  1. Personal I would say £290-£315 for just the AKS-74U and the mags including paypal fees but not postage. Not sure on the chest rig not my area personally.
  2. Don't normally stray into non-AK pattern airsoft guns but this listing price seems steep for what you get. https://prefired.co.uk/ads/ics-l86a2-6-mags-tm-desert-eagle-hard-kick-gorilla-hard-gun-case/ But the description dose seems to have the usual embellishments this bit made me chuckle. "The gun is a beast with a ridiculously long barrel so will outshoot most snipers. I’ve been airsofting for years and I’ve never seen a gun as accurate as this at long ranges."
  3. https://prefired.co.uk/ads/rare-gg-ak-highly-modded/ £400 for a supposedly rare G&G AKs-74U that can be found at softairgames for € 269 https://www.softairgames.net/en/ak-dragunov/19327-electric-rifle-gks74u-full-metal-real-wood-ak74u-gg-gg-rk74-u.html And then Icing on top the "upgrades" installed mean that if you fire the AK on full auto for more then a undefined short burst you break the gun. Cost them £470 in total but happy to let you have the dumpster fire for £400
  4. I would imagine it entirely depends on where the milsim scenario is based. personally I favour the SVD For example in the middle east I would imagine it would be fine, look at the gun markets in the Khyber pass they have all sorts of weapon due to the tumultuous history of the region I have seen rifle such as Martini Henry, various marks of lee enfields, and kar98 just to name a few, so you could make the case for having a well used hunting rifle, add a cloth rap etc etc. Hell if you look at the current conflict in Syria as an example you will see that the non-state actors have access to some advance weapon systems. All depends on how you sell it. Even if the scenario is based in Eastern Europe such as the conflict in Ukraine you could most but the case forward best thing you could do is have a look at news, video or images of conflict that are Asymmetric warfare in nature and have a look at the combatants equipment. I would are argue that it would have to have a home made vibe to not a professional manufacture some thing akin to the early ghillie of the first world war one on but that my personal preference. Any thing of sino-soviet manufacture e.g. tokarev pistol, makarov or a Škorpion vz. 61 just to name a few.
  5. That is one factor. But they are not all away truthful about the actually manufacture of the products they sell selling, noticeably selling cheap Chinese clones but claiming they are real steel parts and charging real steel prices.
  6. To be honest I would be very sceptical to the point of not trusting Dave's Custom Airsoft they have practice some very dodgy selling practises in the past.
  7. While I am a big advocate of Real Sword I personally don't currently think they are better then E&L or LCT. Granted they are really the only airsoft manufacture who can make the claim that their Airsoft AEGs ,are made to the same specs, materials and finish, as the real steel weapon they replicate and the quality of the products they produce is one of the highest for airsoft AK variants (just look at the AK magazines full steel with a blued finish ) combined with solid no frill internal make them fairly reliable and dependable. Also for me personally I have had excellent after market support from them, one of the reason I still buy from them. That being said they are extremely expensive for what you get, the cheapest place to buy RS currently in the UK is land warrior for £445.99 they use to be £350. The internals are dated no QC gear box, except on the type 97 &97b. The wood furniture used is the same Chinese chiu wood on the real Type 56, which is prone to cracks and splits made even worse buy the fact they hollow out the stock on the 56 to accommodate another battery space so it even more likely to splits, the under folder can also brake at the locking button, and replacement external are expensive to buy. (Although the 56-2 folding stock is one of if not the strongest airsoft AK folding mechanism currently.) Compared to E&L gen 2 AKs which are full steel but no where near real steel spec, standard V3 gearbox, with QC spring feature, laminated wood furniture on those models that have it and currently very economical priced £283.20 for the most expensive model they have from Gunfire, I would say that very hard to beat that. But the discussion on which is the best airsoft AK will go on Ad nauseam, however I see more LCT, E&l and Cyma AKs then Real Sword at skirmishes.
  8. Currently I would say E&l gen 2 from gunfire lot of bang for you buck compared to the current offerings and prices of lct. https://gunfire.com/en/menu/rifles-17200.html?filter_traits[6471]=&filter_traits[6485]=&filter_traits[6466]=&filter_traits[33]=&filter_traits[20]=&filter_traits[34]=&filter_traits[19]=&filter_traits[21]=&filter_producer=1383559869&filter_new=&filter_promotion=&filter_instock=y
  9. Depends on what your after, but for AK parts there places like Cold war collectables, Zib militaria, ComBloc market on reddit just to name a few for AK/Comblock weapon parts. There also milweb they list a lot of UK dealers of deacts who deal in surplus parts as well: https://www.milweb.net/dealers.php?catID=16
  10. I have only swap 3 airsoft guns and they have all been face to face, two swap on, skirmish days which is Ideal but dose not always happen. But I personally would never swap/trade via postage as one party could send an empty box and you would not known until its too late, Or the item is not in the condition as described or shown in pictures but if it been post not a great deal you can do. Down side to face to face is organising where to meet, fuel cost , your personal safety and if the other party backs out last minute and does not tell you.
