Supporters jcheeseright Posted December 17, 2013 Supporters Share Posted December 17, 2013 depends what you want really. If you want something that'll look and feel pretty (ish), but sit in a holster for most of the year because it doesn't shoot that well... get the KSC. If you want something that's plastic (really, who cares) but will be able to hit people at 50 metres and will cycle all year round, get a TM. Tariq
ksc are sometimes plastic as they are for the Japanese market. Kwa are the US marketed ones that will be better. they shoot just as well as tm pistols. I see tm hicapas jam up all the time, my Kwa atp has never done so. I do aipsc so these pistols go through a lot of wear and tear. works in freezing temperature and out ranges most aegs, including tm ones. tm work well because they are plastic and have good hop units. Kwa pistols work well because they have a better gas system, which allows them to stay on par with tm, while keeping metal slides. hop units work nearly just as well, just slightly fidley to adjust without the key. I go Kwa everyday. fits real holsters, works in cold, metal slides.

Bluenose
It depends what model of pistol you want... For Glocks I'd go with KSC / KWA - solid performers and with a hop you can adjust without dismantling the gun. For 1911 variants, I'm TM or TM clones all the way. If it's an M9, TM even though mine is a WE (I went for looks over performance on this one. For anything exotic like an FN 5-7 or a Desert Eagle, go TM. Tariq
The KWA 226 is also flawless.
Fatknees
it looks like I'll be getting a tm 1911 unless anybody can convince me other wise?
Jedi Knight
I just bought a TM P226 E2 and it is awesome. Seriously, do not worry about the plastic slide, on my TM P226 E2 the plastic one looks and feels better than some full metal ones I have seen, the pistol is extremely well built, very solid and has a good weight to it. I used it in extremely cold weather last week and it cycled and performed flawlessly (around 2/ 2,5 mags per gas fill). Taking all this into account, plus the availability of upgrade parts and spares, the TM wins in my book. I was torn in pretty much in the same way you are (I was choosing between the TM P226 E2 or the KWA USP .45) I don't regret my choice at all. Supporters M_P Posted December 23, 2013 Supporters Share Posted December 23, 2013 it looks like I'll be getting a tm 1911 unless anybody can convince me other wise? When it comes to 1911s, a TM is the only one worth getting.
