  1. Looking to change to lipo batteries. Am I right in thinking this charger; http://www.componentshop.co.uk/accucel-6-digital-charger.html Will be fine to charge these batteries; http://www.componentshop.co.uk/11-1v-2600mah-cranestock-battery.html
  2. I'm not sure what you wanted a link to :s
  3. I had the same problem when wiring up a mosfet. I ended up soldering 0.75mm copper cable through the gearbox.
  4. Tried a few BBs through it this evening. I wish I had a chrono to confirm but it sure looked like the rof has improved. The trigger response it really noticeable. I have a stock TM mp5 and the trigger response compared to that is like night and day. I'm very happy I've done this, it makes me feel like a competent airsofter. It's daunting at first, especially when you haven't got anyone around to tell you where you might of gone wrong. If you take your time and inspect how each part meshes with another one it shouldn't be too difficult. I think everyone should go through this procedure before can call yourself a serious airsofter. One thing I would suggest which I wish I had done is take pictures as you go along. It might just save you an hour of trauling the internet to find out which way a part goes or where that "extra" spring might go
  5. Thanks, I'm hoping this gun will last a few years. I realise that modding the ROF will put more stress on the parts but I'm hoping it isn't too drastic. The big difference will be the motor and battery, may need to get a new spring to speed up the piston.
  6. I've just watched loads of youtube videos. It's pretty easy really; a few gears, a piston and a couple of springs. Once you grease it up in there it holds most of it in place. Rewiring took the longest time. Reshimming only took about an hour - no grinding or crunching sounds so far. Just ordered the last of the internals to finish the job off; 70D Sorbo pad Ported cylinder bearing spring guide Hopefully I won't have to open this sucker up for awhile after this. All that's left is a Lipo & motor which I'll look into after payday
  7. Secret would of been to message me, I might of got you some from my work for next to nothing Just checked, we've got reels of the good stuff!
  8. Rewired the mosfet in and put it all back together. IT'S ALIVE! Tooks me a few hours this evening. As someone previsouly said, the wires that came with the mosfet are huge. So big that the first time wiring it up and trying it the motor cut through the wire. I had to strip it all down again and got some 0.75mm red and black wire from work. The wiring job is appauling to be honest, not my proudest work i've done. I found it really fiddly and had to reuse the original motor clips as the ones with the mosfet broke (probably my fault). Anyway, I'll have to try some round through it tomorrow when I'm home. Not too sure if I've gained any ROF yet (Changed the gears, bushes for bearings and shimmed it while it was open) but atleast it's ready for 11.1V lipo and a lonex A1 motor.
  9. Yea I might change them for 1.5mm cable. I'll sort it tonight and then test it. Hopefully I've shimmed it right, fingers crossed!
  10. Bought a few things from bullseye country sport and got a 10% discount if you spend more than £14.99. Enter: BULLSEYE10 into basket

  11. Reshimmed with new gear. I took the mosfet off, weren't happy with my soldering job. I'll get someone at work tonight to redo it tonight. I put it all back together, it was so easy with the use of grease
  12. Cool thanks. Mine got the pneumatic blow back and I want to stop it so the cylinder needs changing.
  13. Hamsterfet SHS 13:1 gears SHS tappet plate SHS cylinder head SHS 8mm bearings Lonex grease Just need a new piston and cylinder! Am I right in thinking a cylinder is just a cylinder? Can one be better than the other? And for piston I was thinking polycarbonate with full metal teeth? The plan is for high ROF.
  14. I just fitted one of these. Super easy to wire up, you just need to know how to put your gearbox back together.
  15. TM mp5. I bought it second hand last year. It's still running great so use it for back up or when friends come along who don't usually play.
  16. Mosfet fitted and tested. It worked! - HURRAY!! I had trouble with the extra wire. It wouldn't fit in the gearbox so I've had to cut 2 locating pins off. Waiting for parts sucks!
  17. Lol I won't give up on it. I work in engineering on the docks and know a couple people that's stripped these gear boxes in the past. Hopefully te MOSFET arrives today to start on it
  18. No point in putting back together yet really. I'm waiting for the gears, bushes, bearing, cylinder and spring guide to arrive
  19. It's going well so far! It amazes me so simple a gun is made up!
  20. Well looking to improve ROF and thinking I'll be needing a lipo so would this be enough?
  21. Hey all I'm not very tech savvy when it comes to airsoft so be gentle . I'm looking at sticking a MOSFET on my gun. I don't want a fancy one, I just want it to save my trigger contacts with a lipo (that's what a MOSFET does right?). Googling mosfet shows up a land mind of different types. The one I'm looking at is the hamsterfet. It seems simple enough to fit. Has anyone had any experience with it?
  22. Welcome! We all started where you are. More questions you ask the more money you'll save!
