I first thought it was a made up replica by Double Eagle but it turns out it's actually based on a real firearm

Yeah I thought the same until I did a bit of research. Still love the gun even though I haven't used it that much though as not been to many games much recently.

I'm going to upgrade my bucking and nub as it struggles to lift anything over .20g

My little order from AK2M4 came through the post today (great service as always). New 240mm ZCI barrel paired with a gear parts omega nub and a old ML bucking. To finish off they are inside a new ZCI hop up unit.

Reason I've upgraded the hop up unit in all my DE guys is for 2 reasons;

The first is the arm has a different moulded end and the omega style nub doesn't fit in there properly.

Secondly the standard DE hop adjust wheel only has half the adjustment range as the ZCI or similar design (I used a specna arms one for reference).

Hopefully now it will lift and fire .30g as well and as far as my other DE guns.

In the market for a new ('not-an-M4') RIF and I keep circling back to this one and it's now on my 'short-list'.

Question is - how is the Falcon ETU at handling 11.1v LiPos out of the box? How has the unit generally held up with use?

I've been running 11.1v Li-Po's and Li-Io's in mine for over a year, and it's been faultless (the same with my DE rifle built to be a DMR, and my sons).

There are some on Reddit who really twist the knife into the Falcon controller and its reliability, however I'm betting (based on what I've read) that they've run them ragged on full auto and you really can get the cheap stock Chaoli motor very hot if you're a numpty / newbie and this is also negatively effecting the controller.

Nice one - thanks for that info.

Just to add I've got 3 DE guns and run them all on 11.1v, never had a problem.

My 904G must be coming up to 2 years old now, abuse full auto now and again, never opened it up to service the gearbox (sounds a little noisy now so might have to), still has the same RPM and FPS/joule it had out the box.

Also as it uses a V2 gearbox it will accept parts from your M4s

I've got 1. it looks like something dreamed up by an airsoft company but it's actually a copy of the LWRC SMG 45. internally it uses the same Falcon gearbox as the M9XX series so is pretty rock solid. biggest problem is trying to carry the extra mags as they are about the same length as a P90 mag.

Finally got my mag adapters to run the more manageable mp5 mags.

mag wobble is no more than the standard magazines. I'll test them out this weekend for any feeding issues

Very interesting; where did you get them from?

This is actually really cool! Didn’t realise it was actually based on a real firearm. Kinda makes me want one even more now 😂

Hate to revive such an old thread, but how did you get your ZCI plastic hop to play nice? I just got your average macaron/zci plastic today (also from AK2M4 lol) and while I've managed to test perfectly fine and get good results, I can't get anything in when it comes to full assembly. Even with just the two metal rods that guide the UTR branded bolt (with no springs, nor the bolt) it prevents me from getting it in as it's getting stuck on something, even after pushing the hop into place like you mentioned. Did you do some fitment?
