  1. Cant help with the L85 although I think ICS make one. Regarding the others, G&G Top Tech or G&P. Also look at VFC. Have a google - lots of retailers do these in the UK. Even if you want to buy in the UK, have a look at the EHobby Asia website as a catalogue reference.
  2. As I said, there isnt really a lot of choice with GBBR outside of WE. Thats why many of us go for AEGs (that and the low maintenance). Dont think you can with Tippmann because I think its a high pressure system but others will know better.
  3. I also thought Tokyo Marui were bringing out a GBBR M4 but a quick UK google failed to find it.
  4. I have a TM MP7 GBBR which is used in semi automatic mode by UK forces for force protection in specific areas but its not a mainstream UK weapon.
  5. They're isnt a huge choice when you filter the weapon selection by gas and specific RS weapon types. Gas is gaining in popularity in airsoft but its higher price, low temperature problems and maintenance needy ways keeps the maker choice reduced. Apart from WE, have a look at the GHK range at Socom Tactical.
  6. I hear that they have discontinued the Gen3 due to MOSFET issues and are working on a new version with the ASCU MOSFET. Personally if you arent worried about operating at 11Volts, I would go for the proven Gen2 version. Airsoft Zone in Romford have stock.
  7. Im sure if they had my headset, it would have gone fine. However, I think its unethical to take an order and money from a customer inder the premise of ex stock and then change the story. Once I pointed that their website was wrong, they didnt even change it, so somebody else is liable to get suckered. http://www.tacticalgeartrade.co.uk/tri-comtac-iii-single-com-noise-reduction-headset-od-for-tri-mil-spec-ptt.html They also definitely in China or HK SAR which I suspected, but use a UK web domain and its not particularly clear where the goods come from. I wont use them again, but feel free if you think there are substantial savings to be had.
  8. normally they give the form to a pet retailer and its done within a week
  9. Scenario/storyline for Op Firestorm will be updated last week of April, after Op Tailspin which is the no.2 game in the series is played out.
  10. If you look at the NEV site I linked to, he suppliesreal recon Bowmans and a PTT to link to a Kenwood connection for the Baofeng. Not cheap but better than keep replacing Z Tacs.
  11. You buy the PTT separately. Its a product of whichever headset you use. Generally its hard wired and sits on your chest somewhere. Thats how the British Army use Bowmans anyway..
  12. We use them for our Okto Eight milsims and one of the players has even built his into a base station cabinet for visual realism !
  13. No Baofengs are brilliant radios. Ive got three. Of course, if you lay on them or fall on them, they will break. You dont need them exposed - just make sure you can access the volume knob. Anyway at that price, they are sacrificial in game.
  14. they arent hard to find, but they wont work with Baofengs without modification
  15. No they were TRI Comtacs but Ive cancelled the order now.
  16. The problem is that you either buy cheap Z Tacs and they often break or you spend a lot of money on the real thing. People cant always afford the real thing just for Airsoft. Its a pity nobody makes a mid range product. There is a guy in Chelmsford who converts real Bowmans but never used him.
  17. Also unlike Tactical Gear Trade who have just messed me about over some Comtacs, the supplier of this headset apologised for the delay and have sent me a free patch, which I thought was thoughtful of them.
  18. Maybe, maybe not. Dont really need it for Tailspin.
  19. Just cancelled my order with Tactical Gear Trade for TRI Comtacs. Listed the product as ex stock. Placed my order and they took Paypal payment. When I emailed to ask about ETA, they advised not in stock and no idea when. Backorder. When I tried to cancel the order, they firstly offered me some Z Tac stuff, then it would be a week. Couldnt get them to acknowledge cancellation so raised a dispute via Paypal and got a refund.
  20. Its Kenwood on the Baofeng. You dont have much supplier choice with Bowman (Z Tac or Element). I have a bone conduction headset on order from a US company and will see how that performs.

A massive seam of high grade, Titanium yielding ore was discovered in Moldistan last year, unexpectedly propelling this sleepy, poor, woodland country into the limelight of international politics and high level commerce. Operation Firestorm is the third game in this series (although it’s not necessary for new players to have played at the previous two games - it’s easy to just pick up this game at the latest stage). In previous games, the allegedly corrupt and autocratic president of Moldistan, Aleksandr Gretsky manipulated both the US and Russian governments, in order to get the best price for the valuable commodity coming from his new Titanium mine at Gorazh. The Peoples Front of Moldistan (MPF), an anti-Gretsky political body of former governmental soldiers and radicals have taken to the forest to avoid persecution. Their leader Nikolay Jakov, a modern day Robin Hood has surrounded himself with his “merry men” and together they harass and harry the government army at every turn. Since the Titanium was discovered, Moldistan has suddenly become an interesting proposition for the West. Various Coalition Special Forces and security agencies have become involved, much to the frustration of Gretsky and the Moldistan government. This level of unwanted interest has increased noticeably since Gretsky signed a Titanium trade agreement to supply the Russians, effectively shunning the US. Titanium is important to the Russian economy and is being used to produce key lightweight components in their armaments industries. Moscow is therefore very keen to protect their new supply line. The US, not unsurprisingly, would have liked another outcome. In the last game, Operation Tailspin, a coalition spy plane engaged in a black-ops flight over Moldistan, developed technical problems and crash landed in the dense forest that makes up a large part of the country. A red-faced coalition immediately tasked a Special Forces team to extract the pilot (who had safely ejected) together with some sensitive technology, before an international political incident occurred. The mission was a mixed success. The pilot was recovered safely but a flight data recorder, containing incriminating flight logs for the spying mission, fell into the hands of the Moldistan government. However, the Special Forces team were able to partly redeem themselves by capturing a valuable research scientist who was essential to Gretsky’s ambitious weapon manufacturing plans. An expert in potent liquid explosives and miniaturised aerial vehicles (tiny insect-sized surveillance drones), Professor Gagarsky is now sunning himself in Florida with a new job. The MPF were instrumental in this largely successful operation, assisting the Coalition in return for two cases of the finest Kalashnikov assault rifles. Gretsky’s army, the Moldistan Defence Force (MDF) struggled bravely to defend their country against an overwhelming force. Hampered by western technology, troop defections to the rebels and poor support from their own government, the MDF, a disciplined and professional army made a gallant “blood and guts” effort right to the end. This is all now consigned to history. Let’s move forward to now. Gretsky is furious. His Titanium mine is operational, but the Russians are putting on pressure to increase production. With the defection of his scientist, he has effectively lost his “Special Research Facility” and the rebels are growing in power every day. Of course, he will make the most of any propaganda by exposing the flight records of the recent coalition black-ops spying mission to the worlds media, but does anybody care enough for it to make a difference?? Frustrated by the various factions interfering in his country and a growing threat of civil war which could result in revolution and his eventual demise, Gretsky has been seen to repeatedly thump the oversized desk in his presidential office in anger. His latest tirade had him instructing his assembled Generals to “rain fire down on the heads of anybody opposing his will”. Operation Firestorm is in progress – the Gretsky hammer is about to fall and he has some very special plans to turn the tide. Everything is at stake and he has to lift the morale of his troops, make sure the MDF are victorious and vanquish his enemies once and for all. A new mysterious force enters the arena, in the form of Mercury, a shadowy Private Military Contractor (PMC) run by an American ex special ops individual named Granger. MPF, MDF, Mercury or a coalition-led Special Operations Force – who you going to fight for ?
