It look to me like a UTG style quad rail system. I am not sure on the brand as there are many copies for airsoft most of Chinese manufacture and unfortunately with no box or packing it will be difficulted to tell. Any markings on the rail system? As for possible installation the one I have, requires you to install the bottom handguard like you would the standard handguard and, then align the handguard retainer into the appropriate cut-out/slot and flip the retaining pin over to lock it in place. You then re-install your gas tube and then place the upper rail portion on top then using the provide Allen screws and screw it to the holes in the bottom rail part don't over tighten. This may be one possible installation method and that I used on my RS type 56-2 and its this style. https://www.amazon.co.uk/OAREA-Tactical-Handguard-Shooting-Accessory/dp/B07SDLD3W4

Shipping an Airsoft Replica From the UK to Germany.
Sniper780 replied to Sniper780's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Thankyou all for the responses, info and clarification on this subject. It is as I surmised but I thought it best to check with the collective knowledge of this forum as you never know, I may have missed something and better safe than sorry. I will let the interested party know. Thankyou all once again for the help greatly appreciated. -
Hello, Looking for advice/help and people's experience with regarding shipping an airsoft replica to Germany. I have an RS SVD package up for sale an interested party in Germany is looking to buy. I have sent replicas within the UK no problem but sending overseas is causing me a bit of head scratching. I believe, I have to fill in a cn23 form and also comply with local German law regarding airsoft so either a white F-in-a-pentagon mark or completely remove the gear box and send the SVD body and gearbox in two separate consignment I am on the right track so far? Also has anyone filled in a cn23 form in relation to airsoft and what shipping/courier service did you use? I thought Parcel Force since they take replicas within the UK but on their website apparently they will not take replicas internationally, which is a theme that seems repeated with UPS and DPD. Any help regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Everything that Real Sword was developing and promised to released, such as the series of modern Chinese infantry weapons the QBZ-95, QJB-95 and QBU-88 etc along side other items, they teased at IWA. But for one reason or another they haven't yet and possibly never will.

I personally use the Prowin AK hop up unit or one of it copies such as the E&L version which I find to be good. Also use the ASG Ultimate hop unit for my Real Swords but that generally to get rid of the mag wobble. As for hop rubber I use Mad bull blue 60 degree or G&G green. As for barrel I generally stick with stock, I have used a madbull 455mm stainless steel tight bore but found the result to be disappointing to me for range. I have had very good range results with an Prowin hop unit , R-hop, g&g green hop rubber, ORGA Magnus Barrel 6.23 wide bore and PTFE tape.

Thought I would try the Hammerite faux soviet 50s era onward AK metal finish that been doing the rounds on social media on my E&L AKS-74. Also a side by shot of Hammerite finish ( that the one that has bakelite mag) and the standard E&L blued finish on an AKM.

interesting, to be fair there is not many other place you could really house the battery on electric blow back aksu so a widen gas tube is the best place. Do you have to remove the gas tube to install the battery or do you install it via the top receiver and place it in to the/ rear sight block/gas tube?
-
While you could theoretically put a 11.1v stick battery maybe a 1000mAh, 1100mAh and possibly a 1200mAh I don't believe currently any airsoft manufactured AK does place the battery in the gas tube as it limits the size even more also it would be extremely awkward to install and remove, long wires from the gearbox to the battery connectors not to mention disassembly and also if you want to change out the gas tube Most AK battery's are under the top receiver cover or rear stock model dependant. I know G&G used to do a AKM with the battery housed in a special lower handguard.

When you you flip the IR filter switch their should be an noticeable green tint when you look through the scope and like you said you see light when you look an at something using IR. If so then the IR filter is working.
-
I have seen this type of Belarus scope all working go for £230. But in it current conditions I personally say £130-150, since your competing with current RS manufacture pso scopes like NPZ and replicas by Vector Optics to name a few. You may get slightly more if advertised to real steel shooters/collector's due to the military range finding stadia not the civilian version.
-
It looks like a Belarus made pso-1 judging by the id markings on the second picture. Do you know if the IR filter still works?

Nearly all airsoft AKs use or are based on a version 3 gear box their are acceptations to this. As for the ICS receiver, you linked, I don't believe it will be compatible with your cyma AK front set as ICS have their own proprietary deign you might be able to modify it but I am not sure how.
-
@JME Unfortunately with this model of Cyma AK you will be unable to get a AK wood stock to fit, to get a wood stock/ traditional style of stock to fit the AK you need at least one of the two parts circled in red in the picture attached to get a wood stock to fit and hold mainly the upper stock tang. The AK in the picture is an E&L model, it dose vary from manufacture to manufacture.
-
If you could that would be greatly appreciated . I have seen some npp-3 on sale for £360, but are sold as possibly not working. Also the scope dose fit the side optic rail mount of E&L AKs see pic.
-
I know you mentioned that you not to clear on a price but as a pall park figure what would you say?
-
Thank you all for the input, greatly appreciated. So would a price of £460 which include PayPal fees and postage to the UK be reasonable?
-
@Adolf HamsterThank you for your info and the link to that previous scope advert. I might just have to put up an advert and take it from there.

