I had the most fun when I wasn't in the compounds (red). the yellow is a pond and wetland. The hashed area is started to shape into town/ multi building space.
Every other space is classic woodland. The ridge along the road and that slope is great terrain. The area above the hatched is also really good space but is limited to, as you say, the shape.
There are good los and fields of fire for more long range engagement, again on those ridges. If you want that cqb it's there, just run through the compounds, if you want the distance firefights, those opportunities also exist to a lesser extent.
For a small site, I think it does well but plenty of opportunity to play with game modes to decentralise the compounds.
