  1. Yes and no. They are reasonably stiff and come in a variety of lengths however they are also two part assemblies so make sure the grub screws are tightened up and loctighted... Don't make the mistake I did and send the outer barrel flying mid fire fight 😅
  2. I've asked firesupport to order some in and they've said they'll be with them within a few weeks. Personally I'm after them as part of my impression build as they seem to be the first good P-mags and they have been used by SF guys. The round count is the same as my TM mp7 so not a massive difference really, but the much larger gas chamber *may* help with cool down if you like full auto. I'll probably stick a full review up when I get my hands on some.
  3. FRV slings are reasonable for the price, but the webbing is only 1" which isn't actually that comfortable. But that's just my experience. The plus side is that the hardware is reasonable. Although there are better out there. Can I ask how often you actually use your sling? (Since I use mine a lot I went for a magpul MS3, alternatively Andy at TacbeltsUK on IG does good way of the gun slings at a very reasonable price.)
  4. So I notice that g&p have released an extended P-Mag for the MWS.... Has anyone managed to test one, and if so how does it compare to the other P-mags out there for consistency? https://shop.jkarmy.com/g-p-g-mag-long-ver-for-marui-tm-mws-gbbr-system-black-magazine-p-mag-style.html
  5. Tbh I'd just buy am off the shelf unit and only change the tubes if absolutely necessary. I don't think that building your own is actually that cost effective unfortunately, especially as tubes often have a big markup on them anyway. Yeah I just live with the helmet and use it for CQB and night ops as it also has my earpro attached to it. Although mine is a repro opscore maritime helmet that weighs an awful lot less than an actual ballistic helmet.
  6. The age of the tube is a factor, but you should be able to at least get a video through from the seller before hand which will give you an idea on what it looks like. The thing with tubes is that each one is effectively unique as they are very thin layers of phosphor so you will see blemishes and light/dark patches on most tubes and will also have them from new potentially. Generally though an older/worn out tube just means poor resolution or a dim image which should be fairly obvious. Swapping tubes on the other hand is a bit more involved, although arguably easier than teching an AEG, it just needs to be done carefully and then potentially purged with nitrogen which is the hard part I expect. Helmet options is a different matter entirely and my knowledge of Russian helmets is non existent at best, I use Wilcox (repro) just because it's simple and really easy to use. The helmet you mentioned has a shroud on it so you'd just need to find the compatible mount and a suitable J-arm and you should be good to go. I'm just not sure what the Russian standard mount is like unfortunately. Oh and definitely a helmet over a night cap or skull crusher any day... It's just much more stable.
  7. TBH Gen 2+ if its Photonis or Gen3 is a good place to start for a nice experience but will vary depending on the tube (the difference is actually the metals/structure inside the tube that amplifies the light) there is quite a bit of Russian stuff out there too although the newer stuff is much much better than some of the antiques you sometimes see turn up for a few hundred on various sites. look for modern monoculars over PVS7 types as they're much easier to use and you may find things like PN21k or MUM14 may be interesting (Russian and polish units respectively) There are also quite a lot of good second hand deals to be had to if you want to save yourself a decent chunk of money. In particular the FB Group Night vision market place outside America is really handy for seeing what's around and the prices are reasonable (Link HERE)
  8. Pretty much why I'm holding out for theirs over the archwick kit due out at some point.... Although all this talk of 416's has got me thinking now 🤣🤣🤣
  9. I'm looking forward to this build... I'm still sitting here patiently waiting for their L119A2 MWS kit, but the Hao kits seem really well made 👍
  10. This advert is COMPLETED!

For sale is one 5.11 Rush tier Rifle Sleeve. they are well made bits of kit that fit on most day sacks or Bergen's fitted with molle on the side allowing you to to carry an additional rifle. this has been used for one weekend event before I invested in a full drag bag and as such is in very good condition. price is £25 including PayPal fees and postage within the UK.

  11. tbh the standard 250mm TM inner barrel is just as good as if not better than most of the aftermarket alternatives so it will always be a solid option.
  12. so the two terms you've used are both colloquial terms for muzzle velocity or muzzle energy. and as @Davegolf has said a longer barrel increases this, but this is only half of what makes a difference particularly in gas guns. as far as increasing range goes though, that is significantly down to the hop unit/rubber itself and it's ability to consistently put enough hop on the BB in a controlled way, and that is what makes the mws a pretty special GBBR. there isn't another magical force that gives it extra range though.
  13. if it's loosened up a little already then you're almost certainly right. it sounds like they have tightened the tolerance without thinking about the thickness of the paint on the mag... it's probably just one of those things at least that means you should have very good consistency due to a solid gas seal.
  14. It sounds like the tolerance on the mag release where it it holds the mag in as a bit too tight... as to whether you want to sand it down a little is up to you. although I can't be sure without seeing it in person.
  15. you won't regret it... don't even have to change anything if you don't want too...
  16. my rs magpul ASAP sling plate fitted fine without any modification so I'd imagine that the QD would work just as well...
  17. yep, they're great for some of the hard to get stuff and importing things with a bit less hassle. not the cheapest but reliable. they've also been responsible for getting things like the Angry Gun L119A2 rail into production.
  18. at that point... the work had better be carried out by the TM masters where they have employed a thousand fairies to infuse extra magic into what is probably only an averagely performing Rif... 😅
  19. I am genuinely gob smacked at that.... I mean no offense but £800 for a cyma should make alarm bells start ringing across the nation.... 😂😂😂
  20. personally I've never bothered. I just top up my mags with a squirt nuprol 2.0 after the games finished just to keep the seals in good nick. (for some reason it's a fantastic maintenance gas 😅) the lube free nature of the propane is also part of the reason I use it as it improves consistency/doesn't coat your hop rubber in silicon quite as badly.
  21. I have one I use and it's definitely worth shimming if you want to use it at any range otherwise as you say it makes the point of aim a bit inconsistent. in the end I used the stock flash hider and had a shim 3D printed which makes the whole thing a lot more solid.
  22. just added a few bits to my VFC MCX
  23. nice, I completely missed that one!!! and now to do some googling...
  24. so I notice angry gun uploaded some new bolt designs the other day... and I'm sat here wondering if the branded 416 bolt means they have more things in the works potentially? anyone have any thoughts or info on this?
  25. I use the gun modify version on my A2 (possibly the same OEM?) they work well enough although the selector action is not as crisp as the original TM part. although the wiitech part does look better quality in the photos... I got mine from mle mart. https://www.mlemart.com/gun-modify-steel-cnc-ambi-selector-for-tokyo-marui-m4-mws-g-i-version/
