  1. Don't start him off again?
  2. I think there's also a couple of regular members who still have the ability to ban spammers etc, when I was one I used to refer to us as the demi-mods. We were kept busy lol
  3. To be fair there's no category on this forum that has even a tenuous link with witch-doctor potions etc, but that didn't stop them bombarding us with posts. I think these prats just look to get in absolutely anywhere with their bs posts, in the hope that someone clicks the link either out of curiosity, or shits & giggles, which I'm guessing then opens the door to phishing viruses etc. But we're definitely getting a lot less reports of moody sales, or even the Wanted ads being targeted. Makes me think of ny when rudy gulliani was mayor, he insisted the police target all crime, even littering, the direct result was all crime, even the serious stuff went down, the thought process being that if you can't get away with even the minor stuff, what chance have you got with the bigger stuff. Here even other members are pointing out rule 5 infringements, maybe that very public show of community vigilance is making scammers think twice ??
  4. It should probably say: "GHK owners, to save time, post your classified ad straight to Macks, thank you for your cooperation you dreamers" ?
  5. He's free to price it how he likes, although he's had it for sale for a long time so clearly no one agrees with his price. But rule 5 breach, that gets a warning & the thread deleted?
  6. He's obviously pulled a sickie ????
  7. Don't tell me.........motorcycle ?
  8. Welcome youngster, I can say that, I turned 57 two weeks ago, thankfully in my head I'm still 12, like the rest of em here ?
  9. Forget trying to repair it, you could put an ad in the "parts wanted" section, bound to be members who have upgraded to metal bodies have these sitting in the spares box ?
  10. Lol, mine too, watches every kind of shite, mafs uk/us/au/nz, I go to bed some nights with earplugs in cos she tries to tell me about it, like I give a feck?
  11. I never make up my mind before I do or buy anything............... I have a wife that does that for me ?
  12. You were doing so well Josh, great advice, right up until you mentioned Licking Cumstain, that guys an embarrassment to everything airsoft, probably the worst advert for us.
  13. To echo the man above, start with a reasonable brand aeg, but maybe try to be a sniper, limit yourself to single shot with no secondary shots for 5 to 10 seconds, work on utilising cover & concealment. If you find yourself double tapping people & feeling the urge to move up to stay in the fight, then sniping may not be ideal for you, so consider the dmr role which is good compromise between sniping & the assault role, but with the ability to up your fps a wee bit at most sites, as long as your rifle cannot fire full auto.
  14. Hey Andy, welcome, exactly how "new" to airsoft are you ?, played many games ?, own any guns yet ? The reason I ask is many people like the idea of being a sniper, fueled by movies, YouTube, or video games, but the airsoft reality is very different. For starters, while the fps limits at most sites for snipers are a bit higher than those of regular aeg's, up to 50%, that's not guaranteed out of the box, nor is accuracy & range, sometimes even a reasonable brand needs a bit of time & money invested in it to be worth using. Then there's the style of play, a mix of fieldcraft, patience, & a particular mindset will decide whether sniping is for you. & then, even if you've ticked all those boxes, does where you play lend itself to sniping, plenty of cover with long sight lines etc. All things to consider ? EDIT: in case your not aware, fps in airsoft is a bit like hp in cars, a 50% increase in power doesn't equate to the same percentage increase in performance, far from it, even when harnessed properly.
  15. That's quite a low limit for a dmr option I think, do the laws on fps differ north of the border ?
  16. Too hot to DMR it ???????
  17. Credit where credits due, he did manage to get one picture the right way up?
  18. Lol, we still think your speshul ?
  19. Weirdly enough, the "traditional" rifle stock shape of the M14 seems to suit me better (at least in the dmr role anyway), whereas if I'm clearing buildings etc, then rifles with vertical pistol grips are a better fit. I think it's just what you get comfortable with, maybe a certain amount of muscle memory, all my younger marksmanship training & live firing was on traditional stocked rifles, mainly 7.62 & .303, guess it's like riding a bike, you never really forget.
  20. I remember when dmr's were becoming a "thing", quite a few sites announced that they had to have an irl equivalent, but that was many years ago, lot of the sites & organisers I frequented are gone, so not sure who now specifies that rule. I did agree with it though, as Jez pointed out above, some players just take the piss, a big scope doesn't make an M4 a dmr, nor does a box mag make it a support weapon. ?
  21. M14 all day long?
