Hoping this will help locals give this site consideration for a visit, sorry for the wall of text. Armageddon Airsoft: The Woodland - £20 walk on. First time at this site depsite being on my doorstep and I have nothing negative to say about anything within the sites control. The site had a raffle for a CYMA Deagle AEP on the day at £2.50 per ticket. Staff were super friendly and chatted with all players all day (incuding the owner) even getting involved in the games later on. No issues with hit taking or similar. Everyone attending was there to have fun. Three dogs mooching around the safe area at all times is always appreciated. Longer break between game modes due to the warmer weather we've been having. We started out with a 'capture the objective' game mode where teams had to activate/de-activate lights on an objective box between the two team spawns. Our team were second to the objective but handily dispatched the other team and defended thee objective as the enemy team declined to use the better sight lines afforded from their side of the field. Great comms across all players. Second game was an attack/defend scenario further back in the site. Defenders with 3 lives, attackers with unlimited. The defenders who last the longest win. We attacked first getting bogged down (quite literally) in some places due to stubborn defenders who were eventually relieved. Again, no issues with hit taking or similar. Switching sides meant we were defending and we had elected to not reload our mags leading to a overly long delay into the attack as the attackers filled up. We outlasted the attackers despite some minor confusion over how much of the site was playable (given it's literally a block of woodland). Regardless, we held out and won. By lunchtime, it was 2-0. Sadly, players left during lunch but that can't be helped. Teams shuffled randomly to assist balance. After lunch was capture the flag. The flag was in a very exposed middle area between the two spawns. I'm pretty sure the bolt action players could reach each other spawn. The field was super wide but narrow if that makes sense. Mostly my focus was on the right flank as it had some heavy shrubs/bracken offering concealment and limited structures for cover. After fumbing a pyro throw and being killed by a likewise reply I went left from spawn and moved through the pyramid style barricades and log walls that had been constructed. After 4 or 5 clean semi-auto kills the action on my flank died down and game end was called with the enemy team getting the win. 2-1. It was during this game that half my charging handle decided to drop off. Amazing. The final game I played was 'duo kill confirmed' where everyone had one armband which was your 'life'. If you got hit, you counted to 10. If, within that 10 seconds, anyone came to claim your armband (and you were left without one) you were out. If you counted to 10 and no one claimed it, you were back in. The spicy rule to this game; if you killed someone and took their band, it's a extra life. In theory, you could have as many lives as players on the field if you killed them all and took their bands. If the enemy you killed had multiple bands, you can only take one while they count down from 10. For this game mode, myself and the player I was teamed with purposely backed ourselves into the corner of the play area so that we only had two angles to watch. We were engaged in a lengthy trade off with another duo resulting in nothing but wasting ammo and the enemy duo retreating as well as discovering strange hop issues arising from both our rifles. Fuck. After a few minutes of fuckery, we managed to get our rifles settled in time for TWO separate teams joining forces against us, pushing from both sides. This was our Alamo and my excuse to break out all of the pyro I had brought. One of the enemy split away and pushed to our left who I 'killed' several times but was never close enough for me risking running to take his band. My partner was in a slightly elevated tower watching the mid and right, delaying the other three enemies as much as physically possible. Eventually the enemy on my left got close enough I could just throw pyro at him to get the kill and delay his attack but still not close enough to take his band. Then it happened so quick, my partner was hit, I killed his killer, I was killed, partner was back in - killing my killer allowing me back in, rinse and repeat. The enemy pushed closer all the time this was going on and eventually ended with myself and my partner being out and we watched the final two teams constantly trade fire two feet away from each other while laughing before calling it a draw realising it was fruitless. Negative: In small areas it was boggy, almost lost a boot at one point Also, nettles suck which I knelt in a few times plus thorns. Nothing new to woodlands players. Positive: What a great day, will definitely be going back here. Owners, site, level of play, game modes and players were fantastic. Can't recommend enough.

