  1. Just incredible! I can't say enough good things about it. I was on semi the whole game as my FPS with a .28 was like 310 so they restricted me to semi only and it took minimal shots to get targets 40 to 50 metres away. Flight path was so straight it was like having a semi automatic sniper rifle and the only upgrade inside of the Scar is a madbull 6.03 inner barrel. You could pretty much one shot hit someone at 40+ metres no problems.
  2. You found one! Many thanks my friend you have my gratitude.
  3. Thank you. I use a 7.4 Lipo with it and .28g bb's, went out to skirmish and got 17 kills. Was very satisfied with it.
  4. They do seem nice. However, I have a G&G Scar-L now but might one day pick one up.
  5. A universal holster would be your best bet. Otherwise any M1911 holster should do. I use a solid Blackhawk! M1911 CQC in A-Tacs for my Hi-Capa.
  6. Thanks Mack. I know the top two but the rest are new. Thanks again, I'll check them out.
  7. Thank you mate, I'll check them out. P.s I like your signature GIF. Makes me chuckle, what's it from?
  8. Most site's rental guns are RIF anyway so just have fun. I let my son use my RIF guns and nobody minds. Much better then running round with a bright orange gun that stands out like a high vis jacket in headlights.
  9. Hello all, I hope you're all doing well. I'm looking for some links to Asian (Hong Kong preferably) websites that offer free shipping and ridiculous bargains on airsoft bits and bobs. Just like my wife I love a good bargain. I already know a few but just link any you know I'm sure a few new one will pop up. Thanks guys!
  10. So browsing though 7.4v LiPo batteries today and noticed they all say (12c), (15c) or (20c) etc. I understand it's how many cells it has but what does it effect? It's power? It's charge life?

30C is a bit too high, and 20's a little low.....

So Goldilocks should choose a 25c that is just right

sorry just being silly once again

I have bought some of these:

      ebay item: 131212457347

yes needs a converter but size is perfect fit for some guns - max oomph for a compact size - use an adpter lead atm but will resolder some tamiya on there eventually - just size shape is good for me

      2 cell = 3 wires for 7.4v lipo

      3 cell = 4 wires for 11.1v or 9.9v life batteries

  11. Will an M120 spring will give around 340 to 350FPS? Also, what kind of motor will be required to effectively use the gun at that FPS? (Specific brands please I already know I will need a high torque)

      Righto. What motor?

M120 should give up to 400FPS depending on the air seal quality. No point in purposefully going with a weak motor. Go for the SHS High torque or ZCI high torque motor. AK2M4 are a good shop to buy the ZCI motor from and you can find SHS high torques anywhere. Both are reliable and fantastic bang for buck, both are the better motors around.

  12. Does anyone have a Holographic sight that would swap/ trade for an Aimpoint Comp M2?

  13. So I need a belt of 5.56x45 NATO round or .223 rounds for a M249 SAW MK2. I've seen plenty of dummy belts with cheesy looking metal bullets, but I'm more after real rounds that have been emptied. Can anyone help me in finding a belt of approximately 10 to 20 real 5.56x45 or .223 rounds without a £30+ price tag?

6.03 is fine, you don't have to go PDI either. Any half decent tightbore will do - this is a support weapon we're talking about here not a 17lb, full auto sniper rifle! It's just that the original A&K barrel is a bit pants and a better hop rubber never hurt anyone.

      A 17lb full auto sniper sound's good. ;)

  15. Would a high torque motor damage a M90 spring then?

but he's just changing the motor so can't check for either of those things.

personally I'd do one thing at a time, get higher discharge rate batteries first as they're the easiest thing, then if that's not enough look to replace the motor.

I always start with simple things like Deans connectors and a rewiring job, before diving in the GB and tuning. I generally don;t recommend swapping parts unless you REALLY need to since most stock parts are grand

Thanks guys, like jcheese said, just looking to swap the motor as is kind of sluggish. However like he also said it's probably because I use a 9.6v Nickel battery. Dean connectors and a 7.4v lipo then?

  16. Hold on let me check.
  17. I understand now, many thanks for all your help. I desire a high rate of fire no longer since all your help in explaining it actually wears your gearbox even more. I'll go by what I've learnt, maybe get a high torgue motor, 7.4 LiPo, and deans connectors and leave it? I do apologise for my lack of technical knowledge. You've all certainly helped me fully understand that I don't need to have a £900 maxed out gun to be better than everyone else's. I'm glad I joined this forum into a community with so many great guys.
  18. Yes, that's the one. I must sincerely apologise and at the same time thank you for showing your true colours. I just didn't appreciate sarcasm to my lack of knowledge as a middle aged guy. So I apologise, but thank you for explaining in great detail the whole "upgrading" aspect of airsoft. I didn't realise it was so basic. You're right about those 14 year olds as most reviews on YouTube are around that age. My son watches that Scoutthedoggy guy on YouTube and in his videos you always see guys with maxed out guns and they always get the hits. However, after your explanation it's simply logic, more friction means more wear. So thank you.
  19. Many thanks for being a little more mature with your reply. I just thought with all these aftermarket parts that gearboxes were technologically advanced boxes packed with miniature bits and bobs. I've never opened one so I hope you can understand my lack of knowledge and believing what airsoft websites say.
  20. However yes, I do believe it has systema gears inside but is that all a gearbox has inside of it?
  21. Your sarcasm makes me laugh my friend, but is there any need? I'm simply going by what all these airsoft websites say is "good for your gun", "an essential upgrade", " increases the range and accuracy of your airsoft gun". I'm no airsoft veteran that's been playing it since the ice age. I simply play to have fun with my son. Nothing wrong with spending money to make it a little bit better and letting it last longer. I only asked for help with a MOSFET and what their purpose is and this post only got to gearbox internals when someone explained hard wiring. This is new to me, I do not own twenty airsoft guns, I do not dissemble gearboxes for fun, I know very little about airsoft I just play for fun. So please take your sarcastic comments elsewhere as its not needed for someone simply asking for help and going by what I hear.
  22. It's those small changes that make a big difference. Apart from helping it function better and last longer, it will perform that little bit better than everyone else's AEG. Giving you an advantage on the battlefield.
  23. Visually it is nice, internally it's just the same as any other stock gun, you want to improve it.
  24. In my entire 38 years alive I have not once soldered anything.. Pretty bad huh? But of course, there are other factors stopping me doing it myself. Such as, I have no idea how to disassemble my TM AK, and I have no knowledge on AEG gearboxes. I will just end up turning it to turd, breaking a very nice weapon.
  25. "Ultra Torque" or "Max Speed" motor?

    1. Unrustle_Thine_Jimmies

      Unrustle_Thine_Jimmies

Torque. Speed motors heat up and sh*t themselves from any bit of stress. With torque you can run a high speed gearset and get better ROF,trigger response and more efficiancy overall

    2. DEDSEC
    3. AK47frizzle

      AK47frizzle

max speed is when you want high rof with high ratio gears like 18:1 or 32:1. Torque motors are for high speed gears and powerful springs because normal stock motors aren't strong enough to pull them
