  1. The big caveat is that GBBRs can be very frustrating with limited ammo compared to the hi-cap magazine army. Especially the ones who take several hits to admit defeat. Milsim games generally have more GBBR players I believe
  2. I personally wouldn't run 11.1 on a stock gearbox. At least it should be properly shimmed, radiused, cleaned and re-greased first. As @Tackle said, it'll likely shorten the life of the gearbox and may cause more damage than a 7.4 if something does fail.
  3. Sounds like stripped piston (Teeth on piston rack) I wouldn't expect it to happen so soon either but if they say its out of warranty then you can fix yourself and check everything out at the same time.
  4. Welcome mate. Many of us started alone and quickly met up with others. Check out: https://playairsoft.uk/ For sites near you. Give it a go and rent for the three games to get UKARA registered. Be patient and research buying gear or you may have regrets.
  5. You'll have to be careful what you buy to equip both of you for £300. You should definitely rent until you get UKARA registered otherwise you will regret spending all your money on coloured guns.

    gas again

All Airsoft gas is Propane based but has been processed to remove most of the smell and has Silicone oil mixed with it. Going by power the list goes like this: 144a.........For NBB and TM plastic slide pistols. Green.......Most common general use gas Red...........Higher power for Winter use Black........Highest power for very cold Winter use Pure Propane can be used with an adaptor and is between Green and Red in pressure. It has no lubricant and stinks. Co2 is MUCH higher pressure than any bottled gas at around 800-900psi. (Green gas is around 300psi) Pistol must be designed to use Co2 for parts to be strong enough.

    gas

Yeah, its the common problem for all gas operated weapons. In cold weather the gas does not expand as vigorously so loses power. Therefore Red gas is recommended for Winter use as its compressed to a higher pressure in the bottle. But do not use it when the temperature warms up as it will be over powered for use in games and possibly damage components.
  10. (By god man, you must have been desperate to get one at current prices ?) Nice loadout Tho its easy to tell you're a re-enactor... Too clean ?

    Sight

Hey Snuff, I've got one of each and I can say that the middle one is the easiest and clearest to use. The others obscure the target somewhat and if they're not magnified it reduces their effectiveness. If you do look for a magnified one I would suggest not going over 2x
  12. Yes, you can legally sell it but its an air pistol that fires lead pellets so not Airsoft and can't be sold on this forum. Try Guntrader, Shootmart or Gunstar Not sure about legal details of second hand air pistol sales. Might need to be face to face to validate age etc.

    pistol

Why particularly non-blowback? Presumably for more POWER... As our strange looking @heroshark stated, the MK23 (several makes) is generally regarded the standard. Keep in mind its very large with the suppressor and a blowback is arguably more fun. Yes, the power is higher than most blowbacks but the AAP01 is a good contender and range/accuracy doesn't just depend on power. Also as @Cr0-Magnon said, you don't actually use them that much really.
  14. Yep, above 20rps is pushing it. As you stated, the Firehawk has a short barrel and you've already gone up to an m115. You could try an m120 but you're unlikely to get much more range from it. Try to change your game and sneak in closer to your enemy. Or add a suppressor to allow a longer inner barrel.

    Your battery is low...
  17. Yep, they're legit ?
  18. https://playairsoft.uk/ ?
  19. Yep ? (Check the dimensions just to be sure it fits)
  20. Nice! ? But no idea on value. Look up any other memorabilia signed by him and then add the cost of the rifle to that...?
  21. Welcome ? Don't worry about joining a group. Most of us started as loners. Do plenty of reading to get an idea what its all about and then book yourself in a game as a rental to start. Get talking to people at the tables and after a few game days you'll be in a group of regulars. Have a look here for sites near you. https://playairsoft.uk/
  22. Looks good to me. Might give your position away with the glinting ?
  23. We await your fondling report...
  24. Yeah, coiled cable sounds like a good idea but in practice the resistance is too high and it would become a nightmare with the coils getting twisted out of alignment like the old telephone cables.