Hey all! We are a Scotland-based airsoft team (with a page on this site!) and I'd like to introduce our YouTube channel. Our newest video is from a recent Halloween charity event where the team came dressed as holy men (a Cardinal and his Monks), taking our role seriously in an effort to inspire our team to victory. We wrote a small piece about it on our website, too. We're not professional video-makers or anything, the channel has a small following, but we enjoy playing the game and hope to share some of the fun via Youtube. The channel's got plenty of gameplay footage from a bunch of Scottish sites, such as Section 8, the Depot, Area 66, Enemy Down, the Fort, and Fife Wargames, for anyone looking to check out any sites in advance of their visits, as well as a few trips into England to places like Dirty Dog and Level 2! After quite the hiatus, I stopped making excuses and got out there again to die for the Emperor at Area 66 yesterday, with my freshly painted and sanctified XR-5 doing lasgun duties. Looks great, shoots like an under-hopped, under-powered, over-weight piece of junk that required wild bursts of fire to hit anything. So, a pretty good facsimile then. Fun was had in the heat, but it was strictly a walking day. I binned off the costume and junk-gun at lunch and went out TAC-41 sniping in the afternoon with much more success. The out-of-the-box-plus-a-spring performance of those things is great, but I'd make a rubbish sniper - far too much chuckling and "Git rekt, scrub!" from the bushes. It was a decent day despite a big stag-do party being there, they were split up and generally played OK. Not enough marshals, but fortunately not much need for them. One interesting thing they did was to tag guns with a cable-tie, but not trim it until walk-on for the first game, which is a commendable attempt to catch chrono-dodgers and make pre-game chrono a bit more meaningful.

Just gotten my gear out of long term storage, been away from it for about 3 years ish, what’s the points to check/replace before play. Haven’t gassed it up yet or anything just looking ahead. clean it out, relube, I imagine the bucking won’t have enjoyed itself? Will it need replacing or? cheers

Today, I finally found the time to install my Flamingo 60 bucking, Titan nub, and Crazjet inner barrel (250mm) into my N4 Noveske. However, I was disappointed with the results I got. When I tested my upgraded N4, the range and accuracy were almost the same as when it was stock. I couldn't think of anything I might have done wrong. Have any of you encountered this problem before? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Note: I was using the mag EMG Helios Noveske N4 M4 MWS Gen 3 Gas Magazine by Double Eagle ( Hate these mags but it is only available atm) With nurpol green gas and 0.32 BB

All of the foams do the same basic job of providing padding. Simple basic foam, uncut will happily compress to hold and protect your equipment. You can put pretty much anything in the case, in any position and unless it’s too thick preventing you from forcing shut and as long as you don’t put in too much equipment in too close then it will hold and protect. The items may slip around a bit bumping into each other depending on how close and how tight the fit is vs how hefty the items are. You can cut in to standard foam to make pockets to avoid your equipment sliding and to make shutting easier Standard foam can be cut with a knife with good or bad looking results being dependant on how carefully you cut - or use a laser cut A single piece/layer of foam can be more difficult to cut neatly into the right depths for various different items Pick and pluck is typically used in two pieces/layers - one layer as standard foam, and the other piece/layer as a precut grid with small points uncut. You plan your layout then ‘pick and pluck’ ripping out the squares that you want to place your equipment in. This results in a pixelated style, or you can cut some of the grid with a knife (or laser cut - but if you’re laser cutting then you’ve defeated the object of using pick & pluck) Shadow foam is a brand, which comes in multiple colours, eg standard grey on the top layer and a bright colour in the lower layer(s)*. Therefore when cut to fit your equipment an empty slot is obvious as you can see a coloured ‘shadow’ Shadow foam is inspired by the wall mounted shadow boards traditionally used in workshops, schools and prisons to make it obvious when a tool is missing * Note that I have referred to ‘pieces’ and ‘layers’. These are not technical terms, but just me referring to how many blocks of foam you put into the case. Normally you could think of it as a top and bottom for the lid and base. But the bottom / base could be two pieces of foam such as with pick & pluck - one whole block approx half the depth of the base of your case and a second on top that you cut/pluck apart to form the gaps that you insert your equipment in A single piece of ShadowFoam is made of a number of layers. When you cut the shape you then peel out a layer of foam. A thin piece of equipment can be accommodated with one layer peeled out a thicker piece of equipment needs more than one layer peeled out to give greater depth. Hi all, I’m a relatively experienced airsofter & have been playing with AEGs for the past 18 years… Recently I’ve dipped my toe into the GBBR world & come into possession of a WE open bolt SCAR H. This thing is an absolute beast & the recoil is mega. Just wondering what the verdict is on these things? Like, what’s the life expectancy of the stock parts… is there anything I should consider upgrading before even playing with it? Any advice ref parts & reliable UK based retailers/stockists for said parts would be great. Thanks in advance!! Picture is just for attention…

