They do exist. Its probably cost and that they need to be made well with ‘proper’ metal as the stock is hollow. https://youtu.be/rjYn2L1FsKY

I used a pistol HPA setup for some games with a 13ci in a belt pouch. It was a generic pouch and I cut a hole in the top to close it over the regulator. These can also be marketed as water bottle pouches or as ‘dedicated’ pouches available for 13ci & 48ci cylinders (often a general pouch with cross straps to tighten them, and there are also those which are just a grid of webbing straps Pay close attention to specific pouches for what kind of loop/straps are on the back, MOLLE straps can be used to set as a belt loop, but a horizontal pouch will be awkward on a belt

Guns are an essential. It’s then a matter of which guns will suit them (and a sidearm isn’t essential to all players, so depends on site rules such as close up and if they will really switch rather than just end up carrying extra weight : G&G CM16 Raider (+NiMH battery) WE EU27 pistol (+ 2 additional magazines) Charger They ultimately will need BBs, but do they need a starting bulk 15000? Presumably it’s a suitable brand weight that they will use with those guns. But in their package purchase it’s a consumable rather than added value: About 15,000 bb's Are the optics relevant to them? Will they actually use them? Would they choose and use that type/brand/magnification ? Optics Luggage is an essential, hard cases are better than bags, but dedicated cases can also end up meaning that you carry more separate things and find that you need a case for each gun plus a bag for the rest. Are they wanted / needed / desired one day ? Hard Pistol case Hard carry case (100cm) A vest seems essential, something is needed to carry things in game. But will it be one they would choose/use, or one that they will take from the bundle just because it’s included ? Carrier vest Gloves are a wise thing to have and take care of fingers - but would they choose them and very importantly will they fit? Gloves Eye protection is essential. But even though I have numerous sets of goggles, including multiple sets of the same goggles in different colours (even a set in an obscure colour mix that I bought new and still painted for photography & marshaling) There was a point in time that ‘last seasons’ colour schemes went on sale and were the same as or cheaper than new lenses But they don’t need two to start with. Are they ones that they would choose ? Are they in decent condiition? (Lens, straps where applicable Full face masks (x2) In a bundle, to the buyer anything that they would not choose to buy separately has a value of nothing Anything the buyer would use today and replace shortly has some value, but diverts money from what they could be spending on something more preferred People may not be too keen in airsoft, and full face is often for only those under 18 who are required to wear them before going for smaller glasses etc …… But (especially with my background, accompanied by seeing BBs pass peoples ‘eye protection’) …… I recommend paintball goggles, or at least ski mask style goggles Good but entry level paintball goggles cost in the region of £20 - £30 ‘Premium’ paintball goggles can be had for £60 to £100 (and of course more) They need to be tried on to see how the fit is for anyone’s individual head. I have some Valkn/Annex goggles which are the most basic plastic which I bought only for the colour scheme - they fit my head perfectly and are very confortable My preferred goggles are VForce Grills which are a ‘premium’ and I have many sets, others have come out fetching higher prices but don’t suit my head as well (there’s one other that fits me like a glove, but made it to prototype only so are not an option)

@AirSniper If you want all of the stuff then offer what you’re willing to pay If not then don’t. He has the choice to sell partially or as a whole A bundle is handy for a starter, but it’s never what they really want - like @tackle said - it’s a few ancilllary items that you may or may not use, potentially could sell or pass on items But most of these things in bundles end up in the bottom of a bag or back of a cupboard

Cue next thread drift….? Is there a standard in airsoft eye protection? Lens impact protection - yes Under 18s full face protection - yes On top of that - any adult can wear any style of glasses provided they are impact compliant. Hands up everyone who has seen a BB end up inside the eye area of airsof glasses

Absolutely (edit …. I’ve read your interims but will still stick to back slapping each other with ‘absolutely a’ There is no one set of rules in paintball. We have had the UKSPC (scenario paintball community) which is very much forgotten and I ran the first UKSPC compliant event, my rulesets were already in that ball park, and every event since has had them as the core ruleset Even a few years ago an international tournament set the single tournament world ruleset - which had US rules and rest of world rules. (But it was by one US company so everyone got upset in the US) What does matter is where you have highlighted: Standards The basic safety standards, best practice, and complying with the law It was paintballs standards that enabled UKPSF member sites to be recognised under the ministry announcement, Sport England endorsement and then a member site had the processes and paperwork to get clearance from their local council

