Ron_Lancs Posted yesterday at 14:28 Share Posted yesterday at 14:28 Please see the below: am I missing something or do I just have a lemon? It won’t let me add a video for some reason but it rocks side to side
JimFromHorsham Posted yesterday at 14:34 Share Posted yesterday at 14:34 Just poor QC on either the rail or mount , it happens , if there is no way of adjusting the clamp then a couple of layers of tape of tape or some sticky foam on the underside of the scope mount will sort it. Supporters Adolf Hamster Posted yesterday at 14:48 Supporters Share Posted yesterday at 14:48 You mean against the rail? Option 1 is a number of qd levers act against a threaded rod, so you can unclip it, screw it in a few turns and it'll tighten (kinda like the qd levers on pushbike wheels) If it doesnt have that adjustment then a shim of cardboard (cerial packets are good for this) or plastic can also work Cannonfodder
The_Lord_Poncho Posted yesterday at 15:36 Share Posted yesterday at 15:36 As above, mine in that same style was wobbly until i realised there was a nut under the attachment point where the lever meets the mount. open the arm, tighten the nut, close the arm after - you should feel it grip the rail with a lot more tension. Supporters TheFull9 Posted yesterday at 15:53 Supporters Share Posted yesterday at 15:53 You don't even have to open the locking lever, just get an adjust'y on the nut on top of the pivot for said lever (hell, pliers if you don't have spanners). Little nip will do it, unless it's some weird af airsoft-special outlier that's super weirdly designed or your rail is monstrously out of spec. In which case go for the shimming mentioned previously. Supporters Lozart Posted yesterday at 15:53 Supporters Share Posted yesterday at 15:53 I have a couple of mounts like this. One of my Eotech clones (a G&G one) just WILL NOT tighten onto a rail as hard as I try. I do have a Spectre DR that has seen some heavy use to the point that the little plate that grabs onto the rail has become bent out of shape and also won't grip. Mind you, that weighs a ton so I'm not entirely bothered! Just now, TheFull9 said: airsoft, monstrously out of spec. Edited for brevity. Ron_Lancs Posted yesterday at 16:03 Author Share Posted yesterday at 16:03 Thanks guys, I’ll investigate when I get home and report back.
Ron_Lancs Posted yesterday at 18:34 Author Share Posted yesterday at 18:34 Investigated and it’s gnarled my rails on my top receiver. I’ve tried it backwards as well and it still wobbles. I’m thinking it’s the nuprol lemon. It’s looking like a new upper required as the rail has been chewed. It’s going up for £25 inc postage so if you’re interested it’s yours. I’m sick of looking at it.

That normally only happens if it's forced on too tight which goes against what you've said. Does the mount have some damage or bending? 🤔 Ron_Lancs
Ron_Lancs
The mount is fine. I have tried putting it on tight as it was loose which I imagine caused the receiver to scuff. I’d send pictures but as I’ve said above that’s enough for tonight and hopefully someone takes it off me. It might be user error but I’ve had enough. Drop me a message with your postage details, I have a spare base knocking about from where I switched to the unity. I'll send it to you so you can salvage your purchase.