  11. Currently for AKs I would say the E&L gen2 series from gunfire, are very good value for money , full steel and wood or polymer dependant on variant and solid internal QC gearbox and prowin style hop unit . https://gunfire.com/en/menu/airsoft-replicas-366.html?filter_traits[6471]=&filter_traits[6485]=&filter_traits[6466]=&filter_traits[33]=&filter_traits[20]=&filter_traits[34]=&filter_traits[19]=&filter_traits[21]=&filter_producer=1383559869&filter_new=&filter_promotion=&filter_instock=y
  12. My knowledge on airsoft versions of WW2 weapons is limited, is it the AGM or SRC mp40 you run? I have heard about performance issues on the G&G Kar98k but I do like the externals on them and the SE version is fun to play about with but absolutely unless for skirmishing.
  13. Very interesting all the loadouts look fairly practical for skirmishing, which is a nice plus.
  14. Very cool loadouts is it all repo kit or a mix of genuine and repo items?
  15. My current Real sword collection just need the type 56-2 Russian handguard variant to be complete set than embark on something new.
  16. The G&G AK74 you linked is fine perfectly skirmishable however you are forced to use g&g propriety battery handguard system so if you want spare battery you have to buy their battery handguard like this one https://eagle6.co.uk/shop/catalog/product/view/id/5641/s/g-g-li-po-handguard-battery-for-gk74m-gks74-7-4v-1000mah/ This means you can not customise it with lower rails system if you wanted to add attachment such as lights, foregrips etc as for mag compatibility most major brands should work but they may need some fettling on the rear mag catch to fit properly. Personally I would save for the LCT better overall more options for customisations and not reliant on proprietary parts. There is also E&l range of AKs particularly from gunfire which are very good in my opinion and are quite well priced: https://gunfire.com/en/products/els-74-mn-assault-rifle-replica-gen-2-1152202735.html https://gunfire.com/en/products/el-74-mn-assault-rifle-replica-gen-2-1152202736.html One caveat to note is that it comes from Poland at around 400fps so you will need to downgrade for the UK but that's fairly easy due to E&l QC gearbox spring
  17. Interesting list just one observation, despite the name Taiwan gun, is actually located in Poland, not Asia. https://www.taiwangun.com/en/contact.html Just to ask how many of these shops have you used personally, any particular ones you would recommend?
  18. Upgraded Snow wolf Kar98k Springer for £700 from Prefired https://www.prefired.com/ads/upgraded-snow-wolf-kar98k-springer-airsoft-rifle/ Or for the same upgraded rifle with the same extras from the original creator Swit airsoft for £424.53. https://www.switairsoft.com/product-page/pre-upgraded-s-t-kar98k the seller has even copied the product description directly from Swit airsoft but with no proof in AD of said upgrades.
  19. If you want a genuine RS 56 upper handguard and gas tube your best bet would be contacting RS directly that what I did when I put a rail system on one of my 56 but wanted the option to switch it back. ( Although the ongoing HK political situation is delaying orders) If your not fust about the make LCT and E&l gas tube will fit but the lower handguard will need some fettling.

  21. Manage to convince a friend of mine to sell me 3 of his real steel bakelite 7.62x39mm magazines one has been converted to airsoft which fits well in my RS type 56-1 but the other two have not.
  22. Exactly It seems counterintuitive to take a perfectly good working piston designed for that particular AEG and swap it for one that has to be made to fit. With regards to the hi-cap mag, it makes sense. Because if he does have any RS mid-caps he will probably keep them as they are currently harder to get than the RS AEGs themselves at the moment. You are right trouble is you can buy the whole range of RS type 56's directed from the factory, they even periodically do 30% off the shipping although you run the risk of import duties.
  23. I normally don't post on this thread, but £510 for a second-hand RS Type56-1 with some self-installed upgrades on what I consider an already decent gearbox https://forums.zeroin.co.uk/forum/classifieds/rifles-smg-s-for-sale/electric-rifles-smg-s/3079226-real-sword-type-56-1-upgraded Especially when you can buy from land warrior for £445.99 http://www.landwarriorairsoft.com/real-sword-m112
  24. Fort Redut in vsr 98 camo as seen being used by FSB units during the 2004 Beslan crisis complete with full kevlar as well as hard plates. Total Overkill for airsoft but an interesting piece for the collection.
  25. Real sword SVD rear stock and the very rare upgraded RS-T3 SVD gearbox directly from the factory. As well as some other bits and pieces from them on their way.
