    Despite being in all day and about 5m from the front door apparently Hermes "Missed you" at 14:02. 

     

    Now it's gone back to the depot for redelivery.

    Ordered a parcel on eBay. Turns out the seller is using Hermes as a courier.

     

    Less than a 50/50 chance of it turning up within the next 6 weeks. :ph34r:

      Yeah, anything over a certain weight or size and I go with ParcelForce. Never had an issue with them.

       

      Anything smaller gets sent via Royal Mail.

      Hermes have always been good in my area, you're at the mercy of whomever covers that postal code. You must just have a crap person covering. Complain enough and they'll sack/replace them.

    Summer's almost here and we're finally getting some sun up North. Time to ditch the camo and play in something a bit more comfortable. Hopefully it will keep up long enough for this weekend!

    I live on the end of the street and have a fairly large back garden with tall hedges around the sides. I still notified my neighbour as you can kind of see into each other's gardens from the first floor. His reaction was 'That sounds cool, can I have a go?'. Obviously this might differ depending on who you speak with but I'd definitely let them know to avoid causing distress. For target shooting I usually just prop up a box on a table at the end of the garden and tape a target to it. Works well enough.

      Don't know what your paying or what you're budget is. We ran a VPS forum for a while and then gave up on it  as other sites tended to hog resources, going for a server of our own. <£25 a month from Kimsufi.com for a pretty high spec system that was our own hardware. So we had complete choice of OS and software to run and build as we like.

      Thanks, but we're fine. I'm just adjusting the resources to account for the new stuff we've added. Devastator has been using DO for years for the forums and I've been using them myself for about the same time on other stuff :)

    Yeah, mine arrived today. Not bad quality, especially for a tenner (or £5 - which is what I paid for em). They haven't updated the status page yet though

    I like how you can get a response within 2 hours when you post publicly but I've been waiting 6 days for a response using their email system. Eh, whatever. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now. Communication has been pants so far though. edit: Oh wait, now I got an email. Exactly the same as you got a few days ago. Copy/Pasted word for word. No ETA.

    That's what I suspect. The lack of communication is a little concerning to me. It's not difficult to respond to an order enquiry and shouldn't take longer than 24 business hours. But then I guess I have pretty high standards when it comes to customer service. If I don't hear anything by Monday I might make a bit more of a fuss.

    Yeah, I sent an email last night asking what's the status of my order. Not heard anything back yet. Was hoping I'd get them by the end of the week for my game on Sunday.
