I don't usually post links to other forums, but this one, I think maybe all should take a look at.

not even clicking such dirt.

what's occouring then?

Due to Cybergun holding so many trademarks, it's now illegal to import TM guns as these breach cyberguns trademarks

Thank god I've found a seller with a P226 + 3 spare mags then. £160 is very reasonable considering this news.

I just wish I had £160... Bollocks.

Don't worry about the glock's, no one holds a licence for them ;) Nor the XDM's i believe- probably hicapa's too.

The worst thing is that what they're doing is legal :/

I guess TM recoils will go up in price on the second hand market too.

But yeah Cybergun suck.

It reads "into this country". Does that mean these TM products will be available elsewhere?

So the Brit retailers can't import, but what is to stop you personally buying internationally as per usual? I can see some international retailers still selling them to UK customers as they need the business..

It's not like customs are going to open every RIF/IF package to go to the lengths of finding out if the item breaches someone's trademarks and copyright licences.

Depends on Customs im guessing.

"this country" will check and destroy them when found to be unlicenced.

Glock doesn't have a company holding licences ... although that didn't stop them screwing KWA over their glocks a while back.

Someone on Zin posted this:

@Rampage I don't troll, My own past experience of cybergun trying this on is my basis andI picked up the phone and called HMRC and as my phonecall seems to echo what @black templar says, customs will not pursue trademark issues,it is not in their remit, call them and ask, trades falls under trading standards and as said is a civil matter which Cybergun would need to pursue by harrassing individual stockists of trademarks they own, bear in mind this isn't France and they have to satisfy UK courts they have a right to claim ownership of the trademarks in question, which thankfully isn't as easy here.

And this over on TAE

Bit of an update for you lovely folks, I've just given a few UK retailers a call (Wolf Armouries and Airsoftworld.net). Frenchie at Airsoftworld.net stated that Cybergun hasn't tried to press on with any legal moves and because of that they'll be continuing to stock TM products. WA plain haven't heard anything about this. This could be limited to Z1 or it could be simply Cybergun trying it on with Z1.

I spoke to Fire support about the issue today and they assured me that they would still be receiving their TM order next week.

Mad Badger say, as above, that this is not france and so they would have to handle their stuff in a way that UK courts agree with. They also said that they will only be taking away the huge TM orders, as the small ones, (again stated above) would be a waste of time for customs to check through.

Quote from mad badger on their page: "Won't affect our imports. In fact we got TM kit today and it was fully marked up as TM on the invoices."

also just a funny quote to share that was on the same post by another guy: "Well some retailers haven't heard anything about it apparently and won't stop stocking TM (for now at least) Wouldn't want to be behind the cybergun stand at the NAE this year ;)"

We'll see before making assumptions, it seems we have insufficient information as Dev pointed out, does it affect individual importers? Well again referring to something else MB said,

"The exclusive importer has a right to take action under the Tesco Case but the reality of legal action is that it is only worth taking it against large importers." [ignore the bit about tesco, they were talking about another case similar to this]
