Interesting post with some very well written out information. This sort of post is always useful for getting people to think about what they’re doing when approaching a certain situation. It’s not always obvious. Its yet another demonstration of how unaware and uneducated security agencies can be when it comes to airsoft. I don’t think I’ll ever be in a situation where I need to be carrying anything gun or replica related through security of any kind but when I do travel the golden rule regarding where I pack any shit I’m not sure of is ‘if there is any doubt then there’s no doubt’ and in that hold luggage it goes. Again you just don’t know who you’re going to get manning that scanner belt, especially it seems in the UK, where at least half of the staff on the security line seem to be mouth breathing automaton fools. You do get good people sometimes but that ain’t a guarantee. The discussions I’ve had with people about things as innocent as a camera would make you break a rib laughing. Heed the advice given by the OP and err on the side of caution….

As someone who has had pages on just giving for runs that I do for hospices and cancer etc I find this a massive fucking pisstake. Not forgetting all the other genuine fundraisers on there that really make a difference. I’m in two minds whether to message the guy but I guess it’ll go in one ear and out the other.

Probably one for admins…. I keep on receiving emails like the one below for adverts that have been completed (and marked as such with the giant orange banner) there’s no duplicate message in the forum inbox as there seemed to be with other buyers and the typeface of the message seems different to the others too. Is this a scam attempt or are people not understanding how the classifieds work? Stinks to high heaven of scam to me….

All I can say with regards to ‘prevent’, schools or social workers is that they seem to have a wonderful ability to pick on completely innocent parties meanwhile the actual genuine cases of concern slip by and often go on to commit crimes. When their incompetence comes to the surface we’re met with all the usual hand wringing and excuse making and a limp, wet boiler plate response telling us how thyre ‘committed’ to the highest standards. This sounds like business as usual, innocent parties being incorrectly hounded.

So he mouthed off big time about how he was a good seller then sent a damaged rif to a buyer? Oh dear. He’s looking great now isn’t he? Glad he refunded.

Each to their own but to me these type of guns will always be known as ‘speedwanker guns’.

Being fat and slow I sweat and steam up terribly, least that is until I made a novritsch antifog unit compatible with the ess ice glasses I have, works a treat and I haven’t fogged up again since. I get the impression that it’s different strokes for different folks and this is very much a case of finding something that works for you, saying that I’d second the novritsch stuff now as it just seems to work.
