  1. Yup, they're all equally meaningless, in so much as they profess to waive your rights to redress for injury due to negligence.
  2. Depending which document you read, replicas / imitations are prohibited. Low powered air weapons are the closest to airsoft, but... then there's that. Maaaybe. But if Royal Mail counters have taken the money, you've got an implicit contract with them. Whether a court will enforce it is another question. The other option is to just use whatever courier you fancy, as "sporting goods", with any level of cover you want, and solidly packaged. If they lose it, well, how can they demonstrate what was in the package? For all that people believe and claim that businesses have access to special terms that permit sending of RIFs / airguns / airsoft guns, I've yet to see any evidence of it.
  3. Well, hello and welcome. If you want a game that you can live inside, Red Dead Redemption 2 holds up well.
  4. Excellent! And an understandable mistake. I mean, it's a screw, why wouldn't you wind it in all the way?
  5. You'll be sharply reducing your potential market. Mmm. It is hugely frustrating that the story changes depending which which policy of Parcel Farce or Royal Fail you read, or who you speak to. What I would suggest is that you should describe the item as a "low powered air weapon", not an imitation / replica firearm; and that if you manage to pay at a Royal Fail counter for increased cover the you've formed a contract with them that you should be able to claim against if push really comes to shove.
  6. Not at all? That's... very unusual. Is it (observably) applying hop? Do your local sites test using 0.2g? If they're operating in the 21st century, I'd highly encourage thinking in terms of Joules, using the weight of BB that you intent to use, and ideally with the hop dialled in to lift it.
  7. Well, I'm going to agree with you more than you agree with me. I think they're solid performers that tend to work really well out of the box, and have great quality plastic. A decent dial hop is better than a sloppy rotary. If you can find one that's competitively priced, they're still worth a look, it was just shocking when the price went rocketing up while (e.g.) Jing Gong and CYMA stayed down, and Specna and Lancer Tactical started adding rotary hops, QC springs, mosfets and such. I hope they come back down in price again.
  8. Perfectly solid choices. The G&G Raiders have long been regarded as decent guns, although the price crept up while other brands added features. However, what actually matters isn't whether a gun has a rotary or dial hop, but how well it works, and the G&Gs tend to work very well indeed right out of the box. They do indeed feel great in the hand as well. One thing, the Specna will come with two springs: an M120 which is too spicy for UK use, and an M90 which will be fine (although perhaps a little lower than might be ideal for woodland). A decent shop will have fitted the M90 rather than sending you home with a hot gun. If Santa checks the box, he should find another spring in there, and a packet which (if I remember correctly) is marked M90. If the packet hasn't been opened, then the M90 is in the packet and the M120 is in the gun, and needs swapped out. If the packet is opened, that suggest the M90 is already in the gun.
  9. 100% you need optic protection. I've had a sight and two camera lenses shot out, before I figured out that BBs like to home in on any small, round, fragile pieces of glass.
  10. I can barely keep one wife happy, let alone six! 😮
  11. Come on, m8, play the game, m8, make me an offer, m8, you know how it's played, m8.
  12. Sure. We have a Classifieds section at https://airsoft-forums.uk/classifieds/ - you might need to make a few more posts before getting access to it (or you might not). Where you list it within there is another question. It's got a bit of everything. Folk tend to list under the highest value component, e.g. the M4 (or the Hi-Capa), but that flags up the issue, that you're looking for someone who wants all of it, and those can be tricky to find. It's more effort, but if you want to get something back, I'd suggest splitting it into: M4 + mags + sight + battery + charger in https://airsoft-forums.uk/classifieds/category/4-electric-rifles/ Hi-Capa + mags + holster in https://airsoft-forums.uk/classifieds/category/7-gas-pistols/ Everything else in https://airsoft-forums.uk/classifieds/category/15-gear/ I get that you'd rather have it all gone at once, but if you list it as all-or-nothing, you're likely to get offers for what people actually want, with everything else considered to be a free gift.
  13. They've long since priced themselves out of the budget end of the market, and I'm not sure why I'd want to look at them in the £200-300 range when EDGE 2.0s and Double Eagle M9XX exist.