Having a clear out of bit and bobs I don't use and that need to go to a new home. This a fully working Soviet era night vision scope it is a polish built PPN-3, which I belive is classed as a gen 1. It comes with: The steel heavy duty transit case. Canvas carrying case Canvas scope case for when the optic is mounted to a rifle. Spare daylight filter. Spare rubber eye cup. 3 spare power switches Other parts I am not sure what they do. Everything is in excellent condition, still has some storage grease on the metal locking parts. It mainly for the PKM but, it fit on to my RS SVD (see pics) no problem, and the locking clamps can be altered so I am assuming that it can be used on the AK with the side mounting rail. I do have a video of it working but the file won't fit on here. Looking for a idea of what I should put this up for. Any advice would be appreciated.

Bump drop price £780 all in/ono. Complete RS gear box and RS gear set now sold. Interested in part-ex for E&L AKS-74 or AKM wood version gen2. Part-ex will be done face to face only, please. Update on the prices for splitting the package prices below: SVD with scope and mags etc: £780 Complete RS spare gearbox:£250 sold Complete RS spare gear set and piston in the original box £50 sold Prices include Paypal fees but not postage. 28/05/20 Update: Had some interest but unfortunately, most of the messages follow the vein of " What's the best price you can do" and What the lowest I will take" it would save time if you just say the price you're looking to pay. However, a point to be aware of Real Sword (RS) has not done a re-run of these SVD for years and due to the ongoing political situation in Hong Kong, I doubt it will happen for who knows how long if at all. So I believe RS second-hand prices are mostly only going to increase, I am certainly considering it, so if you want the best airsoft AEG SVD in my opinion and you don't want to be caught like a deer in headlights, paying more I recommend you act fast. Selling one of my extremely rare and prized pieces in my Real Sword collection to raise funds for other projects more pictures below. This SVD/Type85 has simply been a collector's piece that seen no skirmishing just for display and target plink when showing it off so is in very good condition wired to corally connectors for an easier installation of battery. The RS SVD/type 85 is basically a real Chinese manufacture type 85 which is a direct copy of the Soviet-designed Dragunov just with airsoft internal the very pinnacle of Airsoft AEG SVDs. It has the added bonus of being able to use it for both Soviet-Russian or Chinese PLA impression and loadout, in particular, the Sino-Vietnamese War. This SVD/type 85 for sale is the no longer produced generation 1. The main feature of this rifle that sets it apart from the gen2 counterpart is: this RS SVD/type 85 gen1 has the same deep black gloss military finish (see pictures) that you will find on the real steel Soviet and Chinese weapons of this type were as the gen2 RS SVD/type85 has the phosphate finish which is a dull grey. In the pictures below, the SVD with a sling and black pso scope is the one for sale, the SVD with the grey finish pso scope is not for sale. The gen 2 SVD/type85 also have a gearbox unlocking switch but this rifle has had this part installed as well, so this SVD/Type85 is pretty much nigh on indestructible external and internal but if some internal part was to break this package includes a host of rare spare parts. No swap or trades but open to negotiations. Would prefer collection or meet up due to the number of extras don’t fit very well in the original box so I do not wish to risk damage but if the buyer is willing to accept the risk postage can be discussed. Any questions or need more pictures please pm me. This package comes with: • E&L pso 4x24 scope in a black metallic finish, with carrying case and spare illumination reticule light bulbs and tools. • One real sword spare gear set and piston in the original box very rare no longer produced and originally came with the first series of rifles imported into the UK • One unopened complete gearbox with the motor which is extremely rare like hen’s teeth. • Authenticity certificate. • Quality control certificate. • User manual. • Disassembly poster. • Original Box. • one carry case • 4 steel svd mid-caps that have been refinished to match the rifle.£780

@FreeFrag.UK I personal consider LCT and E&L on the same tier in regard to my view on the airsoft AK pantheon, so I would compare the two as they are both are very similar, in regards to manufacture, materials used and pricing. However after the Nuprol price tax on LCT AK's, E&L for me are taking a lead, you just get more bang for your buck currently, especial compared to the price of the LCT in the AD you linked. Although UK Shop pricing on E&L AK's is steep Gunfire are competitively priced . Now if the seller decided to adjust the price inline with your estimation of £265.00 all in then I would say that fair a second hand market price, but at £380, I would just buy the brand new E&L and cyma mags, genuine AK slings are cheap and easy to find.

The Dboys GP-25 while rare, they are fragile and are prone to breaking in particular the sights coupled their propriety shell size, ( you can get tag rounds for it) makes them more of a novelty than any real use, £200 is very steep in my opinion I would say £95-£100, especially when you can buy the king arms GP-30 which uses the stand 40mm shell type. The LCT AK74-M is high considering it second hand, you can buy brand new ( in my opinion superior)E&L gen2 AK74-M from gunfire for £274.89 granted you have factor in the cost postage and a new spring to make comply with UK fps but it easy with QC gear box. https://gunfire.com/en/products/el-74-mn-assault-rifle-replica-gen-2-1152202736.html
