well most slings will allow you to draw your seconday easily, that's half the point of them. Where do you mount your sidearm? the choices with an MP5 are slightly more limited than AR's but you can still get good slings. You can either get a decent one point sling and get a strong keyring to put through the rear sling mount so you can mount it there or find one that can go through the sling mount on its own. If you're dead set on having it go through the stock I would suggest trying to get your hands on an original H&K MP5 sling from somewhere on a foreign ebay, I think mine cost £15 plus 5 postage factoring in the exhange rates. They are great quality, keep it nice and close to you when 'dropped' as it were and easy to mount. Here's an example of one, although a bit pricey: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Heckler-and-Koch-HK-MP5-3-Point-Green-Canvas-Sling-a-/301848409720?hash=item4647913678:g:cuoAAOSwo3pWfysc And here's the whole page http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.XMP5+slin.TRS0&_nkw=MP5+sling&_sacat=0 Don't completely disregard the 'international sellers bit, that's where I got mine, think it was Slovenia or somewhere

Whilst I agree with that whole article I would just like to pick up on the 'you have to have been directly threatened with violence' part. I'm not going to try and correct you becuase it is partly true, more of a clarification I feel. You do not have to be 'directly threatened' as you say all you have todo is FEEL threatened. What I mean by that is that if someone says "I'm going to f***ing kill you" then advanced on you with one or more hands concealed you would be well within your rights to put them on their arse until you perceived they were no longer a threat. However they don't have to say the words, if someone is advancing on you and you feel threatened you can 'defend' yourself with 'necessary and proportiante' force. It does seem like a huge loophole because most people could claim self defence for any minor fight but most people don't know this part of the law, now where this loosely ties in with this thread [trying to stay on topic slightly :L] If someone breaks into your house and you end up face to face with them you can take them on first and still claim self defence but as you said don't go overboard and you should be fine legally. I have had to use this defence at work a few times [thankfully never in my home] and it has worked everytime so don't be afraid to defend yourself/property/family, altough it sometimes seems the legal system is against us law-abiding cittizens in these situations it can work in out favour (: anywho like I said not disagreeing with you in anyway Kurtz just thought I should clear that up as it's one of the small smatterings of knowledge I have managed to tuck away and keep over the years amongst all the other nonsense

I think it's an absolute masterclass in going off topic, one of the best I have seen for a while (:

you make a good point, I also own airguns but they're rifles so very unwieldly and difficult to use around the house hence why I'd use a blunt tool, and as for the bluffing with an airgun its a bit different to an airsoft gun because airguns can actually do damage whereas if they called your bluff and you were holding just an airsoft gun and you decided to shoot anyway I have a feeling they'd probably just laugh at you, that might distract them enough for you to go for them if you were that way inclined though, who knows but there was a story in a paper a while back of some bloke using his air rifle to defend his home and the judges said it was perfectly reasonable I'll have a quick google and see if I can find it. Edit: There we go didn't take long http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1357901/Burglar-dialled-999-shot-air-rifle-breaking-family-home.html now this just goes to show some judges have got some common sense and that we aren't completely screwed when it comes to defending our homes
-
That made me chuckle, just don't bother using your RIF's and use something nondescript but to hand such as deodorant in the eyes or anything heavy but swingable you have about, keeping your distance is generally better with these types, you never know what they're carrying

Quick update to the above: I could have sworn there was a seperate thread for just pictures of gear but I must be going mental so here's a clear picture of most of my gear. It consists of; TT Mini MAV Warrior triple M4 pouch Warrior kydex pistol pouches x3 Warrior small utility with carabiner Oakley M frame 2.0 w/ Helo kit Arc'teryx balaclava Howard Leight ear defenders Blackhawk! Sub gun sling

I personally think it's not a good idea, what if they call your bluff? then you're stood there with what is effectively a toy and someone who may want to do you harm and no time to go and fetch something else

