  1. Unfortunately I only have access to the one at the mo'. I have 8 Mag mags, I'm noticing some really inconsistent feeds throughout. The .20's have no issues. I also just tried a hi cap (The one that came with) and it seems to be fine so it's pointing to the mags?
  2. Hi all, I've just been messing about with my G&G T4 18, I've tried using some .23 Blaster BB's and there's a couple issues! First I can't put anywhere near as many BB's in my 130 round mid cap (MAG) mags, it's actually quite hard to push them in compaired to .20 gram balls using a G&G speed loader. I reckon I can put in about 90 max. When firing I'm getting loads of "Derps" and jams. Then all of a sudden it works fine! If I swap back to .20's it works faultlessly! Any ideas??
  3. Ah right, I'm pretty puzzled by this gun. Obviously mine broke very quickly and I've heard a mix of people saying they have had the same issue. Should this be a reliable workhorse gun or do people tend to lean toward the metal slide/green gas option?
  4. Ah right! I take it the plastic slide is the reason that 144a is the choice gas? or is it for something internally?
  5. The slide comes with a complete blowback/hop up and barrel. Frustratingly I can't try it till I get the gun back, I spoke to the company today, Hopefully this may be resolved as they agreed that the powerspray couldn't have damaged the slide, I just thought it may be an idea to utilize the strength of the metal slide with the quality of the TM internals. By using a metal slide would I not be able to use Green gas now?
  6. Well, I managed to win the metal slide . At the moment I don't have the gun as I sent it back to the company for inspection, can I ask has anyone else upgraded a PX4 or even another TM pistol with a metal slide? Does it badly mess up the quality of shot etc? Also, Is it possible to remove the blowback mech and hop up from the original plastic slide and drop them into the metal slide? (Therefore I won't be messing with the performance too much).
  7. No they didn't open the package. There were 3 packages in total and all 3 arrived without any question of what was inside. All 3 were declared at $20 but one was mistaken at $200. The cost of shipping on that one was $57 priority as it had the rail/inner barrel and paperwork. (Plus my friend also chucked in a couple of rare GI Joe comics). So the total was $257, 20% of that was $51.40 plus the £16 handling fee as it was rushed through as a priority item so the total I paid was £50.63 (I have no clue what exchange rate they used). So maybe not massive but £50 which was due to them not reading! The label clearly read $20 with no fading on any of the numbers. Like I said, i've had this kind of issue before and argued with them probably about 8 times in the last 3-4 years!
  8. I live about a 10 minute drive from the site so it makes sence to use it! The South coast seems to be pretty good in terms of Airsoft venue's, I also have the Combat South sites about a 40 minute drive.
  9. This is the third time it's happened since Christmas and I recieve approx 500+ packages from the US each year, most stuff is left alone but when this kind of thing happens it's a pain in the ass to get compensation or refund! I have the neccesarry BOR form saved on my desktop. Dealing with them is like pulling teeth! I'll end up spending a good £20 on phone calls due to this latest cock up
  10. Thanks for all the replies! Good to know that I won't stick out like a sore thumb It's interesting hearing about people getting tired out after a day (or even half a days) play, I'm going to use this as an excuse to keep myself in better shape. My son is only 5 at the moment so It'll be a while before I can get him involved but most kids love playing army (I certainly did) so hopefully I can introduce it to him naturally.
  11. Just a quick follow up, The gun arrived in the last week, My only issue was the dumb ass customs tw*ts misread $20 as $200 and I had a bl**dy massive charge to pay. I've had this before and I know I can get my money back (After about 6 weeks).
  12. Hi all, I thought i'd take a moment and introduce myself properly, I've started a couple of dopey threads already and thought it about time I made a proper introduction. My names Graham, I live in Worthing Sussex and I work as a postman. I come from a toy collecting background (GI Joe & a bit of Star Wars), I got into Nerf with my 5 year old and I think that's sparked a need for an accurate RIF and a new group of friends. Through a good friend that Skirmishes regularly I've been introduced to the whole "Airsoft world". I'm due to go to my first Skirmish in October at Elite in Worthing, I've been buying a shed load of stuff recently, mainly finaced by selling a chunk of my Joe collection. One thing about me is I don't do things by halves, a couple of my friends are in the ATC as Leaders and I'm lucky to have access to an indoor firing range which has been a great help! I look forward to starting and hopefully opening the next chapter in my money spending and friend making Snakeeyes75
  13. I just bought one from evike but I'll certainly keep an eye on that one! Cheers
  14. Just got them, fired off a full clip with no issues! Worth every penny
  15. Yeah, it actually still fires very level but after about 15-20 meters the BB will wander off to the left.
  16. No worries mate, it was worth asking! I'm just trying to find out if the Nub is supposed to be even, I guess it is?
  17. Can you do me a small favour? Could you take out your hop/inner barrel and check how the nub sits in the barrel. Does the metal piece that holds it in look bent? The nub seems to stick out more to the left than be right??? I just noticed late last night, it's shooting straight up to 20 meters, haven't had a chance to test it at further distance.
  18. Just checked, EVIKE have them at about $45, would I be able to use the TM hop unit and inner barrel?
  19. So for a company that make supposedly the best airsoft they have zero customer services? I should have thought twice about buying it, pity as it shoots bloody amazingly!
  20. Would a retailer not have the ability to get parts? The easiest solution if I can't get a free replacement is to just buy one from them. From Googleing TM PX4 problems it looks like quite a lot of people have had similar issues with the slide cracking at the exact same place. Concidering this is supposed to be green gas safe and I'm using a lesser powerful gas, even if the plastic was weakened (Which I'm not convinced a wipe down with fairy can do) the thing shouldn't break after 10 shots. There's no damage the other side at all. I can see this is just going to be an "Egg on my face" experience, I'll let you know how I get on
  21. Believe me I know what you mean, I used to be a modelmaker and I know a bit about plastics, the Fairy "Power spray" (My apologies, for some reason I had Turbo in my head) can be used to clean most plastics including resins which are more porous, I've never had any issues cleanining off ABS and polycarb's. I think I've unfortunately bought a gun with an issue and what's probably going to screw up any replacement is the fact that i've removed the green paint. I wish I'd tried it before Would this fit: http://www.rsov.com//product.php?langId=1&currencyId=1&manufacturerId=10&prodId=16087&cateId=0
  22. Really?? I've used it before on plastics and it's never been an issue? If I'm going to have to buy a new slide how do I contact TM??
  23. I've just (Today) received my TM PX4, I had it two toned and as soon as it arrived stripped it using Fairy Turbo. I then loaded 10 rounds and fired them off, to my horror the end of the slide cracked! I was using Abbey Predator 144a gas which I was told was the correct one! Now, I've used the Fairy Turbo on plastics before and never had an issue, I can't see how that could have damaged it but any help would be appreciated! I've contacted the company I bought it from but there's been no response so far
  24. Thanks very much! I look forward to getting them and hopefully getting my gun working better
