Figured guys here would know what best tool / bit to use here. I'm going to dremel the crap out of my ACR stock tomorrow so I can fit an 11.1v lipo in there. I checked and it will fit the hole just needs to be widened. Plan is to take the cheek rest off and extension bit, and then, I'm not really sure. You guys have any ideas what the best way would be to cut out all that plastic? I've got a drill and dremel. Edit: Just found this via google; Looks a lot easier to do.

I'm modding the repro mawl so the laser works. For some reason even though it has a working and wired up Red Laser, no combination of buttons can get it running. What you need to look at are the blue and yellow wires coming from the laser, swap the yellow with the one on the connector and the blue with the grey wire from the IR. You don't need to rewire the rest up just cover it with tape or heatshrink. Obviously doing this will disable the IR laser, but the red laser and torch work fine. There's also no working 2.5mm or 3.5mm connector on the back of the unit, but there is room for one, so I've bought some female 2.5mm jack connectors and i'm going to wire it up so any button plugged into it will toggle the laser on/off. To turn the laser on, you bridge these two connections here. Should be a simple job of drilling a hole for the connector and wiring it to those points. Here's a video of the laser working before screwing it back together: Edit: Ignore the first part of this post, there was no reason to mod the wires I'm a dummy. However I got the switch done:

Thanks I took that thing apart so many times that it essentially became unfixable so I tore the guts out and now it's just the shell hanging on the wall as decor. I might get a new one someday and do it proper and put a moscart launcher inside etc, but that's a project for another time.

The offset is just for the look really. I started out wanting to copy the BCM in The Tomorrow War, never went with the acog but still think the offset looks cool.

The larger cutout around the M9 is for the Auto-9 to fit.

Sorry to necro an old thread, but I just found this. My ICS Hera Arms CQR came with the decocking function (latch on the back of the ARL which is knocked by the selector plate). I was going to put a new ARL in, but it didn't have the pin long enough to attach the latch, so I kept the stock. Are there any downsides to removing this?

My SCAR-H I'm calling the 'Broadsword'. I just need a new torch, and a couple of unity mod buttons for the dbal/torch and it's finally finished.

Just figured out how to switch the MAWL to left handed..

Finally got my MAWL today: My heavily customized ICS Hera I'm calling 'Orion'. I've still got the lower receiver the change and the handguard. Strike Industries pins, and an Acetech Blaster supp/tracer unit.

Just shot 214rds and this is the telemetry from GATE GCS: shs 12:1 gears, j-cage bearings, warhead standard motor, 11.1v lipo. Oh and PDI 150% variable spring. (M135) I just shot it through the chrono (no idea what weight was in the mag so I tried .25 and .28) any ideas?

It's almost complete. I need to swap the wilcox for a black one, dremel the BCM gunfighter foregrip to fit on the rail properly (PMM rails), figure out how to get a battery in that stock, get a better torch, and modlite buttons for the torch/dbal. Total cost on this gun so far is around £3k With a warhead motor and good shimming it's quite tap tap tappy.

The VFC SCAR-H selector plate is trash, as is any nylon or other platic ones you can buy, if you use the lever on the right (because you're left handed), the teeth on it get stripped crazy easily. So I found an .stl file of it on thingverse, got it printed in aluminium - it wasn't shaped properly - learned to mod the file myself enough, got it printed again in aluminium (shit is expensive, talking like, £35 for a selector plate). Anyway, here it is. I can post the modded file if anyone wants it. Edit: actually just uploaded it anyway incase anyone comes across this in the future; https://atomicrhino.net/upload/airsoft/scarh/VFC_selector_plate_mk_17.stl.zip Top plate is the stock one, bottom is a nylon printed one I bought from a shop. Teeth broke before the gun even left the house.

It looks fucking sick dude. I hope you exaggerate the recoil when you fire it because it's just a massive hand cannon I'd hate to see it pew pew pew BBs and not BANG BANG Yes I make noises for my WH40k miniatures too.

Certifiably good kit. What paddle is that? It looks midride but has a thigh strap? I have long arms and have found that a midride on a shooter belt is too high up for me to comfortably draw from, I even tried a cantable paddle but that was worse because it wouldn't stay in the angle I put it. I'm trying to find a good middle between midride and lowride. And don't get me started on the actual holster itself, I'm left handed which makes things difficult to start with, and then I use non-standard guns that won't fit into anything.

I'm so accustomed to doing it that I just do it anywhere, out and about, walking streets, going the shops, etc, it's kind of surreal sometimes because you can get a kind of dissociation and start seeing everything from a birds eye / third person perspective, it's wild. I think my gf is trying to lose weight so that I /will/ marry her.

It was for about .2 of a second, it's no biggie It does make watching shows I used to really enjoy like Always Sunny difficult though.. if you've seen it, you know what I mean. -
I'd recommend looking into stoic philosophy, and focusing on mindfulness meditation - meditation sounds like a scary word if you've never done it, but it comes in many forms - it doesn't just mean sitting there, legs crossed, going hmmmmmm to yourself, you can practice mindful meditation at any point anywhere.
