Torkie Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Basically guys, Christmas is coming soon. and with the money i get from friends, family and mostly my Gran! I'll be able to buy a top notch airsoft gun. And throughout my whole airsoft life the thing i hate the most is seeing a target and not being able to hit it. And sadly watch my BB's fall down several feet infront of the enemy's feet. and as you may know i am not a sniper guy (You can tell since i'm selling my ARES L96). So I ask you all this; What is the best AEG for Range?
Supporters Rock-climby-Dave Posted December 6, 2011 Supporters Posted December 6, 2011 TM M14 Don't touch it and It'll serve you well for years to come, just be prepared for a weighty piece of kit.
lemon191 Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 agree with dave out of the box you cant go wrong with TM
Armourer Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 What does 'don't touch it' mean? xD and although i don't know much, TM or CA would be my choice.
Supporters Liam Porter Posted December 6, 2011 Supporters Posted December 6, 2011 Dave, doesn't the cut off lever, or whatever the semi auto thingy's called, wear down really fast on M14s? And 'don't touch it' means don't open it up or mess around with it I think. Double post - fml.
Armourer Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Ahhhh, TM's a bit temperamental when it comes to fiddling about inside with it? Just like my ex. I'm sorry! I just had to do it :'(

I just had to do it :'( tm are fine to upgrade, but they are pretty well set up out of the box and someone who doesnt know what they are doing could make it worse when upgrading parts
Supporters Finius Posted December 6, 2011 Supporters Posted December 6, 2011 My L85. I can consistently outperform pretty much anything at my home site. But I spent a lot of money and time tinkering with it
Supporters Rock-climby-Dave Posted December 6, 2011 Supporters Posted December 6, 2011 'Don't touch it' means don't open it up for any reason at all. Only go into it once something goes wrong - and even then, only if you are experienced.
Supporters M_P Posted December 6, 2011 Supporters Posted December 6, 2011 Tokyo marui socom/sopmod recoil shock
Nickona Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I definately think TM is going to be a safe bet for you!
Governor Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 best aeg for range....imho Real Sword SVD My mate has a TM M14 that was shooting at 280fps, he tried to upgrade it and it now shoots at 200fps...
Nickona Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 with TM they don't have much fps but they have excellent range
Torkie Posted December 7, 2011 Author Posted December 7, 2011 Am not feeling the M14 TM, it's just hasn't got that buzz for me. Any other mentionable AEG's close to the range of TM which will be upgradeable?
trooper whitten Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 my tm m4 has good range! when i used it at my local site i hit prity much every target i aimed at?
Black Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Any Tm, pref with V3 gearbox and one of them radial hop units with the big-ass dial (smoother, more precise, more stable, and easy to make VERY fine adjustments). Stick to this, and like said above, don't touch it other than to clean the barrel and tweak hop-up and you'll be cool. TM G36, and G3SAS are my two all time faves probably, and yeah i'm still on about range not cqb awesomeness too. My stock G3SAS's outdo every aeg i've ever owned (except my G36 when all the upgrades were new and it was running sweet), and are by far the quickest reflex shooters this side of a pistol loadout too (except possibly the mp5k sized smg aegs).
Supporters Finius Posted December 13, 2011 Supporters Posted December 13, 2011 Any AEG with a Tanio Koba Twist Barrel /thread. Just saying.
Supporters M_P Posted December 13, 2011 Supporters Posted December 13, 2011 Yeah, good call on the tk twist , only problem is that it limits your FPS to ~330
Supporters Finius Posted December 13, 2011 Supporters Posted December 13, 2011 But with 60m range out of anything that has one, and accurate to a torso at worst, who needs FPS?
Supporters M_P Posted December 13, 2011 Supporters Posted December 13, 2011 Personnel preference, I prefer using 0.28's so it helps
