Yeah the guys who occasionally showed up in blue kit and owned the site using actual CQB tactics etc were firearms officers.

Yeah the job guys at the Werkz were fairly involved in dealing with thefts and general fuckery as I recall. IIRC a few of them.were SO19 and the standing 'agreement' was if you were post chrono found playing with a hot gun your choices were "leave, now" or "your kit will be confiscated by someone with a warrant card and go to the ballistics lab for testing". I do remember one of them on the phone to the BTP after someone got mughed on the way there and the BTP were more worried about the fact he had a couple of airsoft guns in a bag than the scrote that pulled a knife on him...... that was an interesting phone call to hear. Either way 1) I do miss the Werkz. 2) As far as Im concerned as soon as stuff goes missing the site should take steps. I was there when the guys at combat south urban locked the doors and went straight to 'either the missing BFG appears or the door stays locked'. Oddly it was found...... about 200 metres and several solid walls from were it went missing. As Ive mentioned on here before (having had a dynatex vanish from the one really well lit and hole free part of The Mall) the one thing that really grips my shit with sites is when the approach taken by staff to items dissappearing is "meh' it'll turn up" or similar.

One thing I would have found really helpful last time I had to do anything first aid adjacent (dog walker witha really messed up ankle in a quite difficult to reach area) space blankets...... wrong weather + shock and someones potentially gonna be in a very bad place much quicker than you might think. I mean clearly not as quick as if they're squirting but.......

Backing up the above about training..... little terrifies me more than someone with all the gear and no idea trying to use a TQ on some poor bugger who's already injured. Personally I carry some basics I'm qualified to use gloves, FFD, TQ, chest seals and quickclot but realistically short of something going turbo mega wrong Im gonna let the site first aiders/ambulance deal with anything.

Tbh I approach it with common sense. If they've taken game day hits visual inspection and crack on. If I'd deliberately point blanked them with a 500fps on .4s type of set up.... Id probably consider that set suspect. Then again I'm lucky enough to have a fairly consistant supply of free Revision's......

Fun fact...... On receipt of impact you should be changing eyepro. Especially after point blank testing with high FPS kit. They are designed to protect against a single impact and are then considered compromised.

£1249, no optic, no mlok panels if Im reading it right and oh by the way he's also offering a £100 upgrade package for extra. Nah mate. For that money Im expecting recoil. Lock back on empty (at the very least simulated) oh and no real need to pay extra for upgrades.

Ran my MP5SD for the first time today. Love it. The fps is a touch low but it throws TM perfect hit .25s like lasers. As a side note, damn but the claw mount is more comfortable to use than the low type mounts with a comp m2 style sight.

The Mall many many moons ago for the Bamako Bampots charity game. BFG's going walking from the best lit part of the site and the staff not wanting to say anything at lunch because "its a charity game, it'll ruin the atmosphere".

I'm certainly not holding my breath for marui to drop one given that they have yet to do so with NGRS either. Shame really an NGRS rerelease of the old CAR15 would be of definite interest to me. As alluded to above given the fitment issues Ive heard of I'm definitely not interested in dropping £500 plus on an AG fixed carry handle set.

The cynical part of me suspects that this is a "the people that have been giving us money actually want us to do something" kinda meeting. But then again 23yrs as an engineer have left me with an overwhelmingly cynical and pessimistic world view.

I suspect the moment a MWS clone with a fixed carry handle becomes available they'll fly off the shelves. Especially given that as I understand it the AG option has fitment issues.
