Asian retailer Checkout w/ over 50% of RIF externals
Tinpotmartian replied to Zarrin's topic in UK Law
I'd put in your comments import codes 93040000 (air guns) Or 9305 parts and accessories. With a document licence code of 9020. "This product is exempt as it does not meet the definition of a firearm, component part of a firearm, ammunition or a restricted firearms accessory as detailed in domestic firearms legislation. This exemption covers items such as Air weapons not subject to control or restriction under domestic firearms legislation." A UKARA isn't a license it's a defense. A reason as to why you can have something the looks like a gun. It's used to make sure retailers aren't selling to muppets that go waving them around in streets. From past experience a lot of HK shop slap a big neon sticker on it say "Toy parts" -

Maybe it’s wrong answers only? I think we should change the challenge question to: what does “TM” stand for? if they don’t know who Tokyo Marui are. They don’t deserve to be here! -

I would hold off if you don't have a defense you can prove (HMRC will want a UKARA number) . A while back HMRC got wise to companies sending RIFs in bits and would stop parcels.
-
-
Do you mean my UKARA info? or just the nature of the shipment? I have not re-upped UKARA for a while.. wasn't really planning on doing so any time soon either 🤔
-
Better to just put the defence in the more info box just in case, you'd be towing the line at best.

Evening all, Was about to checkout some parts with an HK based retailer, but paused when I saw that the entirety of the basket could be construed as the majority of the externals for a RIF M4 Receiver M4 pistol grip M4 outer barrel & extensions M4 M-lok Hand guard (some other bits and bobs too: MP5 mags, battery highcap spinner, MP5 hand guard I'm not even buying all these components for a new build - I just have too many ARs that are due some new bits 😅 (i.e not deliberately trying to circumvent RIF import rules - but may be doing so inadvertantly) This particular shop tends to use HK Post which then goes onto RM or PF (So not UPS) I'm just wondering if that combo could actually get assessed as a RIF import and whether it would be more prudent to break the shipment into two lots (will cost me 15-20 quid more but that would be nothing compared to the stress of having to deal with BF etc - so that's probably my answer right there). I use Asian retailers all the time, but this might be the first time I've ended up with this much of a RIF in one go - hence the caution. Any recommendations or relevant experiences? that UPS thread is making me paranoid. (Sorry not mentioning the retailer name until I checkout as the schizo part of me is certain you people will steal the stuff right out of my basket!!!!! 🤣🤪 - some seriously insane prices there!)

@Ronin0033Been fiddling with it, the BBs are getting fed into the chamber so its not a mag issue, it seems that the mechanism isn't getting reset properly, so maybe the recoil spring is too strong and forcing the bolt into battery too soon?? Or could it be the classic disconnector issue, though surely it wouldn't fire at all then? Thoughts? -

Ooooooh Im liking the look of it, good to see more options for people who prefer their Warsaw pact guns, That and the PP2k are lovely little PDWs. Hopefully this one is good.

I don't see speedy bois as a bad thing or that it's just the sliding around on the floor stuff, it's the general hpa pistols with suppressors tracers, high cap m4 mags stuck on, big bright masks etc all the stuff you'd not normally associate with people doing the typical camo and skirmishing from back in the day. My reference to tactics being hard to apply was along the lines of, "I have made contact with the enemy, so I am going to go this way to flank them" only for the maze to take me somewhere nowhere near the enemy. For the size of the site I can completely understand why they have added loads of bits as they have and have a complex layout. I can't imagine it would be that fun or interesting to play again and again as a regular if it was too standard. I won't be returning to blackstone, I'd like to say (again) that the site and staff were great, me not returning isn't a reflection of them or their service. My comments on changes were just me thinking aloud (is that a thing when typing online?!) , great to hear they're already doing stuff and have run trials etc. I am sure they're working hard to provide the best experience they can for their customers. I don't think you have rubbished my experience at all, everything seems very civil. I only added in my experience because it's a post from someone saying "this is amazing" yet they haven't actually played there and for anyone reading to at least consider why it might not be for them.

I think its a mag issue, I have a VMP9 mag which isnt as bad as the original one but still does it. I am assuming you can file the inside down to make them not stick?
