    Tm Desert Eagle Rocket valve?

    Bought a TM DE as spares and repairs.

    The mag was leaking all over the place but I seem to have fixed that. However the gun pisses out a tonne of gas on every shot. 1 mag of gas lasts about 5 shots. I know these things use a lot of gas but this is too much.

     

    I asked someone yesterday their advice, and he said it seems to be missing a rocket valve from inside the loading nozzle.

    The loading nozzle was replaced in this gun apparently.

     

    I'm not so sure this gun uses one now that I have it in bits. It has what I think is a floating valve in it instead.

     

    I'm no expert though so hoping for some advice here. Could it just be a knackered mag? The bottom of the mag is missing too which tells me he's had it in bits.

    Preston and myself attend the D days (normal skirmishes) at MAW every 4 weeks. He likes it more than I do as I prefer indoor cqb but MAW is a very good site, especially the marshals. They really know how to give you a good day no matter how many turn up. Last time was about 40-50 people I believe but the time before that was about 120. Well worth a visit especially for only 15 quid if you have your own gear.

     

    The Gaol in Rutland is still on my list to try out and I'd like to go back to the towers at least once a month

    Good to meet you too mate. Loved your last stand attempt from behind the door too. lol.

     

    I agree with everything akey said about the site.

     

    My only addition would be that it wasn't quite finished with the barricades and they told us as much before we even got in. They were there until 1am making the site playable for us and Felix even slept there.

    I loved that there were some places where the 2 teams were at a stand off, but you could just nip in to the court yard and flank them. You really do need to watch your back there.

     

    I didn't spend much time upstairs really as most of our team were up there. I'll hopefully be going on the 5th July too as long as there's still spaces available on payday.

    I'd ask your site about the bang rule.

    Basically very few, but some, sites will let snipers just say bang within min engagement/a few metres. The woodland site I go to doesn't because who's to say they will actually hit you at that range anyway? So just shouting BANG is gay.

     

    Imo you did nothing wrong mate.

    If he can't engage because he doesn't have the correct equipment then that's his problem. Sounds like he was trying to use the power of his voice to get a hit.

    I'm from Syston.

     

    The Embassy is my fave site by far.

    I like MAW, the marshals and players are great but I'm a CQB fan and I dislike woodland.

    The Towers open on 7th June.

    The Block is in Burton on Trent, not too far away. I'll be there for the first time on Wednesday.

     

    I'd go Embassy if I were you mate. Fire fire zone will still be there after 24th right? Embassy won't. I'm booked in for embassy on 24th.

     

    I also joined Shadow Stalkers team. Great guys.

    Looking to get someone's opinion on the value of my shooter. May consider selling it to speed up the saving process for my 416.

    Corrected AOE (not done yet but will be shortly as well as a slightly stronger spring)

    Was shooting at about 318 but that will change when the AOE is corrected and a new spring is put in. Hopefully the strong spring will counteract the FPS loss from the AOE correction so it should remain around the same. I'm just waiting on the spring

    Maybe the motor seized?

    Try taking connecting the motor but not put it in the pistol grip and see if it spins on.

    Also, go in the gearbox, remove the piston and check your gears spin freely with little resistance. If there's resistance then check for damage, you might need new gears. Shim and regrease while you're in it too.
