  1. I've said it before and I'll say it again... You don't half listen to some shite. BUT that video linked to another and so on and now I'm reliving my (relative) youth...
  2. You're not a pain, just need to lay out the questions so us pedants and old duffers can follow you! Anyway - sticking with Military 1st for a bit the Helikon BDUs are great trousers and are "proper" BDU style in as much as they are fairly loose cut with a plethora of storage options. They don't have pockets in the knee for pads of any sort though (but they are double thickness reinforced). Helikon SFU trousers are a more modern cut so they fit a bit closer but they also have built in pockets for knee pads (which you would need to buy separately). If you want something a bit more tacticool then you'll want to look at some of the Crye G2/G3 type trousers that have those little plastic kneepads in them (they're actaully attached to a much larger foam/neoprene type of pad internally), I'd suggest looking for brands like Emerson if you want to stick inside your budget (try www.shootercbgear.com although dispatch will be delayed because of the Chinese New Year - you can get them in the UK/EU but they'll cost more).
  3. Wild stab in the dark he wants to know where to get black BDUs and whether or not he should get the ones with built in kneepads. Of course....we'd then have to explain that the ones with built in knee pads aren't really BDUs but that's a whole different world of pedantry. A more relevant question would be how much does he want to spend? That way we can suggest Military 1st or Hueys depending on which way his budget goes...
  4. You talk like I've never been there! How long has it been semi only at evening games?
  5. ooooohhhh.....an evening game. Pussies Must get back there some time.
  6. So? I take it you're talking about the Malls? I've used mine there, just stay in the auto areas and use it as much as you can before lunch
  7. I wondered if that was the case. In summary then - buy the part from Land warrior as linked by Berto and remove the top part of the sight or change the whole outer barrel to a solid one the right length. Or just grind it off with a dremel and repaint the end of the barrel.
  8. The price is steep considering they are only steel mesh at the front. The sides are only material to give you a better cheek weld. If you had a pair of cutters and the time/inclination you could pretty easily mod any steel mask to be like this. Personally I'd want to reinstate some protection with foam/neoprene or even just make it asymmetrical - only make it material on the side you have your weapon (unless of course you transition all the time to get around corners).
  9. Just looking for anyone with direct experience of this gun really - looking to build a Mk18 for not loads of money and wondered if it was a decent enough platform to start from. I know the rail is plastic but what how does it mount to the receiver? Is it capable of taking a metal rail at a later stage if so desired? Is the gun generally decent or am I going to spend the same again replacing the guts? Have at it! Note - I'd rather have people with direct experience answer than a guy who saw his brothers mates uncle using one on youtube once. Cheers.
  10. Just thought - aren't the combat machine sights moulded on?
  11. Just what I was going to suggest!
  12. Is it threaded in the back end or is it pinned/screwed on?
  13. The problem is that the gun you have is just not very good and is not really upgradeable/repairable. Use it while it still works, then import a proper AEG if you can.
  14. You can get pouches that attach to the stock but they look awful.
  15. I know. I was doing comedy.
