  1. You're not moaning again, are you ?
  2. That definitely reads like an A.I description of the campaign.
  3. I built a Gen4 with Guarder slide about 18 months ago and it was an absolute pain. Nothing seemed to fit correctly. I even contacted Guarder directly and they admitted that their dummy ejector was the wrong size or shape for their slide! (to their credit, they sent me a correct one) Despite my best efforts, the slide sat weirdly on the frame. However the one I built the other week couldn't have gone smoother and it runs like a dream on the stock recoil spring.
  4. I'm guilty of this as have recently built a 100% Gen4 Glock 17 Guarder upper. However seeing as you only use your pistols to plink, is there any real reason to replace a part, just in case it breaks and you have to replace it? Surely it would make sense to worry about it if/when it happens?
  5. Negative Airsoft showed his method rejuvenating mag o-rings in one of his videos and it honestly works in 99% of the cases I've tried it for. Especially when the mag isn't ancient, like here.
  6. I'm yet to find an airsoft shop with decent parking, does anyone know of one?
  7. OK say we're talking standard GBBP's as supposed to highly upgraded EmKay-23's.... Do you really want to load your pistol mags up with 0.32+, to just unload them at the end of the day when it turns out you had little to no use for your pistol (like most woodland players). Additionally in those rare moments room breaching or whatever else may call for a Handgun Hero, you're likely shooting at centre mass from 5 - 15m. Where exactly does the need for "range and accuracy" come into it? In fact when I was at South Coast CQB, I noticed heavier and slower BB's just gave that extra bit of time for the "enemy" to dive behind the ample cover. Don't forget these Tokyo Marui pistols we all readily recommend, were designed to be used with 0.20's. That being said, my pick would be 0.25 or 0.28's as the latter is my chosen weight for AEG's.
  8. Obviously it's way too young for someone to go, but does anyone know how old he is?
  9. Ahhh of course, well spotted!
  10. Is it this one? https://shop.jkarmy.com/emg-dd1102-hs.html
  11. Ahh that is terrible news indeed. As someone who doesn't use GBBR's, I wasn't interested in everything he did but still appreciated that unlike most airsoft Youtubers, he offered detailed analysis and didn't shill for free stuff. I haven't watched the video (I can't atm) but if it is terminal, I wish him as pain-free a journey as possible.
  12. Some bloke sold me a Casio keyboard at a Bootsale in 1998. They'd left old batteries in, which had leaked and corroded the contacts. How do I report this individual please?
  13. The mags disassemble through pins, which I think is a step backwards. The slide is apparently a new material, which should be good. I read that the mags were improved because of the diecast material, but they said that about the Gen.4 as well. Also it seems to have the same 15mm BBU as the Gen.4, although presumably a different shape. Don't forget it also depends if you like finger groves on your grip or not. As a RIF I think it's cool if it's from a film, show or game you really like. I'm not sure what the Gen.5 17 has been featured in yet? I will also add it depends on what you want to do with it. I've just done a full FDE Gen.4 build with 100% Guarder upper, it's beautiful and works very well. They're working on it as we speak, but it'll be a while before Guarder parts are readily available.
  14. The stock one is decent and fits perfectly with the stock hop unit and rubber. If you want to upgrade for upgradings sake, the stalker stuff looks high-end... https://www.skirmshop.co.uk/morpheus-dual-bore-aap-01-barrel-129mm.html
  15. "punchy" based on what? Just sound?
  16. They're one of the most popular and long-standing brands, so it's only natural that you see more of them being sold and bought. Also as has been mentioned, airsofters are fickle, someone will pile a load of money into a build, still feel unfulfilled and sell it to justify moving onto the next one.
  17. How has this turned into a two page thread ?
  18. If you're covering it in silicone spray, that may be the issue ?
  19. Personally I think Vorsk/Raven/WE/Armorer Works 1911 hop units are just nigh-on useless. Is this just for the look or do you want to do some serious skirmishing with it?
  20. I love the look of the AA-12, but had an awful time trying to use it in a woodland game. Range wasn't competitive and I found it too cumbersome to effectively push up with. The continuous drum mag electric winding sound just made the whole experience a bit more tragic, haha.
  21. What are the inconsistencies you speak of? FPS? You'll see similar with CO2 and the mags will cause you issues sooner rather than later.
  22. I second this, TM MP7 GBBR Mag. Clean it up and it might be worth £20 posted to someone.
  23. @Tackle - I think we're talking about different situations. I mean when someone who doesn't have a pet says "I can't afford £150 to buy a cat. Can anyone give me one for free?" You seem to be referring to caring pet owners, running in to unexpected difficulties? I of course wouldn't look down on the latter.
  24. At least it's an inanimate object. I've seen people online begging for free pets, because they apparently don't have any money. I would like to chalk up the majority to kids just dreaming, but unfortunately have seen cases where adults willing take on a cat they can't afford any medical treatment for.
  25. AAP's are really easy to disassemble, especially the upper. You mention the iron sights and ejection port being areas of concern. If you remove the upper and then take the allen screws out of the rear iron sight, the bolt will come out. Four more allen screws and you've separated the upper from the barrel and removed the hop unit and inner barrel entirely. When it comes to the lower, getting the trigger and bolt release spring in place can be a bit fiddly if you've never done it before, but that's what I'd do.
