  3. Where did you eat in Pisa @Asomodai? Because I've lived there for 5 years during my failed attempt at becoming an architect, I was actually born in there and still own the house my parents met and lived in before moving to La Spezia (some 70 kilometres NW of Pisa along the coast, where we still live today), that I now rent to students. The good places are in the old part of the town, mostly in the small alleys between the river and the main train station. Almost none of them make pizza though, they do offer local dishes (a lot of meat, Tuscany is famous for their steaks and meat based dishes) at good prices. The restaurants you see near the tower are really terrible, you might as well eat at McDonald's, you get better food and pay less money..
  4. yo fuck off Heh, can't deny, some places really can't cook for shit.... There are different ways of thinking when it comes to pizza. The true pizza is just tomato sauce, mozzarella di bufala (you could translate that into buffalo mozzarella) and just a couple of basil leaves, thin crust (1/1.5 cm thick, crispy-ish) and the base kinda supports itself when sliced. Fries and wurstels are a common topping for youngsters, vinegar is a thing too when people start putting vegetables on (especially a sour type of salad I absolutely can't remember the name of, coupled with proper parmesan slices). One of my all time favourites is speck (a smoked salty kind of ham) and mascarpone cheese (sweet-ish, to compensate for the speck). There is also a restaurant in my town that recently opened up one in London (called La Pia), they make a softer, thicker kind of pizza that has become a trademark for them (I like it but as with all things, YMMV), and it's basically my town's street food Then of course you see those cunts putting fucking pineapple on pizza and you start hearing voices in your head that tell you to cleanse the earth from such heresy... now that is some heresy. Malta? Wine? the fuck?
  5. Took the striker in a game.

    Cheater club wants to join.

For some reason people called hits when I shot them.

Cheater Club president then proceeds to ignore a full auto magdump from the AAP01 from 4/6 metres.

Ive always wondered about the psychology of the cheater.

It is somewhat soul crushing especially if you've put a decent amount of effort and skill into a good clean shot only for it to be wasted.

This whole concept of "club" play bothers me.  Any group of humans will divide the world into Us (all that is good and pure and holy) and Them (all that is evil and corrupt), until it ends in zealous bloodshed.  This is why decent sites will split up large groups - better to have you shooting at the person that's giving you a ride home.

it's how airsoft works here. Can't really do much about it.

  6. Now, I know fuck all about L85s, but the G&G ETU doesn't really accept 7.4s, as the battery protection is set by the factory for a 11.1v. This means that a 7.4 might get you a whopping 3 bbs before being recognized by the ETU as depleted, cutting the power off. That's why they recommend 11.1s..
  7. Skara

    Gg Rk47

A 7.4v LiPo will stress the gun less than a 9.6v NiMh. 11.1v LiPos, on the other hand, aren't recommended for a stock gun without any sort of mosfet, as they tend to wear the trigger contacts much faster than other batteries. So, as long as you use a 7.4, you're good to go.
  8. Some deans. I thought I did the smart thing with XT60s, but then I started using GATE mosfets..
  9. ConCamo would like to have a word with you
  10. Oh well at least he accepts broken JG 552s in exchange
  11. So, had a night outdoors game yesterday, the AK performed flawlessly, the range with the MR-Hop is ludicrous on 0.28s, and it cycles smooth as silk.

The AAP01 with the new rubber and 0.3s was used as a sniper rifle, haven't used full auto in anger yet and in the last game it removed the whole attacking team.

On the other hand, a friend's Titan decided to shit the bed and randomly start firing for no fucking reason :D I mocked him all night..

    1. AlphaBear

      AlphaBear

Is that the same friend who was having problems with his Titan previously? He did clean the optical sensors of grease and gunk and placed a new white strip on the selector plate and then recalibrated the trigger.... right?

    2. Skara

      Skara

his brother but his gun. And yes apparently, he did clean and recalibrate everything..

