  1. My G&G TR16 (stock gearbox) double feeds a lot when using the top battery in this photo (the nuprol battery) Under advice from Sam at KoA I started using the bottom battery, with a higher C rating. Cured the double feeding completely with no noticable additional wear to the motor. Unfortunately I cannot remember if it was the burst or the continuous C number that Sam said was important 😅
  2. Perhaps he's away to a bike forum, since that's something we are still allowed to do.
  3. Probably annoyed that he can't/won't go play pew pew due to Covid, while simultaneously annoyed at others going to play pew pew every weekend 😜
  4. For what it's worth, I turned my Falkor Defence Recce into a "~1.1 joule " DMR. For two main reasons: 1. I am terrible and judging MED in many locations. 2. I didn't feel the range increase vs the med to be worth it if I upped it to a "proper" DMR. It's currently shooting ~340fps with .2's. I can't remember what the fps is with .25's that I normally use it's easily shooting around 75m in range (measured on google maps... See picture 😅, it shoots the first red box on the left, but struggles to reach the red box on the right of the road at the corner of the building). It's upgrades centered around range and accuracy rather than rapid fire. It still shoots full auto with no problems, but it's not anything exceptional there. I'd have a long hard look at your playing style and your regular playing sites to see if a DMR is actually worth it, or if you should just get a range focused aeg/gbb.
  5. If you don't have your hand in the air, your not dead to me, so you get shot at. It's sneaky tactics, but if noone on the opposing team even challenge/called out to them to ask or remind them to put their hand up if they were hit, then they were not being observant.
  6. I was out taking photos again on saturday. It was damp and windy, about half the trenches were still filled with about 2.5ft of water and a lot of the grass was boggy. Had two folk fall into the trenches and one do a spectacular slide/slip into the boggy bit. Sadly I missed them all with the camera! Numbers were on the low side, but I reckon thats cause the forecast was awfull.
  7. My aps/evike Falkor Defense Recce. It never shot properly from the start and sounded like a rough ducati . It's now had more than I care to admit spent on it and now shoots like it should
  8. I'd say ask Sam at KoA. He's probably tested a whole host of batteries in them and knows what fits and what doesn't. @Adolf Hamster, that looks like it almost belongs on a small motorcycle! 😳
  9. You can buy the machined out pad direct from KoA if you already have the stock - https://www.kingdomofairsoft.com/product-page/genuine-magpul-ctr-extended-buffer-pad
  10. Looks fantastic for that enviorment! I've been taking photos at my local site on and off for while, I've noticed boots are a common thing that sticks out for snipers. The other is the bolt on a lot of snipers. If they are shiny ( either through use or by design) they end up glinting in the sun, like a little beacon. I've seen many snipers that get those covers for their scops to stop the reflection, but don't think about the other shiny bits on them or their guns. Some saftly specs can also do it, mesh seems to work much better in this case. I was playing this sunday as VSA in Dundee. Picked up my Falkor Recce from KoA on saturday after Sam had many headaces getting it working properly for the first time in it's life. It shoots very well now, range is ace although the hop is still bedding in I reckon as it's not totally accurate all the time. Something to keep an eye on... Game day was a bit of a mixed bag. Lots of newer players again, which was interesting this time. Many of them seemed to think their hire guns could range the whole of the site and were repeatedly vocal about the "no hit taking", even after various folk demonstrating their range. Also had a few players with their own guns having the same problem... 🤔 For the first time in ages it seems I had proper issues with fogging glasses. The temp was around 10-12 degrees but rather misty/drizzle which wasn't helping matters. I borrowed some Cat Crap from a friend after a few games and oh wow! I should have bought this stuff ages ago. It's getting delivered to me tomorrow now.
  11. I'd be testing that the bb's themselves don't shatter. Other than that, if it's not a high fps through the chrono then invite marshels to be shot with it to see if they can tell the difference or not.
