    I notice that you are posting a lot of question topics and comments. Have you read this guide yet? It's among the best advice available for new players on here. It will save you a lot of money and time asking questions. The JustBBGuns thread on here is one of the best reads on the forum (Link). And as a general rule of thumb, don't buy your gear from any site which has any of the words "cheap" or "BB Guns" in the name. As for that website (liveextreme), I've never heard of it until you brought it up. *edit: just looked through their products. They are charging SIGNIFICANTLY more money for a lot of guns on their site than I would expect to pay from sites like Airsoft World, ZeroOne, TaiwanGun or even Land Warrior. [EG: My wee brother bought a JG MAC11 from Airsoft World and paid extra for two tone. It fires about 230FPS maximum. Cost about £100 (including batteries, magazines x2). The site you're looking at is charging over £150 for the same thing, and claim it shoots at "280 – 300 FPS". {for reference: that gun on AirsoftWorld compared with that same gun on LiveExtreme}] Quality wise, the AEGs they are selling are pretty meh other than a few exeptions.*

    I'd get the Combat Machine, even if you plan to play indoors. A shotgun works well indoors, but an AEG will give you a LOT more choices as to where you can play.

    The price of the gun was about $200. At the time, exchange rate made the gun cost about £140. Import tax included came to about £180 or so. But he tells me that after all the pissing around at customs and with (express) p&p it ended up costing about £235. So all in all, p&p, inport tax and customs set the price to £95 over the advertised price. Pissed him off. A lot.

    Eventually, after paying a "small" fee (it really wasn't small) they let it through.

    Problems with Evike: - The gun may be cheap over there, but you will get absolutely smacked with import tax and shipping (Evike charge about $20 for UPS from Cali to Ma!) - Evike often don't paint enough of the gun. The law states that 51% or more must be painted. From friends' experience, Evike only painted the pistolgrip on his G36 and as a reslut took am extra month to get it past customs. - Be very carefull with what you buy! A lot of their *Evike Custom* series are just internally upgrades that cost significantly less if you buy the gun and then nuy the parts seperately. If I were you, I'd try to buy locally (within the UK). What GP is it?

    Would it be a bad idea to take my airsoft gear with me when I go to uni? I'm pretty sure the nearest skirmish site to me will be in Dundee (about 60 miles south of Aberdeen) and I havent got a car yet.

      All the weapons you've mentioned are lethal- airsoft guns aren't so they should be ok. It'll be worth emailing them asking anyway

      I kept archery equipment in my room at Aberdeen University. Just don't start taking pot shots at people out of your window and don't tell them about it. Don't ask, they will not find out that way. Also learn enough DIY to be able to hide any damage if for example you put an arrow through the bathroom door when you're bored :D

      That said, I know someone who was cleaning their rifle after a live firing op at cadets who forgot to do the NSPs and unlead properly. He shot a hole through our door.

      For uni. I like the town a lot- coldness and all! Lets me get a lot of time surfing while there (result!) But very little airsoft during term time (crap!)

      Aberdeen Uni or Robert Gordons? If it's Aberdeen Uni, try to get into Hillhead halls of Residence, it has less strict rules and is so big you get to know more people quickly. It's also close to the beach.

    I usually wear the same sort of rig that Pitt wears in the World War Z movie for when I'm playing CQB. With a different rifle, of course. Who the hell uses an M4 indoors anyway?

    I usually agree wth you Metile, but they run too effective an operation for them to go bust now. Sadly sites like OnlyBBGuns, JBBG and Airsplat (US based- trust me, they suck!) are too good at doing what they do to go under.

    *OT Post* Guardians Of The Galaxy is very good! Definitely better than Avengers (in my opinion, which might be very biased because Guardians is one of my favorite comic series that Marvel runs)