In the context of the UKAPU, airsoft needs something to represent it. The ABA represented industry and brought in the UKARA But that represents retailers and sites, with player membership Does it or does it not represent the player? Which is where the UKAPU and perhaps others come in In paintball the UKPSF represents all, but has a very long history that precedes the UKPSF, with the original UK body morphing into the European body and the UKPSF becoming a stand-alone - back then it was all one man Active player membership has expanded, and now ticks the box on membership with Sport England (Note that free membership didn’t qualify, but it was a steppingstone along the way) Irrespective of what the UKAPU does or doesn’t do and how it is or isn’t recognised, it is something - and the attention it gets from players on threads like this does help the conversation and motivation

The direction to take with MPs is not about a game of shooting people with gun like things. But if businesses in the recreational sports sector are the tactic then that’s what gets more positive support among MPs Paintball isn’t registered / recognised as a sport …… but Sport England did recognise it as meeting the criteria for reopening during covid. Key to that was the UKPSF as a recognised body, and being known to Sport England - they are not pursuing sports recognition to be in the Olympics etc, but for other benefits and support from Sport England (and other UK sports bodies) and that it brings recognition with local councils etc
-
It needs to be: UK legal on the power (joules …. But measured via velocity FPS and BB weight) Then either an IF or a RiF with a defence IF = over 50% of the body in one of the appointed bright colours RIF = you need to be recognised that your purpose on import is for it to be used for airsoft skirmishing They expect UKARA, but you may or may not get through via your current status

….. and another type at a Mall doorway: the faction leaders who wave at each other through the shop window to have an ‘alliance chat’, and the one who puts his gun down to stroll into the shop door Then gets shot in the top of the head as he ducks below the line of fire, but the shooter at the doorway decides to shoot the unarmed man strolling in * The opposing faction leader then apologizes “Sorry, I haven’t told him not to shoot you yet” and then distract players in the repeated afternoon safety brief with the blood dripping from my head …… “excuse me marshall, that guys head is bleeding” * correct action strictly speaking which I cater for in my own event rules - if you don’t have your hand up then you’re a live player, and could be doing a sneaky move

Definatley …… and is a headache for the UKPSF I have a couple of Umarex pistols myself, which are variants of the home defence types but they are UK legal and are used with paintballs not dodgy projectiles (purchased from reputable UK paintball retailers as opposed to grey imports) These things are bringing the attention of VCRA/RIFs to paintball again, and we’re relying on a good Home Office / police relationship with the UKPSF Read the letter of the law and I do have pre 2007 paintball RIFs of which possession is fine, plus post 2007 RIFs which could technically be a problem to retailers who sold them to me (and private sellers) These are known issues which the UKPSF highlights & looks to protect the game

I don’t think that you’re going to be finding a variety of shops to get into within a day. The market is small I can recommend Super5ives (bearing in mind that I know the owner, and I also am partially to blame for encouraging some of his business decisions) Their warehouse / shop is in Fareham which should be around 2 hours from you https://shop.super5ives.com/shop/category/16-airsoft.p1.html Otherwise I’d be pointing north with 3 or more hours of driving Apparantly there’s an airsoft shop in Northampton, I have no knowledge of the place and it looks to a degree like an army surplus place which will have some airsoft https://www.airsoftcellar.com There is a retailer list on here, but do take care in ensuring that they are still in business and actually have a shop to go to before committing a trip

Euan89 Euan Davidson 33 years old He hasn’t had this years birthday yet? On the very likely situation that this is the same case, the UKPSFs player AGM recently went into more details on why they have brought in their change of stance on paintball and the VCRA (highlighted in last years player AGM The import of home defence types of paintball guns, exceeding UK power limits and non paintball projectiles is coming to the attention of the UKPSF with all the relevant authorities clarifying specifics There are UK legal ones and non legal ones It would appear that Euans lawyer has given good advice and secured a lesser problem for Euan

