I like it from the left side, but the right side has a very obvious split between red/black between the receiver and handguard, so I'm shipping it off tomorrow to get done red, It'll still have black bolts and attachments for colour balance. Thanks for the compliments everyone Can't wait for the CXP-MARS lower receiver to arrive and then it'll look like a proper space gat. I got it to a stable 360fps with .20s, 330fps with .28s, and a solid RPS of 35 on full auto. I had no spring guide spacers so I had to use an old spring with the end cut off before the main spring on the guide, but I've got some now along with a couple other springs and will be tweaking it to work with them. I'm told it's shooting too hot in terms of joules to be legal though? My site only has the rule of 360fps for outdoor play with .20s when they chrono it, so that's what I was going for, but at that it's at like 1.42joules. What's the ARABS group?

New handguard setup: I kind of like it black.. debating on whether or not to even get it cerakoted red now.

I'm putting a Unity button on it; (and yeah it's backwards in the pic, it's not even screwed down I just laid it on for the picture) Because there's no rail there for the picatinny one I had previously. The only thing I will need to know to match the colour is what ratio he has sprayed them in. Its normally 18:1 so my guess is that's what it will be anyway" So I've emailed daves to get that info. He quoted me £45 for the handguard/rails and 1x epm-1 mag. Nice.

How much does he charge? Dave's would do a handguard for £40 and a magazine for £5, but I got quoted £150 for that by another place. I've emailed about 15 places from the first couple pages of google and only two have gotten back to me so far. One of them doesn't do airsoft and the other doesn't have the colour. Any other suggestions?

Well northwest got back to me and quoted £150, where Dave's does handguard for £40, mags for £5, and I think they'll just toss the rail peices in with the handguard for me. I emailed about 7 different cerakote service sites from the first page of google and still waiting for any to get back to me.

brrrrrrrrt brrrrrrrt I've got it to about 35 now. I'm hoping to get more, I forgot to swap the cylinder when I got a longer barrel, and I need to fix the tappet plate fin, tighten the spring on it, etc.

I'm getting that lower and 10" handguard for this: Semi: Just installed the lonex helical gears and put a DSG in. Auto: I would chrono it but it's 3:30am and don't wanna piss off neighbours. This morning with SHS 12:1 gears: So glad I got rid of that annoying whine. I'm putting those spiral gears in everything now.

Does this count as 'making something'? I looked for like a general development/DIY topic but this is the closest. Magnetized the grip rubber because it uses two very long screws which take forever to get out for swapping battery etc. Worked out better than expected. Gonna chop some bolt heads off and glue them to the back so it looks like they're in.

Figured guys here would know what best tool / bit to use here. I'm going to dremel the crap out of my ACR stock tomorrow so I can fit an 11.1v lipo in there. I checked and it will fit the hole just needs to be widened. Plan is to take the cheek rest off and extension bit, and then, I'm not really sure. You guys have any ideas what the best way would be to cut out all that plastic? I've got a drill and dremel. Edit: Just found this via google; Looks a lot easier to do.

I'm modding the repro mawl so the laser works. For some reason even though it has a working and wired up Red Laser, no combination of buttons can get it running. What you need to look at are the blue and yellow wires coming from the laser, swap the yellow with the one on the connector and the blue with the grey wire from the IR. You don't need to rewire the rest up just cover it with tape or heatshrink. Obviously doing this will disable the IR laser, but the red laser and torch work fine. There's also no working 2.5mm or 3.5mm connector on the back of the unit, but there is room for one, so I've bought some female 2.5mm jack connectors and i'm going to wire it up so any button plugged into it will toggle the laser on/off. To turn the laser on, you bridge these two connections here. Should be a simple job of drilling a hole for the connector and wiring it to those points. Thanks I took that thing apart so many times that it essentially became unfixable so I tore the guts out and now it's just the shell hanging on the wall as decor. I might get a new one someday and do it proper and put a moscart launcher inside etc, but that's a project for another time.

The offset is just for the look really. I started out wanting to copy the BCM in The Tomorrow War, never went with the acog but still think the offset looks cool.
