  1. Played at my usual site yesterday , first time i've played for a couple of months with one thing and another . Group of our usual players were off at Dorchester for the day , but a team had traveled up from Plymouth so there were aprox 35 players including rentals. Absolute blast of a day , everyone played well and fair . Close games , hard faught by both teams . Lad on the other team managed to creap up on a bunch of us and took 4 or 5 of us out in one banzai run ! I played all GBB , the L85 , L119 A2 and M249 all got a run . Some great kills with them , the 119 A2 in particular was getting some very sneaky shots in . Ran the 249 with an hpa tank but using the 130 round mags . That continues to be a blast to use .

Ran the 249 today . Used the hpa line but stick mags . I'm not a massive fan of hpa , but it is a convienient way of running the 249 . Got lots of solid kills with it . It's just so much fun to use and constantly impresses , and the sound is awesome. Going to drop the power a bit though , despite being comfortably inside site limit a couple of the guys I hit had some proper welts . I've ordered the railed hand guard for it too to change the look a bit.
  3. It's always worth asking them if they will do a deal for 3 , and that's best done face to face . I manage a Jewllwers and will always listen if someone asks about some discount , but if they start taking the piss and being pushy I start increasing the price . Ask them , be polite about it and see what they say.
  4. I've got one . Fitted a Maple leaf barrel , rubber I key and hop wheel to it , as I do on all my pistols , and it's great . My main pistol infact . It's never let me down , has great range and easily lifts .30 BBs . TBF even stock it was acceptable , especially for CQB , for woodland pistol games it did need the M/L bits.

  6. The valves will probably fit, WE fill valves are very generic , I've used them in loads of other brands .
  7. Daft question , but are you filling them correctly ? mag upside down . All of my WE stanags will happily do 2 loads of BBs with one gas fill, actually it's more like 2.5 loads but I rarely need to use that many. Mine are used in my L119's but also in my L85 which is the same spec as yours , RAtech NPAS and washers on the recoil rods. How free is your bolt ? if it's dragging that will use more gas , have you checked the O ring on the back of the nozzle ? again if it's shot it'll be using more gas . Do you knpw anyone else with a WE that takes stanags so you can compare perfomance in another gun ?

    THE TM MWS thread

I'd have a look at the hop rubber too, and probably replace it , also check the O ring on the back of the piston.
  9. I've a couple of JG MP5's including an SD . Bloody awesome for the money . Mine get used in a woodland site and have plenty of range , never let me down , never broken and soooo much lighter than all my GBBRs !

Easy to read on the go and cheap enough to not care if it comes a cropper.

I've been running mine on hpa recently , but still with the stick mags. It's a very easy and quick swap , so I can still use the green gas box mag when I dont want the line.

Awesome news on both counts ! You are going to love it , they are sooooo much fun . Be interesting to see how long a couple of 45g capsules last in a game.

It's fucking ups , they have 2 speeds , glacial and stop !

I wonder if the bosses that the capsules screw into are themselves screwed in . They do have a slot on top. Next time I dont have a 'live' co2 capsule in I'll have a look at that . If they are , then replacements with the smaller internal bore might be an option .

I can get some pics . The block has an integral regulator though . What would be good would be insetrs that screw in to the existing threads . I do have a couple of adaptors that screw in and allow smaller capsules to fit . And the adapters I have . Something like these to use something smaller than the 88g would be good.
  16. All my WE STANAGS fit my L85 . Not sure if the WE Pmags fit though as I dont have any to try

Actually now I check 5/8 is damn near 16mm so they might fit . Give them a go and please do let us know . Certainly 2 x 45g bulbs would give a decent capacity.

I'm going to say that from the picture those capsules are not the right thread size , you need M16 x 1.5 threads. The big 88g ones are the correct threads but are too long to fit in the box without modifying it. I've used adapters and smaller cartridges but found I went through them very fast .
  19. Mine has a maple leaf crazy jet barrel , ML rubber and from memory a ML omega nub in it . Range etc is as good as any of my other GBBRs. Pretty sure I put a RATec NPAS in it (all my other WEs have them) TBH I very rarely game it now as I absolutely hate G36 mags ! not specifically the GBBR ones , just G36 mags in general . It does get loaned out though when folk want to try a GBBR for a day . I know lots of people have issues with WE parts quality , but I have never had a failure that wasn't my own fault on any of my WE GBBRs and I've got 6 of 'em.
  20. Given how hard my WE G36 kicks the VFC must be an animal !

put m/L crazy jet barrels in mine and my mate's . Fitted with M/L rubbers and slightly closed up C clip . Early indications are that accuracy is improved with less spread , power level went up a touch too as I used longer barrels. Also ran mine on hpa last weekend . Still using the internal mags , cant be doing with the aeg boxmag idea. Whilst I'm not a fan of hpa I will conceed it worked well, and given the cost of the big CO2 capsules I'll soon cover the £150 the bottle , reg and line cost . Added to which my local site does free refills. I see a mix of hpa and green gas mag use depending on game type. Switching between the two is a matter of a couple of minutes. Still continue to love the beast, it's just so much fun , and now there are two on site the noise in the woods is impressive !

    Gun techs

Just buy a chrono and set the NPAS yourself, 10 minute job and the chrono will probably cost you less than a tech will charge. Plus you have a chrono for future use. The hop is best set at a site as you'll need the distance to see what the BB is doing . Again it's a 10 minute job at most.

    WE MSK

NPAS set to low can strangle a gun , also too much or no hop , have you tried adjusting the hop to see if it alters ?