That’s a key point - but speedsoft is a style of airsoft Its up to sites as to what they have in their games. A Milsim should not include speedsoft - but that does not exclude someone from being light and nimble. (There was a real life battle case where a soldier (marine?) dropped his large pack and ran in and out through gunfire ….. speed-fighter) If a skirmish site primarily runs a regular a local game for local players then the mix of players will be the locals, and they could be a mix of milsilms, dressing up, recreational fun, stacked up queues on the corner, speedsofters etc

The overall article is hard to establish the relevant facts ……. But there appear to be two distinct ‘incidents’ : 1) of importing a RiF (assuming ‘air gun’ means airsoft gun) without a valid defence, an overpowered RIF/IF, or actually an air rifle (subject to a certificate in Scotland) assuming that “UK air soft association” is meant to be UKARA which would back up his belief that it was a legal import, but other statements show that his intention was collection rather than playing assuming that “member of various gun clubs” didn’t equate to turning up at an airsoft site to skirmishes This incident resulted in a visit and confiscation of the import Either importing a RIF and they were not happy with the defence, an overpowered RIF bit subject to the firearms act exemption or an air gun subject to a certificate in Scotland Davidson pleaded guilty to attempting to import an air rifle into the UK on June 6, 2020. 2) A second incident folllowing the reporting of possession of a firearm (PPK) This appeared to have been claimed to be a ‘model pistol’, and has turned out to be an imitation (RIF or replica? Either are legal, but certification is referenced. Was it an air pistol ? He also admitted to possessing a handgun without holding the appropriate certification on February 18, 2021. His solicitors defence in court removes any RIF defence as collecting isn’t a valid purpose, but the primary intent of that legal defence being to show that his client wasn’t an intentional baddie and had assumed everything was legitimate: Mr Smith said Davidson had used inheritance money to “accumulate the collection” and that he was “a collector and not a user”. ……….. It could be overkill, but the first import just resulted in it being refused entry and confiscated - which if it was a RIF is the ‘correct’ result for an imported RIF outside of the VCRA purposes / defences. The second incident following the report of a firearm could be of course a malicious report, but could also be as a result of irresponsible ownership Based on some other threads in recent months involving possession and the police the underlying question would be why they got involved (the import is an obvious reason, and one poster on here has had the police turn up as a result of importing but had a different outcome even though the individuals wider collection was revealed - valid use etc)

There is the turnover factor - there’s a natural cycle of churn. People give up or take a life break ….. and there may or may not be new generations to take over, who may also be going for a different flavour As mentioned above there’s the difference between YouTube playing, regular fun playing and the occasional ad hoc once in a while Post Covid there are different life decisions being made, cost of living affects people etc But also there are those less effected by the cost of living. If you’re a teen with a part time job, small or no rent and no bills other than how you choose to spend the disposable money is still your choice If you’re more affluent then your crisis might be whether or not to cut back on a couple of Proseccos If you don’t have money then you can’t spend it If you have money and need to spend it wisely, you might cut back on a few things, buy cheaper alternatives but have the need for some relief - which might mean a monthly game of shooting people instead of a weekly game, or one or two of your favourite games a year Personally I didn’t do badly under covid, I still worked, didn’t have commuting expenses and now I have partial commuting expenses I shopped, bought shiney things from businesses to support them and still have not got back into a game. I have down my alerts for particular games that are an absolute must (Which are likely to be still not happening this year) plus an emergency contingency game penciled in to secure my need to shoot people Its not necessarily the money, but it’s the experience - there are games that won’t scratch the itch and when I take the time away from the rest of my life activities I want to enjoy it to the best

I had that issue once with a eBay seller who sent with handwritten labels but didn’t put in the long reference number on the label (because it was ‘fine’ with just the name and address) But for a collection point they cannot accept with just name & address, the reference number is needed for them to process in the system There was an additional issue that the garage being used was on a corner and didn’t exist at the postcode - the usual delivery driver knew where to go but stand-ins ‘couldn’t find it’ I therefore had tracking that said ‘location not found’ on the first attempt and ‘recipient refused’ on the second The reference for delivery point acceptance may be the case for you, alternatively if they operate a cabinet delivery point if too many are received on that day then the cabinet may be full or only small cabinets remained