  12. Haha don't worry, the thread itself is a byproduct of the general boredom caused by no airsoft for like 3 months + stupid hot weather. The microswitch was an extra, I don't mind the standard v2 mechanical trigger really. Just nothing optical as the only time I tried a Titan it annoyed the fuck out of me, the gun firing without any feedback from the trigger really put me off. I wonder if it's worth rewiring the gun to the front, I get much more space for the battery and mosfet, but it'll make the gun more tedious to take down in return... Also haven't decided yet, I have the Specna C02 in the cart at the moment.. Also I reckon I can convert it easily to a Mk18 Mod. 0 with a simple handguard swap. For those who suggested modern looking guns (so floating rails and generally high speed looks), I'm sorry to have wasted your time, but I'm looking for something more old school, let's say I want to go "back to basics".
  13. No, for that one I may actually go full ham on custom made carbon fibre parts and hpa. I have a friend that makes them, along with cnc all the things. I just want an m4 lol. Specna C02 or C04?
  14. Must've worded it wrong. Has to be a specna btw. M4 because I don't want to buy yet another full set of magazines (still have to get more flash mags for the ak). Thanks but no SRC/ICS. SRC I just don't trust them and ICS is a hair too expensive for a base gun.
  15. Hey boiiiiiis. Could've made a status update like I usually do, but for no reason I can't get notifications on status updates, so fuck constantly checking my profile. Anyway, it's been 2 weeks since my birthday has passed and I haven't made myself a present yet (yes I'm that sad), so I was thinking of getting a nice M4. yay what a fucking surprise huh, gotta give me credit for that creativity right? The aim is to have something that: is lightweight - this is pretty important tbf, so polymer body ftw and possibly polymer everything else; is of a decent length - around 10" front end, so it's not a full lenght carbine nor a pistol; comes with robust, no frills internals - no fancy mosfets/ETUs from factory, it's gonna get hard wired for a GATE mosfet (Warfet/NanoHard), QD gearbox with beefy (8mm at least) bushings and has the least amount of proprietary bullshit; is old school looking - no keymod/m-lok bullshit, I have the ARP/HB for those fancy high speed attachments; doesn't cost a fortune - fuck off VFC/KryCrack fanboys, fuck off, go boast your ridiculously overpriced toy guns elsewhere. Internally it's going to stay stock, with the exception of the mosfet and possibly a set of bearings (at 1J it's not going to pull anything more than a M90) and maybe a flat trigger. Also a microswitch instead of the regular contacts would be nice to get a short and tactile trigger pull (in that regard, I'm never going to install a Titan or any optical FCU, like ever, nope, not a chance, nopity nop, nada, niente, non, neineineinein). I like the way my Ares and G&G guns feel when it comes to trigger, just a light but definite "click", plus with a mosfet it's not going to bust itself into oblivion, as it is only needed to send the input to the mosfet. (now that I think about it, I could even buy a V3 microswitch and replace the AK one too... fuck me more money down the drain). So, I'm leaning towards the Specna Arms range, the only problem is: Which one do I fucking choose?
  16. Is it me or the specna arms website has disappeared?

  17. Hold on. Didn't someone already make an airsoft bow thingy some time ago?
  18. Rule of thumb is the heaviest your gun can lift. For CQB you can use .2s as the engagement distances are short anyway and they're cheaper. I use 0.28s on my AEGs when playing outdoors bar the M4 that can only lift .25s despite the prommy flat hop. 0.25s when playing cqb 0.3/0.32s in pistols and sniper regardless of what I'm doing. .25s for tournaments because M4 lol. Speedloader: any will do, if you have the budget then an Odin sidewinder is the best thing ever, I understand that not everyone wants to drop €60 on a speedloader tho. Currently using a cheapo Pmag style one, works just fine. Also have an Odin clone but it keeps dismantling itself every 2 magazines (you get the idea).
  19. on a side note, a FMA safariland QLS adapter just turned up in the mail. I think I ordered it back in February or something and completely forgot about it
  20. Tfw your local retailer is doing R-Hop installs (just fitting the patch and swapping rubber and tensioner) for €85.

    A bit of a scam isn't it?

the only real benefit i can see to the r-hop over a default unit like ml is the ability to have a softer compound on the contact patch and a harder one for the feedlips for a high fps build.

but even then at higher fps you don't need as much spin anyway.

just saves so much hassle dropping a pre-made bucking in and knowing it's going to be positioned and shaped just right.

At the current state, R-Hops are just a way for techs to make some extra money. A lot of money in my tech's case.

But I am pretty sure only a handful of people will get r-hops installed, as everyone plays on .2s and the retailer doesn't stock bbs heavier than 0.25g anyway, so the service makes no sense.

I still keep my range and consistency advantage :D

same here, although i do sometimes wonder if i should really be preaching the benefits of heavier ammo quite so much, don't want the playing field too even......

  21. Softairgames.it San Marino retailer. And yes, so then I can send a mail to Luke telling him the internet man told me AOE is key.
  22. Finally found some fucking sorbothane. Don't worry, it's not going into an AEG to CoRrEcT ThE aOe IsSuEs!1!!!1one! It's going into my sniper to damped the piston cobra slapping the cylinder head. Bought 2x AK C-Clips, some o-rings and another Maple Leaf AEG 50° MR-Hop rubber.
  23. It may be old, but it's good. What we really need is pictures of the gearbox, preferably open If that mp5 is your only gun, I'd honestly just hand it to a tech. Anyway, depending on the internals conditions you may just want to clean it up and reapply some lube here and there. I'd also get a mosfet (no need for those fancy £130+ ones, a GATE Warfet gives plenty of options for customization and doesn't require any sticker in your gearbox), it'll improve the trigger response by miles, other than protecting the trigger contacts from arcing if you use high voltage batteries. New hop rubber maybe? The ICS I had was kinda meh, it gave good seal but couldn't really lift anything past .25s FPS depends on what you're getting atm, if you're clocking at 330 there's no need to push for 350 as the range/consistency difference is negligible. Higher RPM, if you have the turbo3000 motor, chuck it away as hard as possible and put something better in it (idk, a Lonex A1/A2)
  24. How a piston jams bbs is beyond me btw. Glad that you found the issue
