The 'What have you just bought' Thread

WE M4 CQBR which is going to be the base for a gas L119 A1 build to go with my A1 and A2 AEG's . I've got a couple of other WE GBBR's so am familiar with the good and not so good bits and the mags are compatible with the ones I have for the L85 that I got as a completely unknown quantity from an airsoft jumble and rebuilt. -
416 more or less complete. Ebay receiver has had trades added. Bought a sheet of waterslide decals off the internet, they seem ok if a bit bright. I had to play with the spacing a bit since the receiver already had the 5.56 markings. Decals over coated with several coats of Halfords camo varnish. Trades are noy 100 % accurate by any means , but do the job plenty well enough. I'll tone them down a bit with some washes some time. Complete front end, stock and pistol grip donated by a mate who was having a clear out . Some parts from my own spares draw and a Tomtac gearbox and Bob's your uncle !
-
A mate recently had a clear out of spares and gave me some bits, couple of 1911's that had been cannibalised for parts and a 416 front. Raided my spares and found a receiver on ebay, 416 mocked up

I spotted that, quick someone phone Jason Statham 🤣

Little Lock Down MP5 build. ICS metal upper with JG lower and stock. JG gearbox with ICS barrel and hop. Still some fettling to do yet before I chrono it but happy with how it's coming together.

Is that a vinyl mask for the trades ? works well . Barrel looks a tad long to me, unless its the angle. Great to see another 119 on here

M4 charging handle and “bolt carrier“ aka the hop up cover
Nick G replied to RonLancs's topic in Electric Guns
the bolt guide probably came off when the receiver got bent . Only pics I've got I'm afraid but if you look at them carefully with your parts in front of you, you should be able to see how they go. You'll need to sort that bend out first, or just shop around for a new upper receiver that you can swap the front end over on to. -

you might be able to re attach it with a decent epoxy type glue, I suspect it was fitted onto small pegs that have broken away. Is the upper receiver actually misshapen below the ejection port or is the photo ? Here you go, this is how it should sit -

The mock bolt should be attached to the upper, the part at the top of it in your picture with the small spring should be attached below the ejection port. Have a look at the receiver there may be some broken or lost fastenings. In fact you can see them if you blow the picture up, the two silver 'dots' below the ejection port. The section of receiver there actually looks bent in the picture too. -

Well it's arrived ......... but they sent it to my home address so it ended up with a neighbour . Not actually a problem but not as requested. On the plus side they have sent me the Cybergun version , same gun but with trades.
-
Well I've had an email with a shipping number so should have it tomorrow fingers crossed ........note to self take battery and BBs to work tomorrow ! I've had to chase them all the way though, so wouldn't use them again.
-
It certainly wont go on for months, they've got till Tuesday to confirm that they have it and it's being shipped. After that I'll ask for a refund and go via paypal if needs be. Nothing I can't live without, just fancying a 249 and the S&T one suits, standard V2 so easy to work on and polymer is fine for keeping the weight down, but not an issue if I don't get one.
-
Ordered an S&T M249 from them Tuesday as showing in stock, no communication from them after the 'order received' email. Rang them yesterday to confirm the order is all ok, was told yes being processed will be with me Monday or Tuesday. Messaged them again today via Facebook to ask for confirmation of dispatch and a tracking number, got a reply back to say they have had to order one in as they thought they had one but didn't 'should' be with them Monday / Tuesday and with me mid week. Replied to say that that was a problem as no one would be home daytime after Tuesday to receive it. an hour later I rang them as no reply, spoke to two members of staff and at the moment they are using 24 hr delivery and it's going to my place of work, I've said I expect a phone call to confirm dispatch. We will see, If I don't hear from them Monday I'll phone them Tuesday and if it isn't there I'll just take a refund . I work in retail and I know the issues with stock levels etc, however I work with a customer base who expect excellent service and that certainly includes proper communication.

Realised I had only posted my L119 A1 in 'short' form. I usually run it in long 16" guise , so here it is along side my current A2 build, also in 'long' form. The A1 carries C8 trades , but I recon there must be the odd one in British hands that ended up with a replacement receiver so I am happy enough with that. The A2 has full Colt Canada L119 A2 trades along with the extra cuts on the top rail.

Valken polymer M4 type thing, going to be a test bed for some of the parts for my L119 A2 build. Then it'll get used as a back up that I can bung in the car for wet days and for the afternoons when I want something lighter to lug around ! Actually feels remarkably solid, Chrono's at 330 on .2's with some hop on, so sight legal out of the box and comes with ambi controls

Valken ASL , polymer M4 based jobbie. actually it's officially for my birthday next week. Cheep polymer AEG which will go out in the rain and generally be abused........it also has ambi fire selectors which 'may' find their way onto ma L119 A2 build ! -
Start of my L119 A2 build. Carbine length rather than the 10" short version just 'cos I think it looks cooler 😁 Long way to go with it, receiver sent off today for engraving and machining . Like my A1 , no base gun it's a complete ground up build.
