    Pew Hub

Does anyone know anything about pew hub . co . uk ? (I’ve spaced it out in case it’s dodgy) I’ve not heard of them, but they seem to have the VFC M110 gbb in stock. I’ve not been able to find it anywhere in the U.K. and I’m wondering if anyone has experience of this site.
  2. Yeah, the FNX is really nice. I had the VFC one a while ago, but sold it. I’ve seen a couple of real steel with RMR’s fitted and it does look good. It’s an option I suppose.
  3. Shame you sold them. I wouldn’t be totally against buying an already complete setup.
  4. You’re probably right about the re-assembly thing, but I took it apart and put it back together again a number of times and couldn’t work out the issue. I ended up selling it a while ago because it frustrated the crap out of me. Hence looking for another one. It is purely for looks and so I probably will go for the clone RMR. The SRO gives a better sight picture with its wider aperture so from a functional point of view it is possibly the better option, but for pure aesthetics the RMR looks better. Those are some nice Glocks you have there. I take it there’s no cut out on the 22? Is the plate mounted into the rear sight space? That’s how I had mine mounted.
  5. I’m looking to fit a reflex sight to one of my pistols, either my Umarex Glock 17 or 19. Possibly something else. I’m torn between the RMR or the SRO so I was hoping to see some of your builds for inspiration. What have you mounted and onto what, and what issues have you encountered? I did have an RMR mounted on a Umarex Glock 17 a while ago, but it seemed to interfere with the slide which kept sticking. Anyone else experienced this issue and did you manage to solve it?
  6. There’s any number of reasons why the officer didn’t fire, anything from not having a clear background for over penetration or a miss, to information being passed that it was likely a replica firearm. But that said, from that picture I think he would be totally justified in taking the shot. Although whether the IOPC, press, social media and 5 to 10 years of inquests and court cases would think the same is another matter. Massive credit to the officer though for the bravery and restraint shown. Stuff like this shows the stupidity of the laws around replica firearms in this country. You have to prove a defence in order to buy a black or realistic coloured airsoft gun, but you can walk into any outdoor activity shop and buy a black pellet gun which looks exactly the same. I can just imagine the comments from people seeing this wanting anything that looks like a gun banned, regardless of the fact that the only person who’s life was at risk in this situation was the idiot with the BB gun. As far as I’m concerned you should be able to buy what ever replica you want and if you’re stupid enough to act like this idiot with it, then so be it. Let Darwin sort everyone out.
  7. So, in answer to my own question, it appears yes, the Madbull Omega X FSP rail does fit without modification. The barrel nut is to wide to secure the barrel by itself, due to the specific TM barrel design, but I’ve managed to secure it with a spare O ring which fits snuggly round the barrel and under the barrel nut.
  8. No mate it’s a knock off I got from Amazon if I remember correctly. It looks the part though.
  9. Does the Madbull Omega X FSP rail fit onto the TM MWS without modifications? Or any other make FSP rail. I’m sure it’s probably buried somewhere in the 180 pages of this thread, but nothing obvious came up in a search.
  10. I broke my shoulder in August and so all thoughts of exercise went down the crapper. Which is a shame because I was getting into decent shape. Anything more than walking was just to painful. 8 months later and I’m only just getting to the point where I can think about running again and not just long walks. I’m looking forward to getting some nice seafront runs in now the weather is better.
  11. I know this is a total necropost, but as it’s a review of my experience of Zero One and this is a thread of other people’s experience I thought it’s more appropriate to post here so anyone new can get to see a bunch of peoples experience as opposed to me creating a new thread. I’ve used Zero One quite a bit over the years, probably the shop I use the most in fact, and I’ve always found them to be quick, efficient and hassle free. Recently I’ve been after a TM M4A1 Carbine GBB. I want the old school carry handle and plastic handguard for a SWAT build, but I’ve struggled to find one in stock anywhere in the U.K. Zero One has had them listed as due soon for a while and I submitted a stock alert. After a little while I sent a message to them asking if they had an ETA and yesterday I got a phone call off one of the staff, (unfortunately I can’t remember who it was), telling me they had just got the M4A1 in stock, but only had one. They had telephoned me before they listed it in stock on the website to see if I still wanted it and so obviously I snapped it up. It’s just a little thing, but it’s stuff like that that I totally appreciate from a retailer. They could have just listed it in their site knowing that it would have sold quickly, but they took time out when they were busy to ring me out if the blue and provide me with a quality customer service. I don’t know if I’ve just been lucky, but so far I’ve not received bad customer service from any airsoft retailer. That’s one of the things I like about airsoft, particularly in the U.K. It seems that the retailers are interested in the sport/hobby as well and so they are happy to engage with customers and willing to provide a quality service.
  12. Is this a gas or electric upper?
  13. Yep, they look likely to be the one. Thanks guys. It was frustrating that I couldn’t find out what it was. I knew someone on here would know 😉
  14. Can anyone ID this firearm? I was watching an episode of the BBC documentary Caribbean and Simon Reeve the presenter spent time with a special police unit in the Dominican Republic. They were using the sub gun pictured below, but I don’t know what it is. It looks like a cross between an MP5 and a Sig of some sort. I was wondering if it was a Brazilian or South African built knockoff. In the program you can see that the charging handle is on the right side but it’s possible from the picture that it was originally under the Sig style handguard as there appears to be a hole where the original MP5 charging handle would have been.

  16. As Hamster said, you can paint a gun two tone without any issues regarding the Violent Crime Reduction Act as long as it’s a bright colour, such as red, blue, green, orange etc and not something that could be considered camouflage. The issues are when you paint a two tone gun black or some form of camouflage colour as under VCRA you’re actually creating a realistic imitation firearm. You shouldn’t have any issues repainting your gun.
  17. I didn’t realise empty boxes were worth so much. I should empty out my garage and raise a fortune.
  18. https://prefired.co.uk/ads/a-realistic-replica-of-an-assault-rifle/ Oooh, £500 for this super realistic replica assault rifle which retails for around £225 brand new. Where do I sign up? The write up in his advert has been cut and pasted straight from the blurb on Fire Supports website, so it’s not like he can say he doesn’t know the price.

    Non Working/Parts

You can buy any internal or external parts without the need to provide a defence. As Adolf Hamster mentioned thought, there is an issue around the manufacturing of a RIF. If you buy a bunch of parts with the intention of assembling a RIF then you risk issues, but if you’re intending to get into teching for people, upgrading your own or others RIF’ s then you have a defence there and it shouldn’t be a problem.
  20. https://prefired.co.uk/ads/we-tactical-glock-unique/ Here you go boys and girls, a once in a lifetime opportunity to buy this unique tactical Glockalike from WE. I’m guessing when he says unique what he’s actually talking about is the price, because every store has them and most of them are cheaper than this, especially when you add the £8 postage.
  21. This is why you’ve got to love VFC. Yes, some of the internals are not the best, particularly in GBB’s, although they are better these days. But, they’re not afraid to bring out something different. Not just another AR platform. Hopefully that FAL will be available soon and at a decent price. I got really exited for a second when I saw the MK48 thinking it was going to be a GBB, but you can’t have everything.
  22. I’ll usually ask for more pictures to be emailed anyway as part of my anti scammer checks. Usually with my and the sellers user name and the date. But, decent photos from the outset would save mine and the sellers time if it’s clearly not something I’m after.
  23. THIS ADVERT IS 'UNCOMPLETED' - THIS MEANS THE ADVERTISER HASN'T BUMPED THIS LISTING, BUT IT COULD STILL BE WORTH CONTACTING THEM.
