They do on all the replicas that I have which feature one, though personally that's one feature I don't care about actually working; but hey if the objective/want is more along the replication lines than just shooting bbs at 40m I do get it.

The only tricky thing with the chinese optics is figuring out which actual OEM you're buying from, as on the one hand there's clearly only 1-2 places physically making a given item in most cases, but the sellers are allllll over the place with naming and descriptions (making it seem like there's 50 factories churning out the same thing), not to mention pricing.

This is the example I just bought, only just came in the other day so hasn't been used, but it passes the initial inspection.

At the time of writing I only found one proper replica still up on AliEx, which is worth considering as the site policies are surprisingly pretty tough on sellers. I don't buy much on there, only some of my optics, but in my limited experience so far with something turning up damaged, you'll likely be quite well covered if there's a problem. Don't know if the same applies with the direct sale sites (haven't tested it).

After discovering my VFC SCAR-Hs have an NPAS from the factory (🥳) i made an adjuster tool to make it easier to tweak through the ejection port rather than stripping it down every time.

Looks fuckin' sweeeeeeeet. Is it a VFC GBBR?

It is indeed. I wanted the AEG from last year ish but was advised it wouldn't compare to my hpa dmrs and to hold on for the gbbr for the realism feels

Since having the MTW's although they are awesome guns the micro-switch trigger kinda makes them too efficient and makes playing almost too easy and sterile.

Then i had a kythera fitted into my TR16 and the real trigger felt soo nice I've been using that ever since. Now I've fallen into the gbbr rabbit hole with the spear too i was intending to use both on the hpa system, but now i'm leaning for the gbb mags. But fuck me they're expensive! We'll see, no rush

Did you shorten said winter springs to 230mm?

No, i just swapped 'em straight in. Assumed the softer rate would offset against the longer 300mm length. I'm guessing i should?

  5. I'm not sure if i'm going to be much help here... Very new to GBBR, and not exactly a whizz with hpa either!

This is an APFG MCX Spear, which i believe is based/made by VFC.

Its got the Airtac VFC adapter in it with a PTS short 170rnd mag.

Plays nicely at 120psi on the regulator which is handy as my DMR's are set to that too. The npas was removed as it fell out whilst tinkering and i've not bothered to put it back in yet. Ive since fitted the winter springs as recommended on this forum but i appear to be getting bolt bounce so may swap these out and/or refit the npas.

I've not used it in game yet so ive no idea how it will perform. Thinking of spraying the adapter tan to blend it in a bit too

Nice! although i'm biased as i have one too - what/where/from the suppressor? Does it fit the supplied flash hider?

  7. Not sure if this is what your after but an alternative belt set up below

TT_belts two part rigid belts fitted with 5.56 on the black and 7.62 on the MC.

The black one shows 3x rifle mags, 1x pistol, bfg holder, dump pouch, MHA with deadly customs holster and shaw concepts padded thingy.

The Mc one is currently in winter mode so the hpa tank gets moved onto the plate carrier along with 1x rifle mag. image.thumb.jpeg.7cbd9b9617c6fb3fa9e22af62529c47f.jpeg

Both belts allow me to run kit off/away from my torso allowing me to keep cool with just a t-shirt on. Work well as i dont tend to run much when in game

    Okay all great news,

I have done it… the mcx now has crazy good consistency and the bb trajectory is perfect each time.

ive done this by putting a unicorn barrel, bucking, omega nub and winter springs in. The stock springs are way too strong and especially for English weather. The stock springs end up pushing the bb with too much force that it gets placed unevenly in the hop rubber leading to inconsistent hop. The winter springs solves this and make the gun overall nicer to manipulate.

    the winning combination is:

    200mm 6.03 unicorn gbb barrel

    60 degree unicorn gbb bucking

    GSI hop arm

    maple leaf omega nub

    bow master vfc npas

    Jwi hop unit

    winter springs

the winter springs are the one from the airsoft chay video and are a following:

    Length: 300mm
    Wire Diameter: 0.6mm
    Outer Diameter: 8mm

Just got one, thanks for the research and info. I'm not on discord so any other tips n tricks are welcome

  9. Not sure if this helps. I have Revision Sawflys and like you i now need to run the lens insert to help my fading vision. I sent the insert off to lensology who quoted £29 to fit the required lens into the insert and a 5-7 day turn around. The should be back with me tomorrow. So if the old insert doesn't fit the new glasses, at least there's an option to get them sorted reasonably quickly and pocket friendly too

Was a soggy mess at High Wycombe on Sunday but unlike RIFT in Barton, it actually made some games better....hoping the camera lass caught some of my COD style slides for cover on film.

My lower legs and backside were in a right state by the end of the day.  At least I had the foresight to put a dust sheet in the car to protect the seats.

I was there too, ghreat day and made more interesting with the trees being felled so changed the map entirely. We were both a muddy mess at the end of the day!

Did you get any good photos?

Pic dump of my latest child.

TM MWS in a Fortis receiver with B.A.D & Strike Industries furniture, other than the F1 grip.

Last pic was with a Vortex Venom in a Strike Industries REX, but would benefit from a riser. The trigger box pin & anti rotation links weren't installed in that photo.

Went a little over budget with this one, a couple of times, but it worked out!

Need footwear advice. I struggle with shit feet. Narrow and fallen arches, plantar fasciitis. I use orthopaedic insoles but still suffer. I do plan on seeing a podiatrist in the new year.

I’m currently using Lowa Zephyr GTX mids but my feet still kill me at the end of a game day. I am thinking a more trainer like boot might be good for me. I tried on a Salomon X Ultra 4 mid and found them to be quite tight even with my narrow feet. Also the toe box dug into my toes when kneeling. Now looking at the Adidas Terrex Goretex models. Does anyone else use these or have any other suggestions? Thanks

Hi, cant comment on foot problems as i dont have any, but i have the adidas terrex in trainer and boot form. Wore the boots today after breaking them in last week and they have performed really well. Feet comfortable and dry all day, the open tread pattern dealt with the wet mud on site really well. Wore a decent pair of socks too
