  1. Nope. Sub £135, the retailer will charge you the extra VAT. Over £135 and it's just like ordering from the US/Japan/outside of EU pre Brexit - you run the risk of customs catching it and getting VAT, duty and a clearance charge.
  2. A couple of pairs of needle nose pliers would sort that out.
  3. Probably referring to this. Ceremonial swearing in. It is pretty creepy to be fair. The hair stroking, sniffing etc.
  4. Do you need one, probably not. Is a GBB a lot of fun? Absolutely. Though as said, they are very handy in tight CQB situations.
  5. You won't find a more realistic GBBR AR15 than the GHK unless you go Vipertech/Inokatsu which are pretty niche and you probably won't find anyone selling them in the UK unless you find a second hand one. Plus they're based on the ancient WA system which GHK is an updated version of. The TM MWS is a great airsoft gun but it's not a very good imitation of a RS gun. It seems your options out of the box that requires no mods are the GHK MK16 URG-I/MK16/M4 keymod or a TM MTR16/MK16. At the end of the day, you'll be happy with the TM or the GHK. The TM is more performance orientated so would be more suitable for skirmishing. The GHK, more realistic, better RS parts compatibility. Plus, you can set it up to run CO2 for that extra specialness. Wildcard, there are the Rare Arms guns which are a bit pricey but very cool. Especially if it's just going to be used for training at home where picking up the shells won't be so much of a PITA. https://www.crw-airsoft.com/rare-arms-m4-145-r-system-co2-gbb--shell-ejecting-13750-p.asp
  6. Avoid. It's a KWA/KSC system which is absolutely meh for ARs. Get a TM MWS or a GHK AR variant.
  7. Not strictly airsoft but considering Zev stuff is getting licensed in airsoft, perhaps these are on the cards eventually? If so, RIP Magpul FMG inflated values. https://magpul.com/fdp-fdc
  8. I've never understood the snobby attitude that some in the RS world of both the US and UK have towards airsoft. At the end of the day, a significant % of people that get into airsoft (in the US at least) will migrate to RS when age and/or funds allow which will then bolster that community. And considering Biden and his team are vehemently anti gun, they're going to have an uphill battle and need all the support they can get.
  9. Something I found out in the last couple of days is that if you buy something that is sub £135 and already in the UK at the point of sale, but sold by an overseas seller, you have to pay the VAT at point of sale. Probably not a lot of situations where this applies but something to think about none the less.
  10. And the two round burst is very satisfying.
  11. No VAT added at the basket/retailer stage for a £135+ order. This allows them to avoid registering with HMRC and paying a subscription in order to repatriate the VAT. £135+ order is treated just like a pre Brexit order from HK/US/Japan/non EU country. You run the risk of customs getting their grubby hands on it and slapping you with VAT and a clearance charge from the courier. Basically a way for EU shops to not get involved in any extra costs for them is what I gather. I believe tariffs will come into play at some point too but things seem up in the air during the transitional stage.
  12. I was under the impression that for anything under £135, the retailers take the VAT and repays to HMRC so you shouldn't have to deal with any VAT or custom's handling fees unless you import something over £135.
  13. Yeah. Yesterday, I had an order from Germany via GLS refused by PF and returned to sender
  14. How do you order direct with Holy Warrior? Have they got a web shop?
  15. And I bet you don't even go airsofting the 1 day a year it's actually viable to skirmish in snow 😄
  16. I was going to ask you if you could recommend an RMR clone as you seem to get a new RDS every week heh. I take it these Vector Optics ones would be the recommendation? Any idea if they fit on Glocks with RMR cuts?
  17. Their response would lead me to believe they don't know about 8mm BBs. Did you clarify it with them? Perhaps they thought it was something like a 4.5mm metal BB.
  18. Did you just transfer the internals from existing mags or can you buy the internals separately?
  19. Oh man. Poor guy not knowing WA was Western Arms. I mean, it had seen better days sure but still a good deal.
  20. I think you're splitting hairs there to be honest. Indexing, re-indexing, initial insertion, whatever. Having that little tab to pull on helps massively when inserting mags when compared to the traditional BFG 10 speed. Once the pouches are a bit worn in, re-indexing is absolutely viable with these pouches. From SS "We have also added laminate loops on the outside of each cell to allow for the attachment of retention loops or to allow you to pull the pouch open to insert items more easily. "
  21. Yeah, I'm with you there. There are a few brands that have improved the BFG elastic pouch idea. Spiritus Systems and Ferro Concepts do a similar product but with added pull tabs to ease re-indexing. https://www.spiritussystems.com/placard-5-56-x-45/ https://ferroconcepts.com/collections/front-flaps/products/adapt-tear-front-flap
  22. You can get BFG 10 speeds for .308 and HK417 https://www.blueforcegear.com/ten-speed-triple-sr25-mag-pouch.html https://www.blueforcegear.com/ten-speed-double-417-mag-pouch.html If you want flexibility, definitely G Code Skorpions over Tacos
