all over the place.. But that failure was solely due to the Nuprol BB's and me constantly trying to recycle the bolt not knowing what the heck I was doing at the time... . For all intents and purposes as Dave has mentioned the MWS is really a refined lady when it comes to GBBR's. Like all things it has it's niggles but generally it's bullet proof in that respect. It's also a learning curve like many people on this forum have found me included. Lube all the parts that need lubing.... look at the maintenance guide which Dave posted a few pages back.... and try Abbey Predator gas the one in the green can for when the temp is over 22c and red can when under 22c... It works very well.

How did the mag explode? What happened there?

Age is no limitation I’ve found it’s just a level of fitness. If you can walk or trot or gallop carrying a 3 kg weight for a few hrs you’ll be super fine. We have plenty of players at my site who are in their 50’s some even in the 60’s and most carry normal AEG’s. You don’t have to take up a DMR. Just get stuck in and you’ll soon see what game style suits you.

Well most people know my story about my nozzle. But for those new folk on here mine buggered up big Roger style only because I stupidly used Nuprol bbs which shattered in the chamber and then there was a train wreck of bbs which ended up distorting the lip of the nozzle. Long story short I bought an AG npas nozzle which if I’m being honest I can’t fault. However I’m back to using my TM nozzles and so far so good.

You can try the HK retailers too. Just google MWS parts and you will see a few pop up. Use the Marui part number as your search. Don’t laugh but bang bang airsoft is another HK retailer that has a good load of MWS gear. Like @C-Diddy impulse101 is my go to for MWS parts.

I've found it depends on the platform I'm using.... but I rotate between Geoffs, G&G's and ASG Blasters... Oh I wouldn't touch Nurpol bb's with a barge pole...

Blimey! That's bonkers I've a 129mm Crazy Jet with 50deg Flamingo in mine and I've never done a chrono on it... BTW which gas did you use for this test and what temp was it if you could recall?

I’m just wondering how many o rings the MWS has again? Excluding the ones in the mag. From memory i believe there are two right? One around the hop unit. One in the bcg which sometimes gets stuck in the back of the bolt. There may be some (2) associated with the inner barrel (muzzle hider) and one towards the hop chamber but I can’t recall as it’s been months since I took the barrel out.