  14. Ahoy and welcome back. 1. If you've been out for 7 years, I would have to wonder how likely it is that all 7 of you will stick with it the 2nd time round. So I'd agree with the suggestion to rent, at least for a game or two, to see if this is a renewal of your vows, or a quick booty call. Renting can look expensive, but when you consider that you'd be buying the BBs anyway, it's only actually £10-£15 for renting the gun, plus support for it, for the day. That's cheap compared to trying to sell on any RIF, or worse, an IF. 2. If you do want to buy, I agree with the list above. The cheapest M5xx M4 CYMAs have very cheap plastic bodies (although robust internals), anything above that from those brands will be fine. Baofengs UV-5Rs are decent but contain more functionality than needed. They can be programmed by hand, although it's somewhat time consuming. A £7 programming cable (eBay can provide) makes it easier, and allows downloading the same frequencies to multiple handsets. If you want to skip all that, they do a simpler range that's locked to the PMR frequencies. 3. Dunno, DPM is best P.
  15. Could be midcap syndrome, just too much pressure on the nozzle. Do you get the same behaviour with a hi-cap, or a nearly empty midcap? I've not tried it, but I'm intrigued by the idea of using a tapered punch to (very!) gently flare the cylinder head so that the nozzle sits more securely on it without weeble-wobbling. I mean, you might need a delayer, but I prefer to start at the front and work backwards.
  16. Typical airsoft player: Semi-conductor-seriously though: supercapacitors + NiMH? Seems a bit like...
  17. You've kept that quiet. And yes, to re-iterate, the FLEX, CORE, and EDGE Specnas are all much of a muchness. I won't even list the detailed differences as they actually alter depending on the phase of the moon. EDGE 2.0 with the Gate Aster, or Double Eagle M9XX with their Falcon fire control system, is where you'll get features like burst mode, pre-cock and active brake (which can help if you go for a battery spicier than a 7.4V) And that's not to say that you can't add a well featured mosfet to a more basic gun later. The best gun is the one that puts a smile on your face, and I have as much or more fun playing with "worse" guns.
  18. Specna FLEX will be fine, and those Fire Support ones are a genuine bargain. The performance will be on par with a rental G36. They both have decent rotary hops, everything else is functional, but could be better. To get anything noticeably better I reckon you'd have to go to a gun with a fire control system like a Double Eagle M9XX series, or a Specna Arms EDGE 2.0, but you'll pay significantly more. You'll always want to be fiddling around, but it won't necessarily produce hugely better results. The FLEX will take all of the common parts like motors, hop rubbers, barrels, gears and such if you want to go that route. Or, with some more experience, you might end up relegating them to backup guns and go another route like AK, MP5, a G-gun, or whatever tickles your fancy. You'll rarely regret having a light, reliable, basic and unmeddled M4 in the bag or boot.

    Hello, goodbye.
  20. Welcome back. You won't know until you've shot it a bit, but I wouldn't be paying a generic "tech" to do generic tasks. Some specific individuals are good at some specific tasks, but you'll be paying £40+ an hour, so you'll to want to be sure that it's needed. Lithium batteries tend to survive well with some charge in them, so I wouldn't fret about them either, I'd just charge them in an Explosion Containment Pie Dish the first time and keep an eye (and a hand) on them. If you're in any doubts about getting through the day, a new battery wouldn't be a crazy expense. I'd bin any bio BBs that you have, magdump the .25g, and agree with going up to 0.28g if your hop can lift them. The spring might have weakened, it depends how compressed it was. There's only one way to find out. Airseal is what would concern me, and only to the extent of pulling the thing apart and putting a small squirt of silicone spray (or oil) into the nozzle and letting it soak into the piston o-rings for a while, then doing some bursts of auto fire until it's blowing entirely clear before re-assembling. Check the hop rubber for stiffening or cracking while you've got it apart. Maple Leaf rubbers (and Omega nubs, or the SHS equivalent) perform pretty well in most guns. https://ak2m4.co.uk would be our go-to recommendation for any parts that you need.
  21. I've taken pity on the chap and told him what he should actually be asking. I await the "I noew wut its wurth all day long m8".
  22. That package is £155 delivered, brand new, from various BBgnus sellers. What makes your example with worn sears and stoppers worth £100 more? Are the extra BBs actually pearls and rubies?
  23. From experience, the AA R17 mock-Glock is decent for the (very low) money. From observations, the R608 has (or had) one fragile part that doesn't stop it working. There's no airsoft brand that I've used that I would give an unqualified recommendation for, as... That's a realistic view. If I wanted to minimise surprises, I'd spring the little extra for a TM pistol, simple as. I've tried a TM G17 and the trigger is much crisper than my AA. But... they both sling BBs downrange. It's airsoft, everything is a daft waste of money.