Grrrr its an outrage The Highways Act covers the firing within 50’, and covers ‘any firearm or firework’ The 6 & 12 ft lbs covers low powered air weapons in the firearms act, but still treats them within the firearms definition Even though airsoft fires at a much lower power it previously still qualified as a low powered air weapon / firearm But legislation change exempted compliant airsoft guns from being firearms This could arguably mean that airsoft is legal to fire within 50’ of a highway But the best position to be in is to never test that out. Irrespective of what is being shot a police response could occur, which provided there isn’t idiotic escalation or other offences would generally result in ‘advice’. Police advice can be given in many legal situations in order to avoid worrying the public in the first place Be sensible Don’t be overlooked Don’t be overheard Ensure that every BB is stopped and cannot bounce Be friendly and open with neighbours If there’s any concern then don’t do it

I’ve not seen stories just referring to ‘dressing as terrorists’ I have seen stories of terrorists that have played airsoft / paintball and the slant has been that it was ‘terrorist training/practice’

Seriously - Z patches ?????????? These types are highly attention seeking and pretty much deserve none of it But, if we bear in mind that I live in Salisbury, around the corner from the Skripals, am a friend of the Sturgess family and have interacted with the troll defenders of Putin with their disgusting narratives ………… I would be providing a Z ‘player’ with attention via a considerable sense of humour failure There is a time and a place At least with the SS it was in the region of 80 years ago …… and though taste can be questionable does align with the reenactment element of skirmishing If a player wants any credibility to just playing airsoft re-enacting Russia in the Ukraine war then they ought to be removing all badges and claiming to be 2014 tourists on a trip

I have a foot in both camps - don’t worry about the politicians / legislation creep etc and do worry about them - my greatest fear is “people”, and our greatest defence is our communities As I repeatedly point out, my world and pleasure lies in paintball. I also have an interest in airsoft via events etc. Whats more key are the two points of my passion in encouraging people to try things out, even namby pamby fashion obsessed airsofters, (Especially as my real love of scenario paintball has a direct relationship to airsoft skirmishing) and in “safeguarding” the fun of shooting things The odd anti gun politicians are very vocal, but don’t have as much influence as they may appear to - unless you look at Scotland My greater fear is with the dickheads, and Im very happy when existing legislation is used against them, to a degree I’m mildly happy when they get a slap on the wrist as that can be a sensible “education” but it does come with the risk of it looking like things are too soft and more legislation is required - as opposed to the police / authorities using some common sense and discretion (Sometimes I read articles with a slap on the wrist, education and a statement that “no offence as committed” - that is a get out clause to avoid blaming the police for being soft but is rarely true, and would be more in line with “it’s not in the public interest to prosecute this case with some eduction getting greater benefit”) There appears to be things happening at the moment with either deliberate or ignorant attempts to import “home defence” guns which get referred to the UKPSF (at the moment the relationship between the UKPSF/Home Office/police/customs/border force is working well, and on a parralel a major pyro company have been contacted by the police for many years over misuse of pyro - advising on types of pyro and enabling safe/controled disposal ) There also appears to have been a “surge” in threads about airsoft/home defence/paintball being found & seized in “non standard” circumstances ……. one of my usual rambling posts - we should maintain an eye out on national and international things, condemn the wrong doers and advise the inquisitive On the face of it, in my opinion, “we” have nothing to fear with a US version of the VCRA and I can see good reasons for them getting one. But that doesn’t mean we bury our heads in the sand

There are two key points there …. “A few legitimate reasons” and “need” There is only ever a “need” for anything due to a “few legitimate reasons” There are valid “needs” for firearms, and there are also valid “wants” for firearms. Those are what the licencing process look at, and under the wider umbrella of firearms as defined by legislation there are those that do not require any licence/certificate/membership
