Realistically mine is Red Alert 6 at Eversly as part of a film sim weekend. I wish I could commit to more but... you know, life My load out will be Para/Pathfinder 85 so I get away with a Sig226 as sidearm, use tm mc51 as main (I know not an "issued" toy but it did do some field tests) and I get to do all of that in the most excellent heavy canvas known to man 'Pattern 58' in a 68 smock.

Found myself in a similar position, but from the perspective of an airsoftera already. There are a number of sites (London ish) that will allow a kid of 10 to play Driver wood Crawley is one and Mayhem is another. Both of these sites have decent hire guns. A couple of other sites were "as long as they take their hits" - this gets a special mention as they have a solid crono process. it is a calculated risk - you cant control the other players but going to a decent site with a great rep is what matters here. Full face - I used this https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/empire-vforce-armor-mask-gen-3 to cover his face And I picked him up a Firehawk (short barreled m4 style) 2nd hand from this forum - mp5's can have a fiddly battery storage. Oh and decent shoes! The first couple of games I did stick with him (at driverwood) but then he was off! There are calculated risks, and as many have said above, they are manageable. At home everything is kept separate and the first rules are enforced (only under supervision and eye pro always). Have fun and dive in!

I had mixed feelings for it, had a couple of really good days and a couple of meh days there. But importantly I could take the bus to get there and also take the kid. The Falkham site is not travel friendly so looking around So now having looked around at Dropzone, where do they publish game days?

I spent my Sunday shooting at Red Alert for their SantaSoft. Took the kid as well, who got given a tiny smock from his uncle, so he was toasty all day, stack up provided the balaclava, so he looked mini para. The games! First was a variation on swarm/zombie: shoot someone-medic them and they are now on your team. This led to many roving groups, getting into lots of fire fights, and some where you just find yourself in a larger group and become the steamroller. It was amusing getting to the town, as it turns out, Yorkshire Puddings split at some point and rolled up the whole site from two different angles. Good warm up. The kid used his Firehawk, and loves it, need to load him up with three hi-caps next time.... I used, well tried to us the TM mc51....I am now having selector and trigger issues, oh and the fps is still really low, so a new shell and lots of internals from santa in the new year! Instead I used my sig226, and wow, gas is shit in winter! Safe zone for quickish mag up and the mc51 works when testing, so I go back out with it for Santa Slaighs...Santas start near the fort, have to clear town and collect presents the Slaigh then gets escorted up the hill, again lots of fun. The lad managed to get a great angle into town and essentially held the whole flank for a long time. Should have grabbed a spare whilst I0 had the chance! In the end I did go back half way through that game and switch for my brothers VSR, first time with a long gun that works well and oh my, what fun. so used that for most of the rest of the day.

Airsoft hub, like used airsoft is also pretty prime Mack's ammo. Fairly sure @Galvatron isnt actually in the market for anything, they just like finding the juicist, most questionable sales posts. im in a similar boat, i have tried to use it, got no reponse so i just left it alone.

Many smaller patrols as both nato and warpac went down to 12 and 15 each essentially 2 sections each. Echo 1 spent the morning hunting Russian engineers and had a couple of solid fire fights where medics came I to thier own. We also went and held a couple of spots for Charlie 1 to come a blow. It was one of these that we got the call to rtb as warpac were attacking and seen near our hq. We did not hustle and got caught with our pants down. Warpac managed to get is lined up under smoke covered the initial shots amd gunned us all down!

A proclaimed poor softer/bargain hunter here and I'd give my right nut for an SLR...but then cold War games will do that to a nato player, especially the mighty fine examples there were last weekend.

Genuinely had so much fun this weekend, the social at the corporals club was very entertaining. Some excellent firefights Hq not taking it too seriously, there was a little of hurry up and wait, but in fairness that was down to average age of echo 1 as well as gun issues.... And the team wipe out WARPAC managed on Sunday afternoon to close the day was epic. As the newest member of Echo 1 -1, I will be doing this again. Also the amount of rental kit Josh had available for WARPAC, might do that next year. I used the tm hk53 all weekend Couple of m16's and an mp5. On Sunday we went all out and all used hk mp5' or the 53 varient I'm a mix of para chest rigs and full 58 webbing, we looked cool as fu k

Knowing what a lot of stores call a warranty anyway that's not so much a loss, but knowing they are likely lemons is not cool. As Cannonfodder says, it would knock them off my 'do they have it list'. I thought retailers were a flat 'no' here l, which is one of the reasons avenger63 gets so much love and attention in waves.

I'd go so far as to say good but not great, in their defence I haven't been back in what feels like and probably actually two years.
