We not explored hpa yet, maybe in the future. I've still got dive bottle and a pump in storage. Told the wife this hobby wouldn't get too expensive... Oops.

I'm on the hunt (probably long term) for the accessories to have it fairly clone correct to the 45 Commando set up I saw on the Barry Buddon range YT clip. Most will be easy enough but I'll be damned if I'm paying £400 to DCA for the optic set up. (even if it does look kewl).

If you could change the joule limit, would you?
Adolf Hamster replied to Gunboat Diplomat's topic in General Discussion
Hops are good, but not alone. I seperate "range" from "practical range". The former is merely the ability to lob rounds far whereas the latter is actually hitting what you're aiming at more often than not. Yes raw joules will increase the range on their own, but how much of that you'll actually be able to utilise is a very different story. A well dialled in gun with good ammo is going to be effective in far more situations than a leaky mess lobbing bulldog .12's. The chase for accuracy may seem pointless to some, but my experience is it does unlock opportunities. Yes most airsoft pews are accurate to "minute of bad guy" but how often is said guy standing out in the open waiting to be hit? The ability to hit a head, or a hand, or a leg poking out of cover, or reliably post rounds through a small opening makes more difference than how much smackdown said rounds have if said smackdown happens once a mag rather than on command. Of course this is all assuming that actually hitting the target yeilds results, unfortunately airsoft is infested with poor quality targets and even a broadside from a 40-mike of hpa'd plastic extruder can be ignored by those clad in sufficient plot armour. -

If you could change the joule limit, would you?
Galvatron replied to Gunboat Diplomat's topic in General Discussion
As others have said, I don't think we'll see an increase mainly because the Firearms Act would have to be revised and I'd imagine it would affect more than just airsoft. Even if that happened, you'd expect liability insurance premiums to rise so that increases the cost on sites and running costs are why so many have shut down. I personally wouldn't change a great deal with joule limits because MEDs are not observed by too many people on DMRs or bolties. If the legal and insurance constraints were raised, I'd only be amenable to changes if people could be trusted to respect MEDs and if dedicated marksmen would keep only one round in the air at a time. -
It’s a start, but the proportions are all wrong for that pistol mount …… ….. though in a slightly more serious manner, I have actually played a pistol with a 13ci cylinder attached It worked, but could not be held outstretched on target for long ….. Running a pistol challenge and needing more pistols in the team inventory gave me the “justification” to “invest” in a twin, which then simplified to going akimbo and managing reloads & CO2 changes

Hello, I recently bought a G&G electric drum magazine, but it came without its charging cable (picture for reference). Anybody know where can I buy it separately or how it is called? It looks like having the female part of a LiPo battery from both ends. Thank you in advance

If you could change the joule limit, would you?
Tackle replied to Gunboat Diplomat's topic in General Discussion
In principle, I love this idea, especially the fire rate, ive always thought it should match the irl equivalent, to that end, mag capacities should also match. But In our "irl" we've got hpa dsg stubby box mag m4's, used by Teflon coated 360 no-scopers, what chance have we got of a reasonably level playing field😬 -

To be honest, this has been my experience as well. My VFC G3 is effective out to 50-60m and that's probably my best option. My MP7 a bit shy of that, at 50m before it has dispersion all over the place. I do find with a boltie that while the range doesn't really increase, the precision does a little. Whether that's just using heavier BBs or the actual power bump, I dunno. My boltie is basically a Mk12 build with a bolt action built in, so I get the ergonomics of a good DMR but higher power from it being a boltie. I find I can get first shot hits a lot more often at long ranges, and it makes peeking engagements a lot easier to win. I can hit a head or exposed arsecheek at the range my standard guns could hope to hit a man sized target. -

I do get the wish to replicate and differentiate the various weapon types and representative calibers. If we're talking dream worlds then in addition I'd change the fire rates to more accurately match the real world counterparts. -
I’m flexible on price boys, truth is that’s what I paid for it, they ain’t getting any cheaper.
