  1. interesting GBB to be sure but the hate for Ares on here is crazy. I've got a bunch of Ares stuff in my collection and they are a reliable as most other manufacturers. Terrible to take apart as they seem to be designed by a savant drug addict but on the whole not really much worst that others when it comes to reliability.
  2. been expecting this for a while since they put the mosfet in the MP5. Interestingly the stock tube seems to be free so batteries can go in there and also frees up m4 models that don't have buffer tubes. The micro switch on the black and white wires looks like you will need to charge the weapon every time you change a mag, a bit like the MP5. oh and a Japanese Type 2o GBB is on the way as well.
  3. I'm looking forward to running my with a cigar and telling everyone I love it when a plan comes together.

  5. My chrome one is due to be shipped in December
  6. https://www.sixmm.com/en-gb/products/maddog-g-style-smr-tactical-rail-handguardblk7-0inch?_pos=22&_sid=b6ddf8f1f&_ss=r only 1 left in stock at the time of posting. You'll need a 3d printed barrel shim and if you buy this let me know and I'll give you the file. It gets glued/epoxied inside the barrel nut and keeps the NGRS barrel from falling out
  7. After about 4 different stocks, I finally found one I'm happy with for the Stribog and after way too long I finally found the front rail I wanted for my Recoil HK416C
  8. A couple of thoughts, You are in the Shoei or Trigger happy price doing these as they are very custom with a lot of work to produce. The other thing worth mentioning is that it's most likely a collection piece so a way to remove or hide the HPA hose would be a good idea.
  9. I need to shape the magazine spring and get the internals working and if that goes well I might start to replace parts with metal bits.
  10. Thanks for reminding me I need to finish my one!
  11. it's a slippery slope, before you know it you will be making 4 AK74's with wooden furniture with the 4 different wood types issued over the years or making sure the AIMS side folder has the correct lever or button to fold depending on which version you want to model.
  12. It looks good however weight will be an issue and this is the same for the Quake. The Frag C is a better choice if you plan to run more than one as once you get to 3 or more it because quite a weight to carry but the Frag is much lighter and carrying 6 or more is about the same as 3 Quakes. The only advantage of the Jaeger or Quake is the multi shot options which isn't available for the Jaeger yet. The downside to multi shot is you need to retrieve the bang before using it again whereas carrying a few Frag's means you don't have that issue.
  13. reminds me a bit of the Singaporean SAR I had a fiddle with in Afghan.
  14. Seen these 2 at the REME museum in Lyneham at the weekend. Maybe a little project for Darkmikey22
  15. did a bit more work on the FNX slide. Still got a bit to do but getting there. (original broken TM slide at the top)
  16. early work in progress of a replacement top slide for the TM FN FNX 45. Externals are basic as I'm more interested in getting the internals sorted first. Might make a Glock style upper for shits & giggles once it's a working prototype.
  17. Poor mans Sig MPX, a Stribog SP10A3. Weirdly also a poor airsofter's MPX as the VFC sig MPX is 500 quid but you can get the Stribog for £190.
  18. G2/3 NVG's can see 850 and 940. 940 is about 40% dimmer than 850 when viewed by NVG's. The output power is the same but just looks dimmer. Only advantage of 940 is if you are trying to be sneaky over large areas as someone spotting will have more difficultly seeing 940 after 300 meters. For airsoft a 850 is cheaper and probably the best option.
  19. Only if it's Irn-bru
  20. Well I thought I'd never see one of these and always hoped someone would make one. Looks like Double Eagle will be releasing a Mini 14 AEG in November. https://www.octagonairsoft.com/product-page/double-bell-mini-14-aeg-full-semi-auto
  21. very good site and very well run. Averages 90 to 120 players every game and enough doors, path, stairs and other ways to move around without any bottle necks. Combat South have a express shop on site with everything from AEG's, Pyro, BB's Gas, torches, rigs and everything else in-between. Shop is open on the Saturday before a game day as well. Food truck on site selling burgers, hotdogs, drinks etc. Make sure you have boots with ankle support and a torch and tracer are a good idea as some bits are dark. I'm normally helping out in the shop, a bit like a shop dog, but spend my time breaking peoples guns and making up lies about how good a bit of kit is but that's ok as no one understands what I'm saying because of my Glaswegian accent. In you get there in November pop into the shop and say Hi and I'll show some good places to get a sneaky kill or 2.
  22. Great shop and great staff. been using them for 20 years and always had the best experience. They have even managed to source some unicorn Marui parts over the years for me when even the Japanese shops have failed.
  23. I've got both the Burns rifles as well but never bought the Golgo when it was first released and seeing the price of them now makes we wish I had. Sadly only got the 1 resident evil pistol which is the chrome sig 226 with the extended mag
  24. yup, got the name wrong and should have probably looked at the one I have here!