Awful pictures because I can't find a room in the house that has any decent lighting that also has a mirror but this is what I will be wearing when I get back into the game when I can [in the next month or so hopefully] really hard to see because it's all black but I will post a slightly better picture in the appropriate thread of the kit on it's own, it's sort of a plain clothes/light order armed police kit but also just what I find comfortable and light. 1 with and 1 without cap
-
Is it only 7?! I would've thought it'd be a lot worse than that, anyway not to get off topic too much in my extrememly limited experience I've found the few MP5's that I've tinkered with are pretty simple to disassemble especially with the help of yoututbe

I dunno, they look a bit tricky to see out of to me, very bad fogging ;D

G-CODE RTI Ambidextrous Hanger + correct screws Fibre optic sights for my WE XDM 3.8 [stock ones are shockingly bad] Blackhawk! sub gun sling I need to stop buying stuff! -
not too sure on the vert grip but if it works for you that's all that matters (: I do like the rest of it though, seems like a nice compact setup
-
I am a bit of both player. sometimes I can't be arsed with a loadout so just chuck on jeans and and t-shirt/jumper but then other days I do try and co-ordinate my gear and clothing or go all out with my circa 2000 SAS assault kit, I enjoy the game as much whatever I'm wearing and I always laugh at the people who run around head to toe in gucci kit screaming orders left right and chelsea as if winning is all that matters, I just try and enjoy the day out and most of the time I can say I do. The only thing I will always spend money on is boots but everything else I will always pace myself when buying and try not to go over the top, I'm not made of money (:

well I'm looking at making something of a close approximation to a sig mcx as used by the Met's CT SFO's to use with my sort of plain clothes police loadout. The base is gonna be an ICS CXP hog QRS. It's front wired so I can change the stock easily, already has a sliding stock so I don't HAVE to change it straight away but I intend to put one of these on: it's not exactly like the MCX stock but I think it looks good enough as I'm not paying nearly £700-800 for the real thing and then have the arse ache of trying to import it which I don't think I'd be able too anyway. The barrel of the CXP is a bit longer than the MCX but barely so I can cope and same with the rail it doesn't look like the "sig mod" rail but its got key mod which is close enough for me, so that is my very minimal project for the next few months (: P.S. sorry for large pic, that's how it came off photobucket

I can vouch, they are a great bunch, very helpful and in my experience postage is always very fast which is a big plus
-
I can vouch for the newer WE psitols, I own a 226, 228 and XDM 3.8 love them all, the 226 isn't always 100% reliable in the cold being all metal if you just use it for the occasional shot during games it may be a bit sluggish or vent a bit but it's not like it doesn't work, it's just a GBB thing, one thing I will say is it's a fairly large handgun and being all metal it isn't the lightest, I personally love this feature but if you're new to pistols might be something to consider, my advice is if you've got a proper airsoft shop nearby go in and ask to handle and play with all the handguns they have, then you can get an idea of which suits your hands/style best

WE XDM 3.8 [bloody love it] TT Mav in black WAS Triple M4 in black WAS Small vertical utility pouch [think that's it's name ] in black and 3x WAS rigid pistol mag holders [the one's that rotate 360] lovely small setup where I can have a mag in each gun and 3 spares and there is room for me to add an extra pistol and long gun pouch if needs be (: -
Neebs Gaming, generally a very good laugh to watch
-
Unfortunately I'd have to disagree, as much as I love folding stocks and classic AK's I do also like some of the crane stocks that some specialist units are using at the moment
-
you could get something like this to slide the switch into - http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/airsoft-external-parts-237839/asg-foregrip.htm#.Vg0D5itUDSE or just use leccy tape to tape it to your handguard or current vertical foregrip if you have one

whats the best propane adaptor between the airsoft innovations and the MADBULL one? anything noticeable/major?

well if it works it works I suppose (: I'd love to eventually get round to having a G3 and if one ever came out in GBB form my bank and/or missus would murder me as I would be buying it straight away no questions asked depending on who made it of course
