  1. Weirdly enough, the "traditional" rifle stock shape of the M14 seems to suit me better (at least in the dmr role anyway), whereas if I'm clearing buildings etc, then rifles with vertical pistol grips are a better fit. I think it's just what you get comfortable with, maybe a certain amount of muscle memory, all my younger marksmanship training & live firing was on traditional stocked rifles, mainly 7.62 & .303, guess it's like riding a bike, you never really forget.
  2. I remember when dmr's were becoming a "thing", quite a few sites announced that they had to have an irl equivalent, but that was many years ago, lot of the sites & organisers I frequented are gone, so not sure who now specifies that rule. I did agree with it though, as Jez pointed out above, some players just take the piss, a big scope doesn't make an M4 a dmr, nor does a box mag make it a support weapon. 😏
  3. I'm a big believer in when it comes to quality products, tm guns & Honda cars & bikes for example, great products with excellent r&d, they need to be left alone until something actually breaks. They invest a LOT in getting it right, who are we to think we can improve that ??????🤔
  4. Needs to be your username, not your own name, bigger would be good too🥸
  5. Don't you love those noob posts, "just ordered my first gun, play my first game next week, what upgrades should I get" 🤦‍♂️🤣
  6. Welcome back, to be honest it's not changed much in the 4 years you've been away. More info is needed if you want the best advice, budget, style of play, cosmetically what you like the look of, even your size & fitness level could be a factor, not gonna recommend an m14 ebr (for example) if your 5ft2 & 8st when wet🤔
  7. Your asking people here to help you break the law, not happening. I'm redacting & locking the thread, put another up like it & you'll be banned.
  8. The dimensions are show on the link you added to your first post.
  9. If you bought it from componentshop & the size differs from what is on their website, then return it for replacement for one thats the correct dimensions ? alternatively if you measured the internal size of your stock tube, & subsequently ordered the wrong size, contact them & politely ask for a return/exchange, but be prepared for a "restocking" fee etc ?
  10. Just watched a bit of "her majesty's secret service", lots of sterling's on show 😘🤤

      novioman

One of the best early Bond films I think.

  11. At least the deluded seller was honest enough to mention that it was a "former" two-tone, in case a buyer, say stevie wonder 😎 for example, didn't spot it ffs 🤣
  12. Lol, it's good having you here Jez, people thought I was the hanging judge when I banned twats, but you make me look like a bleeding heart liberal 🤣
  13. That'll be why they'll recieve an official forum warning on their profile at the same time, hopefully they'll then be able to figure it out for themselves 😏
  14. Yep, initially it doesn't impact them but it does show everyone that their naughty boys, girls, & them/they (aka hpa & dsg wankers 😜), & highlights repeat offenders. It's time 🙏
  15. Feck it. I'll start now too.......you issuing warnings too ?
  16. I'm getting ready to unleash hell.........almost there........
  17. A few years ago a friend of a friend bought one of these, definitely bulldog brand m4 type, but unsure of model, even though I'd warned him to speak to me before buying anything, he didn't listen, spent about £150 on what was being marketed as a "ready to play starter gun", & then played a few games. It went bang pretty soon after, I get asked would I look at it, but told him you'd be better returning it under warranty, can't remember the reason he then gave me but apparently returning it wasn't an option, so I agreed to have a look at it, repair if possible, failing that salvage whatever I could. He drops it round in a bag, remember at this point I've not seen it, & knew nothing about it. OMFG🤯 It was like a child's toy you'd buy for £15 at an obscure Sunday market, other than being m4 shaped it had nothing remotely like what we would call an m4, even the most basic rifle that the cheapest recognised manufacturers might sell looked like a systema in comparison. It didn't strip per se, just lots of screws up & down the body, & even though I was disgusted by it & was struggling to control the bile at the back of my throat, I went ahead & took it apart, in the forlorn hope I'd spot something simple that could be put right & not break this fellers heart, knowing what he'd paid. An hour later I told him to come & get it, handed him his bag & said sorry, couldn't be fixed, when he asked was anything salvageable I pointed that all the little screws were in a sandwich bag, & he might find a use for them one day, but everything else, even the mag & battery, should be binned & if he ever bought again without talking to me first, he was to delete my number from his contacts. Seriously, they are an abomination & should be banned from all insured sites & buyers neutered, it's the only way to reduce their numbers.
  18. Afternoon guys, while we appreciate some of you have embraced the recent rule changes with no issues, we're still getting new members that are failing to read the rules (& probably won't read this😏), as well as a lot of existing members that are renewing ads that existed before the December 1st rule change, but haven't updated their pictures with at least one picture showing items for sale & the inclusion of a piece of paper with the username & date handwritten on it. For anyone who can't be arsed, don't worry, we'll also get to the point soon where we can't be arsed to send reminders, we'll just nuke the threads, never to be seen again. What also needs to be considered is that some of the notes are written in the smallest handwriting with pens with tiny tips, we don't have spectrum microscopes to blow them up in order to be able to read them, so bigger writing with something like a sharpie marker would be great. If in doubt, consider if you were the buyer & you couldn't make out the name, you might not bother enquiring further. Everyone needs to get on board with this, irrespective of time here & forum feedback, we've seen a marked decline of scam attempts reported so hopefully this is starting to make a difference. Thanks for your continued support 🙏
