I didn't say the sport of airsoft would have been banned. I said airsoft RIFs would have been banned under VCRA though I should have clarified the sale of them. Indeed it was a Labour government but that's an oversimplication given that policy under Starmer differs significantly from that under Blair at the time.

Today's new toys, did a trade for a few of my air rifles with a gentleman from g trader. Absolutely over the moon, my son is ecstatic. All works as he described, and he threw in so many extras. We have hammered thru BBS since we got back. And It only cost me 20 quid of diesel and we made a new friend. Today is a great day. And I won't be letting him use the mesh goggles, they came in the bundle but I know they are not safe enough. 😆

I was given some blank firing reps a while back, someone i knew found them in the loft while having a clear out. So i contacted kent plod, cos i dont like blank guns anyway but i wanted to know if they wanted to take them. The guy on the chat bot thing must have had a heart failure when i said i had two peacemaker type things and an AK looking rep. Well, i say AK looking rep, if you got a 7 year old to draw an AK, thats what it looked like..... So plod turn up, the first bloke, nice enough as he was had ABSOLUTELY no idea what he was looking for and was just there to wait for the ARU that was on its way. After a cuppa and a chat, the ARU lads turned up, had a look, told me they were fine (albeit they looked down the gas tube of the AK, which kinda made me chuckle) and i could keep them. I didnt want them. NEITHER DID THEY!!! LOL. SO i did the only thing i could think of and gave them to the site i play at so they could either use them in a game or cut them up into scrap. Still got the ring door bell shot somewhere of the two ARU guys with very nice Glocks, standing at my door.

Airsoft will face further restrictions long before it happens to air pistols or air rifles. Not sure I agree with this statement. As I remember it was a Labour Government that was going to ban airsoft. At the time before the compromise of self regulation was agreed the owners of airsoft guns were told you can keep what you have but can’t buy anymore. I don’t remember if they had planned to actually ban the sport of airsoft. Does anyone remember. In Scotland all airguns are now licensed, with practically all the same requirements as FAC guns. Airsoft guns are considered toys I believe and are not included. I think airguns might be licensed in England & Wales, the only thing putting off any government is the numbers involved, approx 6 million airguns in circulation according to police figures. At the moment the licensing system can’t cope in many areas, with renewals and grants taking months and extensions being given as a matter of course. Some areas are taking more than a year before they even visit for a grant. I have no idea how many airsoft guns are in circulation, a lot I would think. And unlike bans on blank firers where the government can get away without paying compensation as they are claiming they can be converted to fire live rounds, any ban on airsoft would require compensation to be paid.

Selling this US made ITT PVS7. Has an OMNI 7, autogated, thin film tube inside. FOM about 1800 from what I could find. Has a couple of minor spots but nothing too bad at all. An excellent tube that will beat out any similarly priced NNVT or photonis offering in the dark The housing is much older, and is well used. It has some degradation of the mirrors inside, resulting in some nasty looking marks on the edge of one eyepiece and a transparent mark off to the centre of the other one. Once you focus on the image and set it up on a helmet, however, these defects become far less noticeable, but not quite invisible. Check the youtube link below for more. Housing has been recollimated and cleaned up and is ready to go. Comes with a carrying bag, sacrificial lens, original matching tube container, and a freebie cheapo rhino mount.
