  1. Fair enough, about the tidying, I though it was a repost due to the timings, hadn't realised the ad had been dragged so much after so recent a posting. Not supposed to look or sound like a witch hunt but it was a reasoned accusation. This is information that I didn't have, my understanding or gdpr is from a hospitality point of view and there for a touch more black and white.
  2. @BigAl Any particular reason this was relisted as a new listing cutting out the questions that were on the previous ad? Just wondered as you seem to have access to the ukara database without being a retailer, Or You are a retailer posting on a private sellers site ....
  3. Just seen the filing for Vulcan, they are going under, Driver wood complaining about parts
  4. Good shout with this, I've got one and really enjoy using it. I am a fan of the extended mags as well. Have fun and practice
  5. Yeah, just the same ones... 😉 There are a couple of Half decent face ache groups, but the actual "knowledge" and experience is much easier to distil in forums and this style of format There is one place I can think of where you can talk unashamedly about the hobby; I will get a little hate for this, airsoft sites, physical ones. Although that does kick up the awkwardness of interacting in real life, with strangers, that like dressing up in costumes and playing soldiers....wait
  6. At Red Mist in March, WARPAC did stumble on to the NATO channel (it's one radio network) told us. We gathered as a full rtb and changed the channel. So milsim, if it's in the rules, fine crack on, where it isn't, not so much, game of honesty and all that. For skirmish, yeah there is a chance you'll get meal team sixxl but why bother?
  7. @CrackPipeCallout welcome....your analysis here would be more appreciated, less funny but correct location......
  8. Paint job not awful, it is a very specific taste/style. It's the lighting that gets me to ask for a lower price....
  9. Kinda, I had the most fun when I wasn't in the compounds (red). the yellow is a pond and wetland. The hashed area is started to shape into town/ multi building space. Every other space is classic woodland. The ridge along the road and that slope is great terrain. The area above the hatched is also really good space but is limited to, as you say, the shape. There are good los and fields of fire for more long range engagement, again on those ridges. If you want that cqb it's there, just run through the compounds, if you want the distance firefights, those opportunities also exist to a lesser extent. For a small site, I think it does well but plenty of opportunity to play with game modes to decentralise the compounds.
  10. The classics are so for a reason! Me, I also just use a cheapo that looks 80's ish (those cold war games). But then at skirmish weekends I have Marshalls for time keeping duties...
  11. "Viper vx plate carrier with back panel dangler ar mag insert and pistol mag insert multicam £450" Did he forget to say it comes in all camo types this side of the old iron wall? Pretty sure this is a £..... item ( I might insert price if I come across one) Damn.
  12. Spent my Sunday in the protected valley of the Dragon Lair. All in a decent site with a couple of limitations, the team are friendly and welcoming, safe zone is well covered and they are still improving the site to create more game play spaces. It's even easy to get to if you ignore the £25 in public transport and cab fees....for the day, which I don't mind (too much). The no bang grenade sucks but they do have a toxic gas rule to aid the balance of that, and they are on hotel grounds, so I get it. Speaking of the hotel- they serve lunch, a good size pizza and garlic chips for the boy and I to share, bargain really. The games themselves were mostly well thought out, and the medic rules they used for some of the games worked really well. I did try flanking on the left valley edge aiming for the plane with a small group to recover the gold. However we got held up by a couple of really determined and very well placed lads kept halting our advance. There are a couple of choke points that fuel to shape and size of site are tough to break but all together good fun. I will be back
  13. Thanks for that, yeah looking around and grabbing pics of what the other g3's have it could well be custom, it is the prongs I am looking for. Back to the trawling I guess
  14. Just gonna add my 2p. 1. Yes this level of entitlement is frustrating to see in the young'uns 2. At 19 I did indeed have bills, council tax, insurance and a whole host of shit to pay, ray might, be trimming the words down. it was tough 3. Job market is shocking at the moment, at 19, that is entry level pay no matter how good you are
  15. Thought to ask here for *reasons* Where are you folks getting your long flash hider from? Had a look around the usual suspects and could not see a smidgen of what I'm looking for, namely, the traditional long 'split' flash hider!
  16. I'll ask this one then. 1st off why do you want a pistol? Sure rule of cool, and they are a lot of fun to use but why? Cheaping out: most of us have been there, the want is strong, but again, £60 odd is a couple of game days rather than having to save again. Don't let the money wear a hole in your pocket. I picked up a 2nd hand we f226, it's a blast and some days that is all I take to a game day (not wholly true, but it's what works when I get there). It cost £120 and came with extra mags. So my advice would be put the £60 in a coffee can and get a decent gbb pistol.
  17. Patrol Base have dropped prices on all thier G&G range... Some tempting prices if looking for a gat
  18. So he now wants only £180, bit it's the trade comment (yes and all the other red flags) that tickled me, like, what do you want to trade?
  19. Sorry to hear you've been caught out, best advice would be seek legal advice, but with people that have the relevant knowledge. There are a few legal minds here that may be able to guide. Ukara is only a defence, not an exception
  20. That's the website I couldn't remember, thank you. Not lying about Ben and his love of the SLR though am I? Even if his did shit its pants when he wanted to come play.... Shame you missed this one, it was fantastic
  21. They have loads of (free) rental kit! DDR were around 12-15 players similar to the USSR. Ben and Callum (and Josh) are passionate about the theme, as such do ask for particular kit, camp and clothes they are a little more understanding about. So for Nato it's pattern 58 and no rails with actual barrel length (they would of course love us all to have SLRs) but along as it passes the 10m rule, so scrimmed rails...period sights rather than red dots and TACTICAL everything. There are a few guides on Facebook (not the website frustratingly), The organisers were amazed at numbers with both familiar and new faces. We found WARPAC seemed to be operating in larger sections, so if they found a nato patrol warpac would be through them but if we were able to dig in and communicate another section would be in support soon enough to win the fire fight. On the Sunday, they operated differently and seemed to have the whole team on tasks...which was....interesting
  22. I must figure out how to get to Splatoon, looks like a decent days shooting. Red Mist 6: Operation Foxcub (Gunman Eversly, camp alpha) weekend filmsim, coldwar gets hot An amazing turnout for the Saturday, around 60 split over Warpac (DDR Section + USSR section and Nato forces (Rifles had a whole 3 sections plus us 'paras' with a couple of tag alongs from the 55th. A great day's shooting and story followed by a decent night drinking and social. For the Sunday numbers for both sides dropped but not crazy, the paras used: a G3 (ICS, metal, heavy) and pleasure to shoot a Fal which again super smooth and well hopped and I was using my (toy weight) mc51 which I really need to replace some parts on, maybe look at hop options, likely try and improve air seal.
