What have you just 3d printed (for airsoft)
mightyjebus replied to sp00n's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
I need to shape the magazine spring and get the internals working and if that goes well I might start to replace parts with metal bits. -

Thanks for reminding me I need to finish my one! -
The 'What have you just bought' Thread
mightyjebus replied to Cameron364's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
it's a slippery slope, before you know it you will be making 4 AK74's with wooden furniture with the 4 different wood types issued over the years or making sure the AIMS side folder has the correct lever or button to fold depending on which version you want to model. -
It looks good however weight will be an issue and this is the same for the Quake. The Frag C is a better choice if you plan to run more than one as once you get to 3 or more it because quite a weight to carry but the Frag is much lighter and carrying 6 or more is about the same as 3 Quakes. The only advantage of the Jaeger or Quake is the multi shot options which isn't available for the Jaeger yet. The downside to multi shot is you need to retrieve the bang before using it again whereas carrying a few Frag's means you don't have that issue.

early work in progress of a replacement top slide for the TM FN FNX 45. Externals are basic as I'm more interested in getting the internals sorted first. Might make a Glock style upper for shits & giggles once it's a working prototype. -
Poor mans Sig MPX, a Stribog SP10A3. Weirdly also a poor airsofter's MPX as the VFC sig MPX is 500 quid but you can get the Stribog for £190.

G2/3 NVG's can see 850 and 940. 940 is about 40% dimmer than 850 when viewed by NVG's. The output power is the same but just looks dimmer. Only advantage of 940 is if you are trying to be sneaky over large areas as someone spotting will have more difficultly seeing 940 after 300 meters. For airsoft a 850 is cheaper and probably the best option.

Well I thought I'd never see one of these and always hoped someone would make one. Looks like Double Eagle will be releasing a Mini 14 AEG in November. https://www.octagonairsoft.com/product-page/double-bell-mini-14-aeg-full-semi-auto

very good site and very well run. Averages 90 to 120 players every game and enough doors, path, stairs and other ways to move around without any bottle necks. Combat South have a express shop on site with everything from AEG's, Pyro, BB's Gas, torches, rigs and everything else in-between. Shop is open on the Saturday before a game day as well. Food truck on site selling burgers, hotdogs, drinks etc. Make sure you have boots with ankle support and a torch and tracer are a good idea as some bits are dark. I'm normally helping out in the shop, a bit like a shop dog, but spend my time breaking peoples guns and making up lies about how good a bit of kit is but that's ok as no one understands what I'm saying because of my Glaswegian accent. In you get there in November pop into the shop and say Hi and I'll show some good places to get a sneaky kill or 2.

Great shop and great staff. been using them for 20 years and always had the best experience. They have even managed to source some unicorn Marui parts over the years for me when even the Japanese shops have failed.

I've got both the Burns rifles as well but never bought the Golgo when it was first released and seeing the price of them now makes we wish I had. Sadly only got the 1 resident evil pistol which is the chrome sig 226 with the extended mag

yup, got the name wrong and should have probably looked at the one I have here!

The limited edition Tokyo Marui rifles are quite collectable. The XM177 isn't one of them as it was a normal run AEG back in the day. Have a look at the GOLGO 13, Burns M653, AK Spetsnaz or any of the resident evil pistols. The Burns rifle is an interesting one. It came in 2 flavours, fixed or sliding stock and the story goes it was released after the movie Platoon and was meant to be the main character "Barnes" rifle but somewhere along the line someone messed up the translation. The AK is just a AK Beta Spetsnaz without a stock but this was released at a time when there wasn't 500 Chinese clones.

TM AK102 NGRS. Bought 2nd hand and thought I'd gotten a bit of a deal but turns out the previous tech work was very damaging. It looks like the original problem was the little nub that allows safe, semi, full auto had snapped but instead of fixing or fitting a new nub the tech had modified the selector plate, cut a new full auto slot in the receiver, removed the plate that stops the trigger from moving on safe and fitted the worlds biggest fuse holder under the front handguard. cue designing and printing a new safety plate, drilling and pinning a new nub into place, fitting a eagle6 AK selector and adding a leviathan, filling in the new selector marking with JB weld and then sanding and painting the receiver. Since I had it in bits I fitted a steel stock catch (TM one has a habit of breaking if you drop the AEG), heavily modified a lower foregrip to fit the NGRS (much drilling, sanding, grinding and then painting). Also fitted a mock Bulgarian flash hider as it came with the AK105 bell flash hider and not the TM AK102 one. It came with a upgraded inner barrel, gears and spring and is sitting nicely at 340 on a .2

Thought this might be of interest to people with the Maruyama ACP9. Looks like it will use the same straight mags. https://www.wgcshop.com/collections/new-arrivals/products/my-smg-mp9dx-bk

Nato flak vest with inner and 2 ceramic plates.

I wore the green camo version in Kosovo. The standing joke being we hoped the bad guys were good shots to hit that tiny little plate. -
Can someone help with rough guide to these?
mightyjebus replied to Jonathan7787's topic in Appraisals
yeah I got that wrong which is stupid as I have both here. -

G18 - £90 DE - £110/120 Army SA80 - £80/90 because it's knackered Looks like a Classic Army Mk1 - £300/350 -
could just be bad luck as the part is cast brittle pot metal and broke at a stress point.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

bought from the forum a S&T Japanese Type 64 rifle to go along with my Type 89's. Just waiting for TM to get around to releasing a Type 20.
