There'll be a knot in the elastic somewhere at the rear of the pouch usually, sometimes hidden within a pocket sealed by velcro, usually just a matter of tieing it tighter. Something contentious now, if your running an expensive top of the line gbbr, with equally expensive mags, why are you using one of the cheapest rigs available, it's a false economy if it starts costing you mags etc. Just a thought.🤔

Not owned 8fields kit, but I've never had a mag, pistol or rifle, fall out of those kind of pouches, so it's probably safe to assume you never had it adjusted tight enough, not a criticism just an observation. As a young squaddie literally 4 decades ago, one of the first things we were taught was once your kit was loaded up, have a good jump around in front of your mates, looking for anything that might make a noise & give you away, & that everything is secure. Good rule of thumb before your next game.

What's a "while on full auto" ?, if your doing more than 3 second bursts max, that's a lot of cycles, & potentially a lot of arcing of trigger contacts ?, hence the smoke. Battery could be an issue also, you said it was rated higher than recommended, nuprol aren't known for great qc, it could potentially be running higher C rating than stated.

Surely in order to dispute the payment with the seller, the option for him to refund is reliant on you being able to return the faulty goods, something you cannot now do. You may have shot yourself in the foot ?
