  1. Again they are very similar if not the same to the first one you linked just a different finish, also the hand guards look like AKS 74U hand guards, but with work they can fit but you are also buying a rear stock which is no use to you with your particular model of AK. Cold War collectables has some parts and UK based and maybe able to order you a set I have personally bought from him a number of time so he pretty good. https://www.cold-war-collectables.co.uk/parts-department/soviet-weapons-parts/ There are a number of UK military surplus sites that sell AK parts just have to keep an eye out for them. Also a chap by the name AJ Egan Walsh I believe used to/ still does sell surplus parts on FB and Instagram I believe he based in Ireland not too sure if he still selling. Esty sellers also have some very good surplus parts but they come at a premium and from outside the UK but are very good got the hand guards on my E&lL AK from a seller on there.
  2. The parts you link may fit with work, but they have some weird cut-out at the rear and protrusions that will most likely will need to be removed to fit properly. It also appears they look laminated but looking at the other images, it would appear they are made of machine-pressed-formed wood like Chinese Chu wood, which is prone to cracking so. I personally would avoid this one, especially if you are buying from Evike due to total cost but it your rifle so your choice.
  3. Well in the case of surplus parts. It down to using a hand file and test fitting (multiple times) and filing away material from the rear lower wood tab that slots into the lower receiver. In some case the front and side portion of front end of the lower handguard where the handguard retainer slides over and lock in place. the upper hand guard may also require this as well. You also have to be aware that if you get early wood surplus 74 handguards they some times have a spring steel metal part at the rear,(see red outline part in pic) this means that the handguards will not sit flush with the receiver and there is a visible gap, but that how it meant to be so don't remove to much material other wise it wont fit properly. There are video on YouTube that better explain this visually than me typing it all-out. Surplus parts can be a mix bag due to condition and manufacture.
  4. Genuine surplus 74 handguards will fit but do require some work to fit correctly. My E&L AKS-74 with Russian surplus 74 handguards.
  5. I personally use the Prowin AK hop up unit or one of it copies such as the E&L version which I find to be good. Also use the ASG Ultimate hop unit for my Real Swords but that generally to get rid of the mag wobble. As for hop rubber I use Mad bull blue 60 degree or G&G green. As for barrel I generally stick with stock, I have used a madbull 455mm stainless steel tight bore but found the result to be disappointing to me for range. I have had very good range results with an Prowin hop unit , R-hop, g&g green hop rubber, ORGA Magnus Barrel 6.23 wide bore and PTFE tape.
  6. Thought I would try the Hammerite faux soviet 50s era onward AK metal finish that been doing the rounds on social media on my E&L AKS-74. Also a side by shot of Hammerite finish ( that the one that has bakelite mag) and the standard E&L blued finish on an AKM.
  7. Are you looking for a replica or real steel?

Bump drop price £780 all in/ono. Complete RS gear box and RS gear set now sold. Interested in part-ex for E&L AKS-74 or AKM wood version gen2. Part-ex will be done face to face only, please. Update on the prices for splitting the package prices below: SVD with scope and mags etc: £780 Complete RS spare gearbox:£250 sold Complete RS spare gear set and piston in the original box £50 sold Prices include Paypal fees but not postage. 28/05/20 Update: Had some interest but unfortunately, most of the messages follow the vein of " What's the best price you can do" and What the lowest I will take" it would save time if you just say the price you're looking to pay. However, a point to be aware of Real Sword (RS) has not done a re-run of these SVD for years and due to the ongoing political situation in Hong Kong, I doubt it will happen for who knows how long if at all. So I believe RS second-hand prices are mostly only going to increase, I am certainly considering it, so if you want the best airsoft AEG SVD in my opinion and you don't want to be caught like a deer in headlights, paying more I recommend you act fast. Selling one of my extremely rare and prized pieces in my Real Sword collection to raise funds for other projects more pictures below. This SVD/Type85 has simply been a collector's piece that seen no skirmishing just for display and target plink when showing it off so is in very good condition wired to corally connectors for an easier installation of battery. The RS SVD/type 85 is basically a real Chinese manufacture type 85 which is a direct copy of the Soviet-designed Dragunov just with airsoft internal the very pinnacle of Airsoft AEG SVDs. It has the added bonus of being able to use it for both Soviet-Russian or Chinese PLA impression and loadout, in particular, the Sino-Vietnamese War. This SVD/type 85 for sale is the no longer produced generation 1. The main feature of this rifle that sets it apart from the gen2 counterpart is: this RS SVD/type 85 gen1 has the same deep black gloss military finish (see pictures) that you will find on the real steel Soviet and Chinese weapons of this type were as the gen2 RS SVD/type85 has the phosphate finish which is a dull grey. In the pictures below, the SVD with a sling and black pso scope is the one for sale, the SVD with the grey finish pso scope is not for sale. The gen 2 SVD/type85 also have a gearbox unlocking switch but this rifle has had this part installed as well, so this SVD/Type85 is pretty much nigh on indestructible external and internal but if some internal part was to break this package includes a host of rare spare parts. No swap or trades but open to negotiations. Would prefer collection or meet up due to the number of extras don’t fit very well in the original box so I do not wish to risk damage but if the buyer is willing to accept the risk postage can be discussed. Any questions or need more pictures please pm me. This package comes with: • E&L pso 4x24 scope in a black metallic finish, with carrying case and spare illumination reticule light bulbs and tools. • One real sword spare gear set and piston in the original box very rare no longer produced and originally came with the first series of rifles imported into the UK • One unopened complete gearbox with the motor which is extremely rare like hen’s teeth. • Authenticity certificate. • Quality control certificate. • User manual. • Disassembly poster. • Original Box. • one carry case • 4 steel svd mid-caps that have been refinished to match the rifle.