  12. ZeroOne bb's I had feeding issues with, the ASG blasters, like has been said, shatter ever do often so I stopped buying them. Guarderbb's I used for a good few months with no problems, however few places sold them at the time and shipping was not the cheapest if all I wanted/needed was bbs. Nuprol RZR were ok (possibly a few feed issues, but I dislike bb's in bottles. I prefer pouches/bags. Been using G&G .25's for ages now without any issues, price is good and I can get them delivered cheaply, especially as there is a local group f us using them so we order them all together. Can't see me changing from them to be honest.
  13. Looks like the same kinda mask, but the one in the picture is mesh rather than lenses.
  14. Awesome work! I try doing this every so often, however I end up getting cramp in my legs/arms after about 5 min. We had a game day yesterday, I was shooting with my camera rather than a rif (pictures here) however. Lots of new players, which suprised me to be honest but with some guidance from the more experienced players it turned out to be a really great day. New players taking their hits and not being scared of running to the front lines as it were 😁
  15. This is Pan, one of my many axolotls.
  16. I have this rucksack. https://www.military1st.co.uk/14002210-mil-tec-molle-us-assault-pack-large-red.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjwk8b7BRCaARIsAARRTL6G-csfllwwcl9TD8RO7n4UHDKji_FlfLyBJGwMuU5ipGuP06vOHngaAiMIEALw_wcB It's massive and fits all my bbs, mags, spare mags/sling/pouches, bfg and bits. Oh, and the all important lunch, water and snacks! And yes, mine is bright red. 😁 Use what ever is easiest for you I would say. It all depends on what kind of kit and how much.
  17. This is my experience of "them" as well. It's just a different playing style. Personally, I think sites that don't want to force everyone into playing speedsoft style need to have a rule/enforce that rapid fire (full auto or super quick single shot) is to be capped at a sensible rate of fire. I do tend to double tap targets I am shooting at, but more and more I seem to get hit not by a single or double shot, but 4-8 rounds within a second or two from the same player. That I find very annoying...
  18. I first saw one of these last week and I was impressed! Going to have a look into them. They could very well be the answer! 😁
  19. I tend to go looking like a lost hillwalker to be honest. I've tried a few different styles of belts and chest rigs and those waistcoat/jacket style things. Nothing is even remotely a good balance of comfortable and practical. Pretty much cause boobs get it in the way. Chest rigs have not been designed for women like me 😂 I borrowed a battle belt from my partner for my last game day, it's comfortable and I can fit enough stuff on it, but as soon as I run it "jumps" of my hips and then rotates around.... Annoying! So I'm going back to the carry less and attach it to a simple belt. - 1 or 2 high cap M4 flash mags, Bfg pouch, Short, horizontal pouch for general stuff on the back. I may eventually go back to running with a side arm, but not having it makes moving around much easier. I'm definitely a convert to the "light load out" style now. The cost savings a great too! 😅
  20. Viper Strike, up in Dundee. I've heard from a few the POW are taking it seriously too, but I'm sticking close to home for now 🙂
  21. Our local outdoor site has been open every weekend (alternating Saturday and Sundays) since lockdown restrictions were eased and allowed it. They have restrictions in place - pre book only, max numbers, hand sanitizer, track and trace, no inside buildings only games etc. I feel ok going to it, mostly as I usually know the majority of people there and trust them not to turn up with symptoms, however I do stick to some precautions - I now always use the outside safe zone tables, I stay playing outside of the buildings on site, and generally wear a mask during breifings etc when we are closer together. I have found myself playing a more of a ranged playing style rather than getting up close. It has been fun, and nice to see everyone again as we have not played since away last year(!) And getting outside for the whole day make a great change as I have been stuck working from home since February 😔 Untill governments say we can nolonger attend organised sports, I'll probably keep going every fortnite for a game. Yesterday I went up to take pictures for them, which was also fun.
  22. I've also been told (and used ) 7.4v lipos are good for 8.4v NiMH batteries. But yes, I think you might struggle getting a lipo to fit there. Is running a batter bag/box an option? VP batteries are pretty thin, but I think they might be too wide then.
  23. Urgh that sounds so frustrating. Hope they get it sorted quick for you if you send it back.
