As the title says, I'm wondering if airsoft SLR's would take the wooden furnture from an original rifle. Or can you get airsoft versions with wood? (see pic of me holding what I want lol) Look about but cant seem to find an answer

zombie apocalypse.....would your gun do the job!?
ronin677 replied to Pointman PUG's topic in General Discussion
In the event of zombie Britain I'd run straight to a local museum (like this one at Norwich) and suit myself up with this (and the sword). Oh yer, zombiefest -
Will an Airsoft Gun 'Scare Off' a Fox?
ronin677 replied to Jourdan_S's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
I have to agree with everybody else on this issue. I can empathize with you on the fox being a nuisance but to shoot one without being properly qualified and licensed is unacceptable behaviour. But as I said I empathize with you, so I have done a little research and found this useful web-site. I hope it helps with your current problem. http://www.royalgreenwich.gov.uk/info/431/pest_control/16/help_with_fox_problems -
Really this is all good advice My background is not in lubricants but I am a qualified civil engineer and have far too many years under my belt to even hint at my age haha All this info is really informative and is allowing me to make an objective decision on what to use and where once again thanks for all the feed back, it is really appreciated

Debate is good, its how we all learn something new (good and bad) and expand our knowledge. I know a lot of you have seen this topic discussed many times, but I am still inexperienced to this subject and I am appreciating all the comments. Its nice that there are so many different views as this allows me to investigate new avenues of thought that I had not thought of. The wealth of knowledge here is tremendous and I definitely think I'm in the correct forum to gain the knowledge I require thanks Guys

Well I've lubed up the barrel and the hop up rubber. I'll let you all know how it pans out.

Hi I have just bought this. It says it is safe to use on rubber, so it it ok for my AEG hop up unit, rubber and barrel? cheers Jon

Lots of great answers guys. I will probably go with my shooting glasses or these glasses (see photo), and for my teeth I've decided to wear a gum shield. Thanks for the comments. Lots to consider and at the end of the day it all comes down to risk, which I'm sure I can mitigate cheers Jon

Well as the title says I am interested in peoples opinions on wearing shooting glasses in airsoft. You only get one pair of eyes and I am concerned about bb's finding their way in through the gaps around the edges? thoughts? Cheers Jon

STANTA in Norfolk? Great place. I got to play in the Afghan village there, the week before it opened to the regs (unofficailly with the ACF haha)

This is what happens when you have spare time on your hands haha

Got to admit I just bored out the holes by hand with a drill bit (just enough to remove the paint layer). I also filled down the ridges on the pin with a fine file. The pin goes in and out a lot easier now but is solid enough not to drop out. I am now contemplating fixing the lower receiver on the inside with liquid metal. It will be tricky as I need to grind an angle to fill with the gloop. might just leave it though