  9. @FreeFrag.UK I personal consider LCT and E&L on the same tier in regard to my view on the airsoft AK pantheon, so I would compare the two as they are both are very similar, in regards to manufacture, materials used and pricing. However after the Nuprol price tax on LCT AK's, E&L for me are taking a lead, you just get more bang for your buck currently, especial compared to the price of the LCT in the AD you linked. Although UK Shop pricing on E&L AK's is steep Gunfire are competitively priced . Now if the seller decided to adjust the price inline with your estimation of £265.00 all in then I would say that fair a second hand market price, but at £380, I would just buy the brand new E&L and cyma mags, genuine AK slings are cheap and easy to find.
  10. The Dboys GP-25 while rare, they are fragile and are prone to breaking in particular the sights coupled their propriety shell size, ( you can get tag rounds for it) makes them more of a novelty than any real use, £200 is very steep in my opinion I would say £95-£100, especially when you can buy the king arms GP-30 which uses the stand 40mm shell type. The LCT AK74-M is high considering it second hand, you can buy brand new ( in my opinion superior)E&L gen2 AK74-M from gunfire for £274.89 granted you have factor in the cost postage and a new spring to make comply with UK fps but it easy with QC gear box. https://gunfire.com/en/products/el-74-mn-assault-rifle-replica-gen-2-1152202736.html
  11. Thank you for your perspective greatly appreciated.
  12. No the PVS-14 clone. Yes the resolution and the overall quality.
  13. Thanks for the clarification and link. What do you think of the optic any good?
  14. Forgive me but Is that a real PVS-14 on a mostly polymer springer that cost around $130 and the PVS-14 can cost over $2000 or more depending on the gen? ( look nice by the way the optics and K2)
  15. Don't normally stray into non-AK pattern airsoft guns but this listing price seems steep for what you get. https://prefired.co.uk/ads/ics-l86a2-6-mags-tm-desert-eagle-hard-kick-gorilla-hard-gun-case/ But the description dose seems to have the usual embellishments this bit made me chuckle. "The gun is a beast with a ridiculously long barrel so will outshoot most snipers. I’ve been airsofting for years and I’ve never seen a gun as accurate as this at long ranges."
  16. https://prefired.co.uk/ads/rare-gg-ak-highly-modded/ £400 for a supposedly rare G&G AKs-74U that can be found at softairgames for € 269 https://www.softairgames.net/en/ak-dragunov/19327-electric-rifle-gks74u-full-metal-real-wood-ak74u-gg-gg-rk74-u.html And then Icing on top the "upgrades" installed mean that if you fire the AK on full auto for more then a undefined short burst you break the gun. Cost them £470 in total but happy to let you have the dumpster fire for £400
  17. That is one factor. But they are not all away truthful about the actually manufacture of the products they sell selling, noticeably selling cheap Chinese clones but claiming they are real steel parts and charging real steel prices.
  18. To be honest I would be very sceptical to the point of not trusting Dave's Custom Airsoft they have practice some very dodgy selling practises in the past.
  19. My knowledge on airsoft versions of WW2 weapons is limited, is it the AGM or SRC mp40 you run? I have heard about performance issues on the G&G Kar98k but I do like the externals on them and the SE version is fun to play about with but absolutely unless for skirmishing.
  20. Very interesting all the loadouts look fairly practical for skirmishing, which is a nice plus.
  21. Very cool loadouts is it all repo kit or a mix of genuine and repo items?
  22. My current Real sword collection just need the type 56-2 Russian handguard variant to be complete set than embark on something new.
  23. Interesting list just one observation, despite the name Taiwan gun, is actually located in Poland, not Asia. https://www.taiwangun.com/en/contact.html Just to ask how many of these shops have you used personally, any particular ones you would recommend?
  24. Upgraded Snow wolf Kar98k Springer for £700 from Prefired https://www.prefired.com/ads/upgraded-snow-wolf-kar98k-springer-airsoft-rifle/ Or for the same upgraded rifle with the same extras from the original creator Swit airsoft for £424.53. https://www.switairsoft.com/product-page/pre-upgraded-s-t-kar98k the seller has even copied the product description directly from Swit airsoft but with no proof in AD of said upgrades.
  25. If you want a genuine RS 56 upper handguard and gas tube your best bet would be contacting RS directly that what I did when I put a rail system on one of my 56 but wanted the option to switch it back. ( Although the ongoing HK political situation is delaying orders) If your not fust about the make LCT and E&l gas tube will fit but the lower handguard will need some fettling.