Hello, I've been doing airsoft a couple of years but I'm very new to GBBR and the mk18 mws is my first gas gun so apologise for any stupid questions, any help is massively appreciated! Firstly I got the gun out read the manuals (looked at the pictures) there was one picture that confused me abit about splitting the gun as I've never done it before and don't want to be stuck if I ever need to, what position does the bolt need to be in when taking out the pins and splitting, logic tells me forward but I've learnt not to trust logic haha. Also is there anything else i should know? Secondly is there anything I should change or do to the gun immediately or just wait until I need to do it. I have had a look on YouTube but everyone seems to call things different names and I'm not massively clued up anyway. Third I made the decision to use nuprol 2.0 green gas as I couldn't find any dry gas available in the uk and I don't mind the extra maintenance (once I know how), problem is I use 0.28g and its firing 305fps which would be too hot for uk limits but then it fires 330 on 0.20g which is ok so I'm not really sure how that is happening and what I need to do if I want to use 0.28g as I'm worried about using weaker gas incase i break something. Finally, using green gas, how often would you recommend cleaning. i attend games every Sunday sometimes every other Sunday. Once again thank you for any help i didn't realise how stressful it would be but i kind of like it haha.

Greetings, Heading into first year of Uni later this year. And I was hoping to double check with anyone here that I've done all my relevant checks before I head off to university with the slice of my collection I select to bring along with me. Specifically, I'm heading to Cardiff Uni (Hopefully). They have an Airsoft society, so I'm also going to ask in their socials some of the more specific stuff to cardiff uni. So this post is more for general advice from any other Uni Airsofters or anyone who lives in shared living. Main questions are: Is it alright to store my stuff in my Dorm room? How can I secure my stuff relatively cheaply? (Worst case, a flatmate or other person gets into my room and tries to nick them. How do I protect from that without buying a gun safe?) How transparent with flatmates should I be about my stuff - Should I explicitly state and show my guns, or do I hide them, etc...? What's the best way to transport my stuff outside my dorm in the city so that I don't have to worry about any panic? (I already have gunbags, but I'm a little worried they're still gonna understandably cause some panic) Obscure money saving tips, I already have all the general tips, but there's always something new I could learn. Any oddities to Airsoft in Wales? And anything else that might be relevant that I haven't though of. Anything helps.

Hello All, first discussion post though I've visited the forums pretty much daily for the past few years. My usual group have decided that we're most likely not attending our usual "large airsoft gathering" that takes place each year, and have been looking at alternatives. We've found one, linked below, titled Operation Scorpio taking place in early May. From what we can gather there's 2 elements, gameplay wise, a tournament which we're not too fussed about, as well as an ongoing scenario across 5 days of airsoft. Definitely doesn't appear to be a Milsim event, but as a large ongoing scenario type event, it sounds interesting. https://www.operation-scorpio.net/ The issue is this appears to have not been run before from what I've found, which raises some concerns around it. I wanted to reach out here to see if anyone's in the know about this event, or even involved of it's setup and management. It's quite hard to judge the scale of it with some of the information on the above site, so any information would be appreciated. Also eager to hear what people think about it in general. tl;dr - New Airsoft Event this year near Gloucester, does anyone know anything about it? PS - I've had a search for the keywords in the forums and not found anything so far!

Hello all and thanks in advance for the suggestions. I’m after some advice on what upgrades to get for my 6 year old M4 ngrs. I’ve already put a bigger spring in and flat hopped it with purple bucking, I’m more after advice on the gearbox side. I only ever use it in semi so I was thinking a mosfet (bonus of it not locking up, my fault I know) and while I’m in there anything else really? My budget is £400 cheers guys.
