A good place to start if you're looking for info, inspiration and possibly places to buy for Russian/Combloc kit. You might want to join the Northern Pact Facebook group.

The Cyma universal AK side optic mount fits and sit quite low, but if you already have one and have tried it and it not to your liking, there is the ZenitCo B-13N for the SVD that is a low profile optic mount . However I am not sure if there a airsoft reproduction version out. The only other svd low optic mount I know of is the F.A.B. SVDM, NPZ Alfa and the Patriot M47 siderail.

It certainty does, but it has that soviet aesthetic.

Did some modifying over the Christmas break. Added a weathered GHK akm wood kit bought off a member on these forums, to my E&L AKM and also added a side rail optic mount to my 7.62X39mm LCT RPK to make it somewhat resemble a RPKN

I heard that comment/story on the FET FB page, regarding another company buying out RS. But I always take talk of such things with a pinch of salt, since no one has yet to confirmed or deny it. As for the type 97 fiasco that has unfortunately been on going for years and there has been some really shady/out right criminal practices going with that.
-
Unfortunately the market is in their hands at the moment, regarding full steel SVD and it variants. Unless RS re-release their SVD/Type 85 or if E&L ever decided to release their SVD that they advertised ages ago.

That fair, I have never seen a military 1P29 with tritium still functioning plenty of the civilians UPO-1 ones have it thought, there use to be someone in America who had/made replacement insert, not sure if they are still doing that. However having a genuine military variant is nice to see. Is it a fairly resent acquisition, or did you manage to buy it before the price rise?
-
All most certainly, Nuprol tax and the airsoft shops who will have to add to the price to make their money. I wonder how much the magazines will be? I have all ready seen a post on the Airsoft reddit lamenting the price (Obviously this for a Canadian shop but it may be a potential indictor for the UK when they are in the shops.) With regard to the spare parts front LCT are normally fairly good on that point WGCshop carries a lot of spare parts both internal and external. The slim motor is also an interesting development.
-
Interesting I imagine UK price are going to be quite high, especially with noprol I believe being the exclusive UK distribution agent, and they add their tax on top of the RRP.
-
Vey nice set up. Does your 1P29 still have the tritium in the reticle or is it deactivated?
-
You are correct, LCT have never produced their own optics yet. However they did have have an advert back in 2016 which showed LCT AKs with a number of accessories, which of course, lead to speculation that LCT may produce their own. Here is a page with said advert https://popularairsoft.com/news/all-lct-airsoft-ak-parts-accessories

I wonder if LCT will produce their own optic like the one shown in the AD?
-
Have LCT give a price estimate yet? Also that QC gear box looks very interesting.

TM AK102 EBB - what internals should be upgraded?
Sniper780 replied to Spitfire_SVK's topic in Electric Guns
I see, 1500-2000bbs it not a small amount but then again determining the brake in period for Airsoft replica's is not an exact science. Personally I would say it needs more bbs through it, I can't give an definite number as I have never counted but 4000+ maybe more depends on the manufacturer. But as you said you're committing to internal mods then hopefully other forum members may be of more help then I. Good luck with your build. -
TM AK102 EBB - what internals should be upgraded?
Sniper780 replied to Spitfire_SVK's topic in Electric Guns
With regards to internal modification, I cannot personally say as I have never worked on TM ebb AK'S However if you've only play a few games and only put a few hundred to a thousand rounds through it, you may want to consider holding off on internal mods, and give the AK a chance to break in. All brand new AK's I have had, have a break in period where intial performance is OK but after a few thousand rounds in my experience there was a noticeable improvement. Just one thing to consider, as it may save you time and money, but it your kit and money so it down to you. -
That is an interesting point, while I believe it would limit the market if they put it a rpd or pkp prices, they could very well do that since they are currently the only large airsoft manufacture making a genuine milled steel svd and possibly other variants looking at the box. Especially since Real Sword has not re-done a rerelease of their gen2 SVD.

It will be interesting to see what price they decided for this? The past build up for the lct svd, people on social media seem to be thinking £450-500 mark but I am personal thinking it will be more, possibly looking at a similar price to that of the Limited Special Edition lct type 3 AK47 £650.
-
I believe the op likes the look of the STKBR folding stock on the LCT stk-74.
-
If I remember correctly, E&L essential series is a rebrand/reboot of their Force Core series which was a collaboration with Gunfire Poland. In short E&L externals with more economical internals. The Force Core series were very well priced for full steel AK externals around the 250 euro mark on Gunfire when they had them in stock. However the 3 Force Core I had did have a few QC problems, such poor blued finishing on the steel parts, missing cleaning rod, rear sight leaf spring just general fit an finish was a step down form E&L own brand of AKs But I used them as conversion kits anyway so it was not a real issue for me. If you not already seen it there a external comparison of LCT vs E&L gen 2 vs E&L essential on reddit, which gives a brief review.

I need some help as my Google-Fu has failed me.
E&L did a series of AK called the PMC, basically AKs with Zenitco style rails and AR buffer stock tubes most were built on AK74 and AKM non-side folding pattern receiver.
Does anyone know if they sold just the rear AR buffer stock tubes assembly separately?
-
An interesting but also a bizarre way of AK stock fitment. Is the polymer faux wood stock very flexible that it needs such a support?
-
Sadly the receiver is die-cast zinc and only the receiver cover is steel, according to TM own advertising time stamp 0:51 for the info.
-
I am impressed with the fact that the wood furniture is actually plastic interesting to see how well it holds up over time. The pistol grips looks like a decent faux version of a bakelite pistol grip from the pictures I have seen. I wonder if it looks as good in real life as it does in the pictures?
-
Thought I would try the Hammerite faux soviet 50s era onward AK metal finish that been doing the rounds on social media on my E&L AKS-74. Also a side by shot of Hammerite finish ( that the one that has bakelite mag) and the standard E&L blued finish on an AKM.

@FreeFrag.UK I personal consider LCT and E&L on the same tier in regard to my view on the airsoft AK pantheon, so I would compare the two as they are both are very similar, in regards to manufacture, materials used and pricing. However after the Nuprol price tax on LCT AK's, E&L for me are taking a lead, you just get more bang for your buck currently, especial compared to the price of the LCT in the AD you linked. Although UK Shop pricing on E&L AK's is steep Gunfire are competitively priced . Now if the seller decided to adjust the price inline with your estimation of £265.00 all in then I would say that fair a second hand market price, but at £380, I would just buy the brand new E&L and cyma mags, genuine AK slings are cheap and easy to find.
